Staff were very friendly. If you have never had a firehouse sub, you will love it! This firehouse sub location flanks the Smithfield Outlet shopping. We were there after lunch rush hour and they were still busy with walk-in orders and dine-in orders. The order process was explained to us very politely and the food was delicious. I do not recommend this location. The absolute worst Firehouse that I have ever visited. Soda was out then the staff is slanging chairs around and has on masks while they spray the grill with something that is caused such a fume the entire restaurant has been cleared out. Sandwich is doubled in Mayonnaise and is hardly edible. I rather throw it away than talk to the rude staff. Not sure what is going on at this location 6/11/2023. I have never been to a restaurant like this and do not recommend this Firehouse unfortunately. I am still trying to clear my throat from the chemical fumes. read more

Good quick service and delicious subs- we ordered for 4 people while on a road trip and I was very pleased with the accuracy and speed of my order. Honestly, my hook and ladder sub hit the spot and was so delicious that I complimented the sandwich maker. I like that you can choose wheat or white (and even gluten free now) bread and it is all made to order. The inside was clean and pleasant too. read more

Bread was fresh and tasty, ingredients were put together like they were professional sub makers. Any other sub made from other places need to take note, and try to be like Fire House Subs!!! I came here with my family that lives in the area. I have to say, this was a very good Firehouse! I have eaten at several Firehouses and I can always expect great food. This location had great food and great service. The people working were very sweet and respectful and seem to work very well together. They created a nice and warm atmosphere here. Went to eat on Sunday. My grandma was sick nearly immediately and is still sick (1 week and 1 day later). We couldn't figure out what it could have been, but the doctor called today with her results... E. Coli. She is 80 years old; this could have killed her. The only thing she ate that my sister and I didn't eat was the potato soup. The restaurant itself seemed very unsanitary but with it being Sunday at lunch, everywhere else was packed. Now I know why Firehouse was nearly empty. Stay away. Stay far, far away. read more

When I put the pick up time for my subs as 5:37, I don't want them made at 5:13pm per the order receipt for the kitchen. They were stone cold when I got them off the rack. I will try Clayton next time. read more

I went to Firehouse yesterday to have a quick lunch and then got a call from my wife asking me to get 2 takeout subs for my daughters. I engaged in friendly banter with the cashier while I ordered a 4 inch ham & cheese sub and an 8 inch turkey & cheese sub. I mentioned plain subs several times during the order. Well I get in the car and drive to meet my daughters at the Outlet nearby and both the sandwiches have lettuce and tomato and one even has mayo on it. I drive back over and ask them to remake both subs as they were supposed to be plain with meat and cheese only. They remake the subs but I decided to check both subs before I leave the store - they only have meat on them, No cheese! I ask them to add cheese and then I ask for a manager. I didn't ask for a refund, I only asked they do better on service for their customers. The manager could have cared less about their mistakes that occurred twice. NO apology, just bored indifference to the mistake they made. I would recommend going elsewhere for food as management doesn't seem to care about doing things correctly. I'm sure they will just call me a male Karen but I only got perturbed when they remade my sandwiches and still got it WRONG after receiving specific instructions. Save your money and go elsewhere! read more

Boy tried his best to help, but it just wasn't my day. I came from gym, I am having to count calories and I'm trying really hard and doing good but it's hard especially when people don't get the order right twice.
