This was our first time to Biscuitville. The staff were very friendly and the biscuits and gravy were really good. Sweet tea was great.

Where was their room for dessert?! Now we understand why everyone had to go boxes! Yes! You want to eat here!

When I walked in the door, they have a waiting area with benches. Make sure to get your name added to the list and get a pager first though. The diner attracts many regulars, and knows them by name, and the regulars know each other, too. I liked the community vibe. It didn't take long for a table to become available, and I was seated and my drink order taken. I went with the Tuesday special of beef tips and rice, and selected deviled eggs and baked apples for my sides. I got some Hush Puppies too. I was intrigued by the chicken pastry special and ordered that to go with sides of mashed potatoes and zucchini. The chicken pastry is similar to chicken and dumplings. It was well packaged so nothing spilled on my drive home. I was amazed that the items were still hot when I got home. I wish I lived closer to dine here more often, but it is a treat to dine here for the delicious Southern food and great service.

I had the bourbon berry crush and it was a perfect blend of bourbon and fresh berries and mint and was not overly sweet. We also had the spicy peach margarita and I highly recommend trying this spin on a classic. It was a very refreshing margarita that was freshly made and not overly sweet. The shoestring okra is an appetizer that you have to try. I honestly could have eaten two plates, it is perfectly crispy and a bit spicy with a great aioli dipping sauce. We also had the heirloom tomatoes with goat cheese and the pork rinds and pimento cheese. They were all devoured and enjoyed by all. I ordered the cornmeal crusted catfish with grits and blistered okra. I honestly can't remember the last time I enjoyed a meal so much. The catfish and the grits paired together perfectly. We also had jambalaya and pork schnitzel. I can't wait to return. The waitress was very knowledgeable and the ambiance was great for a girl's night. They even brought a cake out for the birthday we were celebrating.

On Wednesday's they were doing all gluten-free menu and it was amazing...no crazy unreasonable upcharges, just honest menu pricing and great food. As of this review they are the #2 most reviewed place in Raleigh only behind the Pit. When we went last week for a farewell dinner it took us 3 weeks to get in. We got turned away 2 other times. The place was always packed and busy yet cozy and calm with great service. Hopefully they relocate or put some of the items from the menu at Pooles. Fuquay could use a nice place like this and it would be way cheaper than Raleigh! Best of luck to the staff in the future as they all look for work.

I understand as if you aren't seated when they open, you can expect a 90-minute to two-hour wait. I was hoping to get the Chicken Pot Pie this time and thought my prior visit was just off. I was thrilled that most of the menu was available. They were just out of the banana pudding. So I got to try the pecan wings I read about with the white sauce. It was so good. Then I got the chicken pot pie and biscuits. The pot pie had old biscuits for the topping, but the creamy mixture with large chunks of chicken was delicious. My biscuits came with honey and were served warm. I left with a slice of the chocolate-caramel-coconut cake, a side salad without onions, and a fried boneless thigh. The salad was made correctly, and the dressing was included. The salad was full of veggies, and the cake was rich and moist. Service was friendly and as soon as I finished my iced tea, another appeared. My wings were brought out first and it was a while for the rest of the meal as the restaurant was full. But they didn't rush me at all. I actually liked the space between the dishes, as I might not have been able to eat it all otherwise. I couldn't finish both biscuits and was even provided a container for the honey. I am going to miss Beasley's, but I'm glad I got a positive experience to remember the restaurant.

They do have seating available, but it feels more like a place where most people order their food and take it home. The parking lot is a little tight, but the food made up for it. The seafood was good, and overall the meal was worth the wait. One thing I enjoyed was their homemade lemonade. They also have plenty of menu options and daily specials depending on the day of the week, so there's a good chance you'll find something that fits what you're craving. Overall, it was a good experience. If you're in the Raleigh area and looking for some good seafood and soul food, I'd recommend giving this place a try. At the very least, it's worth checking off your list and seeing what all the buzz is about.
