I have been getting the same order & just can't seem to change it. Oh well. I love their engineer sub - it comes with Turkey & roast beef (I think) and mushrooms plus Swiss cheese, mustard & Mayo. Picked up the order and went home. Sandwiches were WRONG. Once again. Have had numerous issues with the location 14356 Lincoln St., Thornton CO 80023. You would think that by me entering in all the info on the app the makers should be able to just go straight down the line. NO! 1st Medium Italian was missing chopped pickles, we found 1 piece. And they put jalapenos on it, making it inedible for my wife, who doesnt like spicy food. Missing Italian dressing. 2nd Medium Italian was missing the chopped pickles, jalapenos, and Italian dressing. We went to show our family member firehouse subs for the first time. As soon as we left, little did we know that we would have a health issue on our hands. One of the members in our party is extremely allergic to mayonnaise. She was given a sandwich with not only mayo but also added onions that was not apart of her food request. We are thankful she checked her food before she ate, or she would've had to be shipped off to the hospital. Also, the three kids meals we ordered did not come with their side of a rice krispy treat. My husband and I usually love firehouse subs. We chose to go here today despite other sandwich shops in the same shopping center, knowing we love firehouse. Our 1st impression was not great. The shop was dirty and unkept. We placed our orders and when I asked the young man taking our order how they were cleaning the soda machine, he seemed surprised! They had cups just sitting out for people to just grab. No hand sanitizer in site anywhere. I was going to use the restroom to wash my hands before eating a sandwich, however the bathrooms had an "employees only" sign on them! 1/2 of the folks behind the counter were not wearing their masks correctly, having noses and mouths exposed. One gal had super long hair and while it was up in a ponytail, it was so long that it was still all over the place. This place obviously isn't doing much so stop the spread of COVID 19. Now let's talk about the subs. These were disappointing at best. The meat was different than most firehouse subs and the bread was soggy. The pickles were even gross and all smashed up. I've been here a couple times now and they do a good job. I enjoy Firehouse for a quality sandwich and they haven't been disappointing here. I got the Turkey Bacon Ranch sandwich this time and I had the Steak and Cheese last time. The ingredients have been fresh and the bread is tasty. The layout is a little strange and doesn't flow very well. I usually get chips and a drink with my meal and the drink machine is the touch screen like the other Firehouse places I've been to. I haven't had much luck on the syrup being stocked very well for the drink I want. I had to get a different drink than what I planned, which isn't a huge deal, but is disappointing. Firehouse is our favorite sandwich place and we probably go here once a week! The food is always fresh and tasty and we've never had any issues with order accuracy. Sometimes it takes a bit long to receive the order, but it's always great when we do! The only complaint is it does seem to be getting a little pricey for sandwiches. Good food but if you call in your order or order online check your order before you leave. Multiple times we've ordered and realized after getting home that things weren't right on the order. The biggest annoyance is when you drive to a restaurant, get there only to find out they are closed! All the websites say your open till nine, the sign near the door says 9 and ur completely closed by 8:40? The customer service tonight was excellent! The guy working the register was very friendly. The ice machine wasn't working so he would ask everyone how much ice they needed and took their cups to the back to fill them. Whenever my boyfriend and son go in maybe one person will say "welcome to firehouse." Lack of enthusiasm to an extreme. The dining room--whether the restaurant has 20 customers or 5--is a mess. Our sandwiches are always made correctly (wait times could use some work 8+ minutes). I'd also like to point out two gentlemen that work for this location. Unfortunately I do not know their names, but one employee who has some tattoos and facial hair gave our son a fireman hat when he wasn't even clocked in and was about to leave from work. First, I would like to say that this review is NOT reflective of Firehouse Subs as a whole. I think Firehouse Subs has some of the best shops around. However, while this store is relatively new, I've seen other new restaurants pull their s#!t together much more quickly. This review is about The Firehouse Subs "Grove" site in Thornton. I was initially excited to hear that we were going to have a Firehouse a little bit closer to home. I love the subs at the Northglenn/Grant store. What went in at the Thornton/Lincoln site is a sad excuse for a Firehouse Subs store. My g/f and I went there a month ago, just shortly after they opened. Given, my g/f and I can be somewhat picky, what we ask is not difficult. She got a large BBQ Brisket and I got the large Meatball Sub with Pepperoni. I like the pepperoni on bottom, not top. She requests a light run of mayo. Neither requests were what we got. Mine was messy, with more grease than marinara. Hers had very little BBQ sauce but was drowned in Mayo. Needless to say, the subs were thrown out. They were THAT BAD. We then called and spoke to Pam, the store manager. She was very pleasant, and offered to send us free sub coupons so we could try them again once they had a little more practice. We accepted and received our cards in the week. Fast forward to tonight. It has been a month and a half since our first encounter with this store. Needless to say it was...awkward. Pam basically reneged on the cards stating, "well these are only for medium sandwiches." Then made her cashier feel bad right in front of us for not knowing how to apply the discount. Fine. We paid for our combos and the second sandwich. She got the large Tuna Salad, I got the large BBQ Brisket...no mayo. We got home. Started eating. Within a quarter of the Tuna salad, my g/f became physically ill. My sandwich was the worst sandwich I've ever had from Firehouse. It's kind of hard to mess up a BBQ Brisket, but this store found a way. For a large BBQ Brisket, it had one tablespoon of BBQ. I'm not exaggerating. I had to warm up sauce just to make it work. Do yourself a favor - avoid this store for a long, long time. Take a drive to the Firehouse Subs on Grant in Northglenn where they know how to make a sandwich and provide far superior service.
