My new favorite brunch spot up north! I used to live nearby and always wanted to come in, I regret it taking so long but I'm so glad I finally did! The food here is so good, and the staff is even more amazing. It's very homely, not a big chain and it definitely shows. Everyone is so nice, smiles all around and it's an all around feel good place. They have the breakfast staples but also some specials that are creative and delicious! We've had nutella crepes, chicken fried steak, breakfast burrito (which is massive!) and a special of the day - strawberry cheesecake waffle. All the ingredients come together perfectly and melts in your mouth! The one thing you HAVE to get is the cinnamon roll. Eat it while it's hot and gooey, you won't regret it! Next time I'm going to get the Salted Caramel Cinnamon roll. On Friday and Saturday they are open until 8 pm so you can enjoy them if you're unable to make it during the lunch hours! read more

Positive thoughts, first the cinnamon rolls are huge and eating them warm and fresh they are delicious. Negative thoughts next, there are onions in the hashbrowns. Wish I would have known that because I could have just ordered something different. Also it wasn't "a little onion" it was a lot. Even my husband who loves onion says it was all he could taste. Biscuits were dense and dry. Jam that went with the biscuit was more a runny sauce than a jam. Would I come back, maybe Price on the high end. Kenzie was AMAZING. She was super nice and checked on us frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. Service was really awesome and everyone was so nice. The food was really, really good. I got a cheeseburger with a side salad and my mom got a whimpy skinny papas with a side pancake. Pancake was soooo good and I literally have no complaints. They kept things moving even during the rush and the vibe was really chill. I would 100% recommend this to anyone in the area. I think this place is great. I've been here a number of times and each and every time it has not disappointed. The breakfast food is awesome, and their portions are huge so make sure you come hungry. They have a lot of great options from sweet to savory, to loads of meat, to eggs on eggs on eggs. My kids love this place as well which is a bonus because they tend to be pretty picky eaters. I've never been sad with what I've ordered but my favorite is most likely the Papas (Cowboy). read more

Visiting the area and searched for a place that is open before our family had to be at an early sport event. Doug's Diner is located in a large shopping center and has plenty of parking. Portions are large and pricing is great. The customer service with Kenziee was FABULOUS! Warm and friendly, she ensured our coffee was topped off and warm, our food came quickly, and that we got out in time to make our daughter's warm ups on field with leftovers and coffee in hand. OMG!!! Looking to absolutely send you tastbuds to the moon? You have to come to Doug's Diner. I got the Colorado bison burger (locally sourced meat) and it did not disappoint. Was skeptical with the grape jelly on top but thought "welp, when in Thornton!" Perfectly cooked and super tasty. I would have paid 50$ for this burger. We also had the hillbilly breakfast, which came with a godly amount of biscuits and gravy, 3 eggs and bacon that tasted like a ribeye steak. This is a great brunch place in the area and worth the wait. We came in around 9:30 to beat the crowd. I do think they can fit more people in if they break up some of the tables since they don't really have two tops. Their staff is mainly friendly and helpful. The food is what makes us coming back. The food is fresh and homemade. The homemade jams are a must try along with the griddle biscuits. Got the eggs Benedict - burnt English muffins (black) knife couldn't cut into the muffin. Told the waitress after I ate the first and was like I can't even eat this the muffin is so burnt and the knife won't cut - waitress goes you want a new one. Ingredients are pretty low quality, canned mushrooms, spinach didn't wilt in my omelet at all and the guac that came on the plate was not good at all. So clearly we didn't order well. Solid breakfast. Walked in on a Saturday morning around 10am with a standard 15-20 minute wait. By the time we left I overheard the wait was up to 40 min. Definitely worth a 20 min wait, probably not 40 though. Simple, no frills dining space with a small waiting area. Nice outside patio area as well but it was a little chilly so was not in use. Server was quick, attentive and friendly enough. Coffee and OJ was very good. I asked what kind of OJ they had, she said it wasn't fresh squeezed or anything but I wanted to try it anyway. OJ was cold and delicious, coffee was hot and better than most diner coffee. A sign read "HAVE YOU TRIED CINNAMON ROLLS?" so I had to try one. It was gigantic, came out warm and was delicious with our coffee. The icing wasn't overly sweet but had more of a sour (not in a bad way) flavor. Steak and eggs were good, pretty standard. Chilaquiles were ok but a little too salty in some spots due to the chips being seasoned. Side of bacon was definitely the star for me. Overall, pretty damn good. We went for the 4th or 5th time last week. There was a 30m wait but it was noon on a sunday. My buddy and I both got the turkey sausage burrito which were monstrous. Food: Was super yummy and hit the spot. To start with we had the cinnamon roll which was huge, and not exaggerating when I say this but probably the size of my head. It was sooo yummy though and we scarfed that down. The cream cheese frosting was soo good and ooey and gooey. For breakfast I had the Mona Lisa omelette, which was really good. It was a very large portion, which I appreciated since it was also cheap. The peppers, mushrooms, and bacon were a good filling. The hash browns were good too. English muffin I wasn't crazy about but other than that it was good. Service: Was good and very fast, food came out fast, and we were in and out of there. Ambience: I like it! It's a cool brunch spot with lots of funny signs. One that stood out to me was "I dream of a world where a chicken can cross the road without being questioned for its motives." Any place that offers tomatoes with pesto as the default side garnish has my vote. The Eggs Benedict with spinach was excellent. Their hollandaise was super good.
