We saw the Fat (something) advertisement in DEN Airport and decided a good burger sounded good for lunch. The burger were nicely grilled with a good char on the outside. Was really craving a Philly cheesesteak recently and decided to order from fat shack. I thought to myself these guys do these wild stoner type sandwiches they've gotta have a legit regular old Philly right? Well not so much. Honestly maybe it's my own fault for not adding extra peppers and onions cuz I guesss I just assumed it would come with a decent amount. If you take anything away from this review it is to make sure to add those. I mean the sandwich wasn't bad it was just somewhat bland with the amount of onions / peppers that come standard. I also do need to point out the the onion rings were meh. They honestly tasted like out of a frozen bag. This place is a crazy experience, I can see why this joint has a reputation for the late night muchers. The store itself is tiny, befitting for a goblin like myself (helps me get to places quicker). It's pretty dark with all the black paint, though. And the wait to get your food is pretty lengthy, but the wait is reasonable for the food you get. That food is a drunk's dream. Fries crammed into your choice and style of sub. And the sizes are thicker than the examples. So choose wisely. read more

Awful. Just don't do it. This was literally the last place we wanted to eat at but it was 10:00 and none of the "open" restaurants would seat us. We were not excited about the filthy lobby (I mean...you have to try hard to have that dirty of a lobby) but we were starving after our kids played basketball all day and 3 other restaurants would not seat us. This anomaly and good intuition led me to think on the national meat shortage in regards to covid 19 and meat processing facilities being closed. Be weary. I have been a happy loyal customer of this location since they opened, which makes this post even more sad. I preordered wings for this last weekends NFL game and picked them up when the time came. The wings were a shadow of what they once were. They were small, very small, with one wing in the box smaller than my thumb. They were over cooked and hard to eat. Most of them went un-eaten and we had to order more food to feed everyone. After spending $70 for 30 wings and then having to spend more was very disappointing. Definitely the dirtiest place in town. Just because you fry everything doesn't mean you mop your floors in it. It's probably the filthiest place I've been into in awhile. The floors are covered in grease and it seems like they've been that way so long the cement in front of the front door is black and caked in grease. You literally slide all over the floor, the table to bump it with your arm and it slides... it's so greasy I wiped my feet off in the grass outside before getting into my car. Like seriously how have they not gotten shut down just based off of the cleanliness. To the owners- Seriously Stop using the same mop you clean the kitchen with and for the love of god buy a new mop head and bucket just to clean your front of the house and pressure wash your sidewalk it's disgusting and honestly it takes so much away from your food and the experience to your customers. I was in the mood for something different tonight, but wanted to stay in the neighborhood, and remembered seeing The Fat Shack a couple of weeks ago, so I gave it a try. The employees were very friendly and personable, and very helpful with explaining the different menu selections. The menu looked extensive, with some of the most trippy food combinations that could possibly go inside a bun or sandwich roll available! I went with the large Fat Chance, which contained cheesesteak, cream cheese filled jalapeño poppers, chicken fingers, french fries, and yellow mustard in place of the normal buffalo sauce. Everything was great, and gotta admit, a pretty fantastic combination of foods that you wouldn't normally think about - it didn't even require ordering a side dish. Tried out a burger with mac and cheese bites on a repeat visit, and it was great. I'll definitely be back to try some of the other menu items. Recommended as a good stopoff for when the mainstream fast food outlets get boring, and it looks like they have full delivery service as well. Great food, unique concept. read more

When this place was about to open up, we got a menu through the mail. Looked like something different so I was excited to try it out. The type of food is more like something you'd be craving for with the munchies or just something random. However, they do it right. It actually tastes pretty good and fairly good prices for the food, especially during lunch. My favorite Sandwich so far is the Fat Jersey, but without a doubt the burgers are the best. They taste like a great backyard bbq burger with some good fries. Some of the deep fried stuff, like the deep fried oreos are pretty killer!
