Yes the sandwich was pretty good, good quality pastrami as well. You can see the workers add additional meat drippings, and the sauce was actually top notch. All very solid components but nothing mind blowing. Maybe I'm bias and think of sandwiches as snack food with deli meats rather than whole meals. But maybe as time goes on I'll be able to appreciate the value of sandwiches more and bump it up to a solid 4/5.

For the hot subs, the meat was sooooo soft and easy to swallow. I had a bite of my friends' subs and they were all super delicious. The chicken in the captains club was so juicy. The beef in the smokehouse sub was melt in the mouth. The bread on all subs was toasted. They also have one of those nice machines w/ tons of different soda options to choose from (peach mello yellow zero SUPER UNDERRATED). Shoutout to Donte who helped me with my order as a first-timer to this store! Love that I was able to stack a bunch of extra add-ons for no additional charge. Also loved that every sub came w/ a dill pickle on the side (the pickles were delicious too). I was tempted to upgrade my bun to garlic bread but that'll be for another visit. In terms of price, it is premiumly priced at around $20-25 per sub which is expensive tbh. Does the quality justify that price tag? I would actually have to say yea it does! Even though the location at the Promenade Mall exceeds this horrible location by 100 times. I came here to this location in York Mills Rd expecting a decent sub and some decent service. That's not expecting much But On this occasion, I entered and the one Indian lady about 20 something years old immediately put me off. She took my order rather curtly and asked my name forcefully. I mean I am the only customer in there. I waited my 4-5 minutes paying no mind. Then She proceeded to just plop my sandwich on the counter and literally screamed my name and then walked to the back. I'm sorry but this order is for take out I said can I have a bag. She saids she doesn't have big bags with handles. This is not my first rodeo here and she plops a small sandwich bag on the counter with absolutely no customer service like bagging it for me and then walks off again. That's when I see a uber order with a said bag with handle sitting there I mean, I like their sandwiches but service and a remotely polite service is important too. I definitely strongly recommend to stay away from this location. And I am debating on going to any location again as this represents not only their name and location but the franchise reputation as a whole.

Solid menu variety, but the meat is the crown jewel here and the oil/red wine vinegar sauce they use makes the meat shine instead of overpowering it like other sub chain sauces. The sub feels fresh, from the bread to the cheese, and they don't skimp on the sauce. Great Heartland location close to lots of retail and other food shops. Ample parking and easy to spot. There's a good handful of tables inside for individual or pair seating, and service is pretty quick. I pre-ordered on a busy day and only needed to wait 10 to 15 minutes on a weekend evening. They do minor promos through their own loyalty program , but I find they offer better discounts on Uber/skip/etc.

2026 Birthday Series -- Stop #4: Jersey Mikes…read more I'm kicking off a series reviewing all the places I visited to redeem my birthday goodies in July 2026. Along with an overall rating, each spot gets scored on redeemability (how easy it is to claim) and actual value. Jersey Mike's Redeemability: 5/5 (requires sign-up up for the news letter) Actual value: 10/5 (A WHOLE SET OF ONE REGULAR SIZE FREE SUB (ANY) and a drink!) WOW! Aside from the fact that Jersey Mike gives out the BEST BIRTHDAY FREEBIES out of all the cafes and restaurants (with absolutely no convoluted process to redeem - the staff were extremely nice and friendly), the sub itself was freaking amazing. I got the big kahuna - the beef was freshly grilled with LOTS OF white American cheese that melts all over, and the delicious grilled vegetables on top. I swear to god, this was perhaps just as good as the Philly steak sandwich I had in Philly if not better (as a birthday present). The store was as also super clean albeit extremely popular, with freshly cut meat and cheese served in an efficient speed. Tho I got a free combo, I also saw that the sandwiches were very reasonably priced - the quality and the price were unbeatable and I'll def come back often. Love that they have different sizes for you to pick from, so we got their giant size and wow it definitely was gigantic! You can choose your toppings ranging from lettuce, onions, tomatoes, oil, vinegar and spices, and more. Since it was our first time, we got it served the Mike's Way which had everything on it. Next time I think I'll opt out of the Mike's Way, since I didn't love my sandwich doused in vinegar - it also made it pretty soggy pretty quickly. However, the sandwich taste itself was amazing and so fresh! I can't wait to go back to customize another sandwich to my liking!

There are 80+ locations across Canada, with this location being the latest to open. Their meat are steam infused with flavour. They use an air-tight steamer. The steam releases the flavour and reinfuses it back into the meat. I ordered the 6ix Sub (medium $12.49) because it is uniquely offered at this location only. It was extremely delicious! 6ix Sub has honey ham, smoked turkey, Genoa salami, provolone cheese, and cheddar cheese. They also give you a long slice of pickle on the side. I also ordered a pop (medium.$3.09). They give you a cup and you use a self-serve freestyle pop machine that has 200-300 flavours. The customer service is excellent. There is adequate indoor seating. They will bring you order to your table. My Sub took them 5 mins to prepare. You can donate money (directly or via rounding up) to the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada charity, found in 2015. If you donate $3.00, you get an empty, recycled pickle bucket. The foundation will give a grant to fire or police dept, twice a year. They donate lifesaving equipment, prevention education tools, scholarships and continued education fir public safety officers, and natural disaster support. They soft-opened on 2024-10-17. There is no predetermined date for the grand opening yet There is free WiFi. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. There are two gender-neutral washrooms, one of which is wheelchair accessible.
