We had an excellent overall experience with Mulvin's Wood Concepts. Matt and Tara were…read moreprofessional, easy to communicate with, and very open to our ideas and preferences throughout. We were told prior to making a down payment that there was a wait list. We appreciated the transparency and we were pleasantly surprised when our turn came 3 weeks prior to the initial time quoted .The craftsmanship really shows--Matt is clearly an artist when it comes to his work, and the final result reflects that level of care and detail. If you're willing to be patient for quality, we were happy with how everything turned out. Our front door is a conversation piece in our neighborhood.

Where do I begin? Let me start off by saying that the door itself, is nice. However, the stress,…read morelack of communication, negligence, and money is not worth it. I've never seen a "business" quite like this, and the fact that we waited for ONE door for 7 months is insane. Matt and his wife came to my mother's house in October to take measurements and discuss the production and installation of the door. They made it clear that it is just them making the doors so it would probably be about a 12 week period before the door would be delivered and installed. They also live 2 hours away, which is fine, but if the job was too hard for them they shouldn't have taken it. My mother agreed to the estimated amount of time and was excited for her new front door. The weeks go by and she hears nothing from them. She tries to stay optimistic and messages Matt asking how the production is going. He is snarky with her and has no customer service skills at all. He acts annoyed that she's even messaging him. Sends her no pictures of her door unless she asks for them. Wanted to install the door in January, but blamed weather for not being able to install the door. We did have a bad winter so she understood. Then says they will install it in February. He then says he was in the hospital. She understood. He then says he had a problem with his back and couldn't come to install it in March. He then also said that they were traveling with doors and they flew off the trailer and had to deal with that. As if that has anything to do with her installation of the door? He then says it will be installed in April but says he had a gallbladder attack. It was excuse after excuse after excuse. At this point, my elderly mother is defeated and has spent a lot of money for a door she doesn't have. He then says he has to make the trim before he can install it. He comes on May 2nd, to install the door. Says he will be here at 9 am. Didn't show up until 11 am. Starts to put the door in and then says "would you believe it we forgot the trim in Sandusky" which is 2 hours away!! ALSO, tells my mom the hardware isn't gonna fit in the door so he needs money to put the knob and lock and everything. She just wants them out of her house at this point so she says how much do you need? Mind you, she asked him this at the beginning if she would have to pay for any of that and he said no. His response back to her is "how much do you have?" Are you serious?? So he leaves at 330 and comes back around 8 o'clock to finish the trim and everything. Now as a business owner, why didn't you triple check you had everything before you ventured out on a 2 hour trip? None of this is my mother's fault and the fact that they didn't offer any sort of compensation is stupid. He finishes the installation of the door at 1030 pm which I'm sure our neighbors loved. He is very inconsiderate of his customers time, he is rude, and does a half a** job. There's way more to the story but it's too detailed. Not happy at all. There's scratches and a hole on the door. He takes no pride in his business or his work and that is unacceptable
