Brian from Firelands Plumbing has been a "straight arrow"! You will know that the first time you meet him. He diagnoses the problem quickly, and repairs quickly. There is no waiting on this man if you have a problem. I had another sewer clean company come in and do my mother's house (2 doors down) and mine to clean out tree roots in January due to slow running drains. They did NOT indicate there was a bigger problem. However, within two days both of our plumbing backed up in our houses. The other "cleaners" did NOT acknowledge that they could not get all the way through to the street, and there was a section of pipe that had been held up by tree roots that collapsed. My mom's drain backup happened first, and I called the company who "cleaned" the sewer pipe. They said they could not be out for a few days. I googled and found Firelands Plumbing who said they would be out right away - and they were! Brian diagnosed it right away and came late at night when my mom's plumbing backed up. He showed me on camera, which the other company did not use. He and his company were there the next day - New Years Eve Day to fix my mom's line. Mine backed up the next day into the tub when I was doing laundry. Once again, Brian was right out - he showed me that I had the same problem. Mine was fixed quickly as well. My sewer replacement was under the sidewalk, and of course needed to wait until warmer weather to replace the concrete. Quotes from concrete contractors were outrageous, and they really didn't want to do that small of a job. Brian offered to do it to help me out for several hundred dollars less than the contractors. Brian said he would do it Tuesday, and he did it Tuesday. That in itself is a gift. I came home tonight to a replaced sidewalk with a note that he would be out the next day to level the soil around the sidewalk. Wow - you just don't see that kind of commitment - which is why I was inspired to write my story. Thank you Brian - I will never call anyone else, and encourage others to do the same. read more

I have used Firelands Plumbing twice in the last 6 months. The first time was for a broken sump pump. Rob came to assess the situation and promptly had Gage followup to do the install. I was relieved to have my sump pump installed quickly during the rainy spring to avoid any damage to my basement! Thank you Rob!! The second was to install a dishwasher. I had paid the additional fee at Home Depot for their services for the removal and disposal of my old dishwasher as well as installation of the new. They contracted the service to a company out of Cleveland that sent two very nice but inexperienced young men to do the installation. They said they were unable to remove it without causing damage and refused to go further. The company said they would send another "more experienced" installer once we removed the dishwasher on our own. A friend later helped us remove the old one which pulled straight out. At this point, I would have to wait an additional two weeks, turning the debacle into a full month without a dishwasher. I decided to get reimbursed for the install and called Firelands plumbing instead. They had me scheduled within one day. I appreciate the instant Text message that I promptly receive upon hanging up the phone confirming the details of my service. I recieved the date and time with a two hour window when I should expect someone to arrive. Dane called to inform me exactly when he would arrive within the promised 2 hour window. Now that is what I call service!! These guys are great! We had a foundation problem and I called for quotes from three different companies. Brian came over and looked at the problem then I received a very detailed quote from them the next day. The price was very good compared with the other quotes but the big reason we went with them was the way they were going to fix our problem. I googled and looked at many different websites and Firelands Plumbing was the only company that was doing the work exactly how it was supposed to be done. The crew arrived on time. They protected our carpet with drop cloths. They protected our yard with rubber mats. The crew was professional and we were very pleased with the results. Once they were done they completely repaired the landscaping (better than before actually). They also did a thorough cleanup everywhere, in fact more than I had expected. I had a very small leak in the natural gas pipes in my basement. It was found using a detection instrument during a home energy audit through Columbia Gas. I called a heating/ac company. They came out, told me someone else would have to come out to give me an estimate and charged me $99 for the call. I got their estimate two days later. I called Firelands for a second opinion. Dane came out and his estimate was 50% less - and no charge for it. He was courteous, knowledgeable, and happy to answer the questions I had. We immediately scheduled the appointment and Dane completed the work as promised. Top notch. I cracked a copper pipe behind shower wall on a Sunday and had to shut off all water to the house. I called and was able to get a hold of someone on the first try - late on Sunday night. They said they could have someone out between 9 and 11am the next day. They made that time. They did a great job fixing the leak quickly so I was able to restore water supply to the house before my wife and kids got home from school on Monday. Great guys and great service! We called today because our faucet was leaking and they showed up 2 hours after the call. The tech noticed that the faucet was corroded under the sink and we needed a new one. He left for about 40 minutes, came back and installed the faucet in under 60 minutes!! WOW. Fraud alert! Total scam, they claim to unclog your drain or its free... nope, charged us and did nothing but make a big mess. Gave a story about broken sewer lines, and would require tearing out our driveway to the tune of $5500... Called Roto rooter, they snaked it clear in 20 minutes... We called for a dying hot water heater which they replaced with a top of the line rheem. They also found an unknown issue with the shut off valve, replaced it, And also identified two catastrophes waiting to happen. Repaired all issues for a reasonable price. Now my plumbing will out live me and is up to code from water meter to tap. read more

I had a plumbing issue called Firelands Plumbing they came next day. Dane the plumber was so nice he changed out the bathroom faucet and drain. Then went to work on the kitchen drain and plumbing under the sink. He left my house in better shape then he found it. I would call this company for all my future plumbing needs. read more
