About a week ago we noticed our old Heat Pump system was not putting out cool air. We have had Norwalk Heating doing our work for years and have always been satisfied. On this occasion they new we had no windows in our shop and sent out a service rep the following day. After a fairly quick assessment he realized that the system had a leak somewhere. He told us that he could recharge the system and put dye in the system but the Freon was about $100 a pound and our system would need about 5 pounds and that would only tell us where the leak was. Then (if it was repairable) it would cost us another 5 pounds of Freon to recharge again. He let us make the decision but advised us that our system was 18 years old and at this age could be seeing more and more leaks. He made an easy decision for us. It was time to replace. So he took the measurements and got the information back to their estimator. Now keep in mind this was on Friday. Early monday morning I got a call from the Estimator and he gave me my options on a new system. He said we are backed up 3 weeks but we know you're in a bad situation and we have a one day opening on Wednesday. I told him lets move on this. Needless to say it is Thursday as I am writing this review and the system is all installed exactly how I wanted it. They move the unit a little further away from my sidewalk to give me room to put snow. Everything looks great and outside of a new unit you would have never known they were even here other than we are enjoying a much cooler atmosphere. The installers were great and very informative. You could tell they enjoyed their job and were very dedicated. I can't tell you how important that is to me. Once again another great job done by these people. Over the years we have had others but never so efficient and great people to work with. My opinion, for what it is worth, is these people care about their customers and take excellent care of them. I interviewed the owner last summer and asked him a very pointed question: due to the nature of my business, will you promise to get out and fix things immediately If needed? He said he would, but I didn't get a chance to test out his promise until today. We have used him several times already for non-emergencies, but this was the first time it was an urgent problem. He delivered, big time! In less than 24 hours, our problem was solved and our crisis was averted.
