The old brass frame was just too much though the gas fireplace with its airtight and circulating fan can put out some heat. So we didn't want to replace it. Just put a solid looking wrought iron door over it. Also keep the very old Arizona Cyprus mantel. It actually has some old 44 caliber bullet scares from when used as a target in the late 1800s to early 1900s. May Dad found the long dead tree in the high plains area of Yavapai County in the later1980s. Danny worked with my better half and came up with a great door designed to fit. It did take a couple of months to build deliver and install. But it's beautiful and now that our stone & tile guy is done it transitioned this old dated fireplace into a world of beauty. The quality of the door is outstanding and Danny's friendliness and professionalism are very appreciated. The creativity in design fits perfect with the travertine stone stack and very old solid Arizona Cyprus mantel. I highly recommend them. Great quality for value.

His pricing, expertise, and professionalism was unbeatable. Product was not received and we went on line again and found the on-line system updated the delivery date to be 12/31/2025. Again product was not received. We reached out and left several voicemail messages because this company does not have an actual real live person answering customer's phone inquiries. Thankfully, Travis eventually returned our phone call and said that Starfire was unaware that their vendor was shut down for 2 weeks during the holiday season and that our order would ship and arrive first week of January. This did not happen. We were then advised via online system that the order would arrive Saturday, January 10, 2026. Product did not arrive until the following week AND they shipped the WRONG product. We left messages again and Travis reached out and said he would contact the manufacturer. I requested that our order be escalated to management and for a manager/owner to contact us and I wanted the manufacturer or Starfire Direct to ship the correct product FEDX P1 at their expense for the poor communication and numerous delays with our order. This didn't happen. Online system now says product arriving Thursday, January 22, 2026. Very disappointing.

The ring worked just fine and did not rust through like some companies have mentioned online but when I decided to upgrade from our original lava rocks to fire glass it was time to go with a stainless fire ring. I had my eyes on Starfire direct for a few years now until I decided it was time to upgrade the fire pit. I emailed Starfire direct with some questions and in less than 24 hours Mari M responded and answered all my questions. Mari was very professional and knows her products, she had excellent communication as I had a few other questions. I ended up purchasing the fire ring and I could not be happier. It looks very well made and the flames it produces are just what I was hoping for. I also believe the flames are a little better as the holes are staggered where my original was just on the top in a straight line. When I called, they did find my order and confirmed it was in, but I had to follow up a few times due to how busy they were. That said, AMS Fireplace absolutely came through-- they installed my fireplace logs on Christmas Eve, which I really appreciated. Saul was outstanding: extremely careful bringing everything in, respectful of my home, and he arranged the logs perfectly. His attention to detail and professionalism were excellent. Would recommend, just expect that you may need to be proactive with communication during peak season.

To make matters worse, they kept over $1,000 of my money and ignored more than five emails requesting a refund.
