When I called the company back to have them take another look, the owner was very rude, asked me to send my address in a text to get on the schedule. I did, but got no response, when I called again he said they do not work weekends (even though the initial service was on a Sunday). When I inquired about a refund for a failed repair, he hung up on me. To make matters worse, when I talked to their office on Monday, they claimed that someone was using their phone number and scammed me so they are not responsible for sending a refund. Unbelievable. Danny Vice of Fireplace creations or Fireplace Door Guy came up with an oustanding solution to our dated 1991 airtight tempered glass door fireplace. The old brass frame was just too much though the gas fireplace with its airtight and circulating fan can put out some heat. So we didn't want to replace it. Just put a solid looking wrought iron door over it. Also keep the very old Arizona Cyprus mantel. It actually has some old 44 caliber bullet scares from when used as a target in the late 1800s to early 1900s. May Dad found the long dead tree in the high plains area of Yavapai County in the later1980s. Danny worked with my better half and came up with a great door designed to fit. It did take a couple of months to build deliver and install. But it's beautiful and now that our stone & tile guy is done it transitioned this old dated fireplace into a world of beauty. The quality of the door is outstanding and Danny's friendliness and professionalism are very appreciated. The creativity in design fits perfect with the travertine stone stack and very old solid Arizona Cyprus mantel. I highly recommend them. Great quality for value. read more

Then we also have Danny the owner, that according to the only nice lady that answers the phone he's never available. After weeks of going back and forth with Tom, I agreed on the over $2500 dollars door and regular log set. So, we set up a date and time for Tony to come to my home. As I was sitting in my back patio, a stranger (Tony) walks inside my home and makes it to the backyard. No Ringing the door bell, knocking on the door, just walked in. I overlooked his not so smart action. Tony, promised me that in 2-3 days he would have a sketch for me. I waited a week and nothing. I called, texted, left messages and got absolutely no responses. I sent a group text to Tom and Tony, and unbeknownst to Tom he was replying to Tony and obviously I could see it. As you could see, they only have approximately 70 reviews, if you read them you will see that this company lacks communication, and honesty. It appears that the only good reviews were the ones that the owner Danny handled. Why would you support a company thats selective on their customers? Tony came out 4 weeks ago to measure for 2 doors, we were told they would be ready in 2-3 weeks. They scheduled an appointment yesterday for this morning at 8:00 am to install the doors. At 8:10 they called and said that the doors were made incorrectly and that they were cancelling the order. I recently ordered a custom fireplace door for an outdoor fireplace from the Fireplace Door Guy. It was a new design and a bit more complicated than a regular screen. But I wanted it to match the existing tile work and it does! Tony came out to measure and the fireplace is not square nor is the base on the stone level. We jointly agreed to inset the frame and Tony mastered filling the gap with a perfectly matching grout. We have high winds on occasion, so the team added interior removable metal panels that will allow us to keep any embers from getting past the screen. They did this for free and as a surprise for us! We had a small issue with a part of the welding. Tony took the doors back and they corrected the issue. Communication is excellent, pricing a little high, but worth it. You want quality customer satisfaction find someone else. In short, I was quoted a price via a text and accepted. I let them know I was on a deadline and they said no problem but I would be a extra $1,000. To add insult to injury they said the owner had to come see the work first and then he said it was a 3-4 day job and raised the price another $1,000. They knew I had no options at this point. So I accepted their estimate. When the worker finished in 1.5 days and then demanded a check I called foul. I got calls, while the worker was cleaning up from three separate people demanding a check. I explained I needed an invoice and I would pay. They said they don't provide invoices and to just use the estimate. I finally relented and said I would issue a check via my bank about pay. This also, was not good enough so I said fine, I'll give you a credit card. Then they had the audacity to demand an additional 3% for using a credit card! Of course I said no and the owner, who stopped calling me, and through his workers relented and accepted my card. Of course when I gave them my Amex card they asked for another because Amex charges 1% more than others. Remember, this is after gauging me for an extra $2000. !!! In the end, the fireplace rebuild is not centered on the wall and out of plumb. I would give 0 stars if I could. I will have the settle with this review and a complaint to BBB read more
