Hired Justo to come to Big Bear Lake and Big Bear City to inspect/clean 3 chimneys. He was very responsive, on time for every chimney and was efficient with his work. He explained everything from top to bottom, took pictures of the chimney on the roof and informed us best ways on how to use the fireplace with gas and non gas. With all of his work comes an email that contains all pictures of before and after images of the fireplace, pictures of the chimney on top of the roof and the duct, plus a formal report. His pricing is more reasonable than other chimney sweeping companies we were looking at. We will have him come again next year after the winter season. I'm sure they also do a great job with chimney sweep and fireplace cleaning services, but it turned out that I didn't need any of those services. (I had never used the fireplace, and I just needed to get some maintenance issues resolved before listing my home for sale.) Justo made an initial inspection--not a free estimate, but they provided a useful formatted inspection report, including multiple photos at various angles. While the fireplace and chimney were very clean, as they indicated clearly with a photo down the chimney, various repairs and preventive services (the need for which I was already mostly aware) were needed to the chimney, especially sealing the chimney crown, sealing the joints between the chimney and the walls and roof, and dealing with some small cracks in the brickwork. I scheduled these repair services for the next available date, and Justo came back to perform the work. Everything was completed in one day, including installing a rain cap and an improved spark arrestor. Justo also vacuumed out the spider webs from the fireplace at no additional cost. Great communication, fair price for the work performed, and Justo seemed like a genuinely good and honest guy. After looking at reviews, I specifically decided to reach out to Justo and of course Yelp asked if I wanted other estimates as well so I said sure why not.
