If you are looking for a wonderful place to sip and chill, here it is. Hubby and I were celebrating our 10 yr anniversary and treated ourselves to a night at the Lodge. After check in we sat down on the patio at the Lounge and ordered a drink. They had great live music, the service was top notch and we were allowed to bring our four-legged best friend, Tucker. The staff and all the guests made a great fuss over him. He got bowls of ice water, a couple of treats...even some leftover French Fries from the kids at the adjacent table. We left to go find some dinner, but we had such a nice time here that we came back and had the Short Ribs with gnocchi and a side of truffle Parm fries. The only negative I can say is that the short ribs portion was smaller than I would have expected, and there was virtually NO parm on the fries. But overall exceptional. I'd love to go back...and so would Tucker! read more

I went here on my solo staycation at Willows Lodge, intending to do crossword puzzles alone and drink wine. There are plentiful tables here, so I didn't feel out of place sitting with my puzzle book. I had nice rose from the wine list. The fries were good, though not as good as the fries from Barking Frog. The charcuterie plate was just ok. The service was great, the waitress made sure I had everything I needed, and I didn't feel rushed. I would totally come back here if in the area, it's a great spot to come alone or to socialize. read more

Fireside lounge is a favorite amongst us locals. We come here and feel like we're somewhere completely far away. The staff is always friendly, the vibe is always chill, and the food is fantastic. My favorite is the prawns - they are phenomenally tasty. We like to come here for a drink and snack before date night, concerts or events. We find it pretty easy to get seating (in the summer you'll want to be on the patio!) and have never had a bad experience. Love this sport, highly recommend. read more

Ordered the specialty drinks, the poke nachos on HH, mac and cheese (not shown in photo) and the truffle fries. All of the food items were really good. Came out hot and fresh. Would reorder again. This is one of my fave spots to bring friends for happy hour! They have SO many great wines on the menu, plus some fun cocktails. I also got a small glass of limoncello on my last visit. The lounge is lovely and has a huge roaring fireplace as its centerpiece. In warmer weather, the outdoor patio opens up and becomes the perfect place to hang out before a concert across the street. The food is lovely too! They have lots of healthy options, with clear labels for gluten free and some vegetarian options as well. I love the shrimp lettuce cups as well as some of their dips. They are dog friendly too, inside and out! I love bringing my pup, getting a glass, and exploring the grounds a bit. It is so lovely there, and always fun to check out the pigs and other animals. Fireside Lounge is one of our favorite date night spots and on this day we brought our friends visiting for the weekend. The service is always impressive, starting with the valet staff outside. We got inside a few minutes after 6pm and even though it was already packed (as it should be when Caety is performing !!!) we were greeted and seated immediately. I ordered the risotto with shrimp & my husband ordered the double smash burger with sweet potato fries, while our friends ordered the peppered beef & roasted garlic pasta with a side caesar salad (not pictured). I was the first to arrive for our party of 4, put my name in on a busy Friday evening at 6pm. The wait list was quoted at 15-20 minutes by the busy but friendly hostess. A table was ready within the quoted timeframe, all the while a steady stream of waitlisters flowed in many of whom were checking into the hotel. The live music duo was playing over the chatter of the full space. The outdoor seating patio was not available (I wouldn't want to be out there in the cold) and does not appear to be set up for cold weather months. We were seated in a dark corner next to the bar, when moments later the fireplace seating area became open. I asked the hostess if we could move, and she made it so. She busily helped clear the space and the server prioritized cashing out the remaining party. I was promptly greeted by a smiling upbeat server, Sonny. He was very helpful in recommending beverages and even brought tastes of a few wines. We mixed and matched apps, which were delightful. The lumpia was not as expected, wrapped in fried loose noodles yet still interesting flavor. Mostly Asian inspired items with a twist, not traditional dishes, but intriguing. The evening was wonderful and upleveled to amazing by the top notch hostess and server, Sonny! I'd go back purely to see these fine humans! read more

This time we didn't have anything to eat but their double smash burgers are good as well as the crispy chicken sandwich. The crab cakes are a much have. This we opted for beer and wine but also had their fresh cut potato chips that are crisped to perfection. The Sea Salt Popcorn with chopped green onion, chive, and toasted black pepper is a must to go with your refreshments! Last week we had a great dinner at The Barking Frog, and thought we would try the Fireside lounge also at the Willows Lodge. The lounge was a little small, but the menu looked great and the advertise music almost every night. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. We had drinks and appetizers along with dinner. The problem came when I reordered my drink. Angel's Envy with one large ice cube. I am a bourbon consumer, I admit I am kind of picky with my selection. In short, I Know What My Drink Should Look, Smell, and Taste Like. The second drink that was delivered was lighter in color, and smelled of an odd chemical smell. I brought it to the attention of our server, who apologized and left with the glass, and went to the bar. Later, the Hostess, Miranda, returned with the same glass and asked what I had ordered. I explained what I ordered and why I felt it was different. She said the bartender confirmed what he had poured was Angel's Envy, and she left with the glass. Kingsley, our server returned , again with The Same Glass and Drink. He apologized and again said the bartender insisted it was what I had ordered. I did not finish the drink and we left before the music started. Customer Service graded down at this point. Any other establishment ( even a lounge/bar of lesser quality) would have simply remade the drink, or offered another option. Sorry, but I expected better. read more

To me food and wine here were decent enough. I wish they were more like a lounge (as it's named) though with more comfortable and relaxed seating e.g. couches, than wooden tables and chairs. * Excellent burger with a side project * This little wine bar situated in a small hotel is a great little spot. Sitting down in the wide comfortable soft leather loungers with a nice view through the windows this is a great place to relax for a bit. They were featuring the live music of Side Project, a Seattle/Spokane based contemporary group, which made it a nice place to relax with a flight of wine overlooking the firepit in the garden and enjoying a light meal. The lamb burger was one of the best burgers I've had in the Northwest. There, I said it. I like my burgers thick, juicy, and towards the rare side. And they delivered exactly that. The burger was served on a toasted brioche bun, which was airy and provided the perfect platform for this masterpiece of a burger. The lamb was thick, packed correctly, well seasoned, cooked to the perfect doneness requested, and nicely rested. A large slice of gruyere was melted on top, and then it was topped with wine sauteed onions, arugula, and some garlic aioli for good measure. Delicious. 5 star burger. We came here after a long day of traveling craving some good, hearty food. Fireside is located off the main lobby of the Willows Lodge. The ambiance is great-- they have live local musicians playing nightly (at least on the weekends). We picked a table in the back room away from the crowded performance area. Service was somewhat of a miss the entire meal-- our waitress was friendly at first but failed to check in. We ordered two of their signature burgers (cooked medium). Unfortunately, it took 30+ mins to receive our burgers. When they did arrive, they were overcooked and dry. They were still relatively tasty-- especially with all of the toppings. However, the fries were completely tasteless! They were really dark and looked tasty-- but they were dry, tasteless, and oily! The ambiance saved our experience-- but I was disappointed in the food quality and experience, especially compared to the five star service received at the Willows Lodge. read more

But here we are and the fireside lounge is as wonderful as it could be. Went back for our anniversary and indulged in the same wonderful grand marnier prawns we had served at our wedding. The happy hour menu is small. Only has a few drinks on them. And redhook is $5. The food was ok, nothing amazing. Got the garlic fries and better word would be fries with a touch of garlic. We visited last night looking for a romantic date night, and having got all ready to go out, checked on the website that they were open late. The website listed them open until 11pm. We drove 15-20 minutes to get there, walked in and there was a sign saying a private event was taking place, no entry. Seriously? Could they not list days of closure on their website where everyone is going to check before turning up? A real shame, so we ended up visiting a different restaurant in Woodinville last night. I absolutely love this place!!! Especially Tuesday's thru Sunday when they have live music! In the summer they have outdoor seating and the atmosphere and ambiance is spectacular! The the gardens and the serene feeling make it for a fun, relaxing evening! Wednesday and Thursday's have the best of the music in my opinion! I like both the indoor and outdoor fire places! The servers are super friendly and also give complimentary blankets when it gets chilly outside while listening to music! I love the Moscow mules there! The food is great too! We were invited to join friends for happy hour to enjoy music on a Friday night. A neighboring concert triggered a mandatory $10 valet- no biggie. Seating was easy for our group. Drinks were yummy as well as the appetizers. We enjoyed the music and the whiskey tasting. What we didn't appreciate was our server clearing my unfinished beer (the majority of our table remained seated) and later my wife's unfinished cocktail. When we mentioned this to the server she was rude and argued they were empty. The same server claimed they had no celery to accompany the hummus plate (in a rude tone) only to be proven wrong when another server brought out a plate of celery with a second hummus appetizer. It's unfortunate our server left such a negative impact on a beautiful atmosphere with so much potential. Did I mention any of this to the manager? Nope. She avoided eye contact as I hung off the back of my chair to get her attention. It's been a long time since I haven't left a tip, unfortunately. Tonight was a $75 tab for 2 beers, 2 cocktails, 2 appetizers, valet and lousy service. Too bad, we won't be back. read more

We waited 1 hour for the food to come out. No utensils, no plates. The waiter stopped by very slow to our table. When the time to pay, again..we have to wait for a while for the waiter to return our credit cards. Today, my friend found out Fireside Cellars has charged her credit card multiple times and it's a wrong amount. When she called, the person asked her to contact accounting. Seriously?? As other reviews mention...this is basically a hotel lobby bar. But...it's at the Willows Lodge and it is the best hotel bar I've ever been to. Great happy hour specials and a great wine list. Enjoy summers with beautiful music outside on the patio while sipping your wine. Great sandwiches, great appetizers, and great wine...plus it brings out some of the best people in Woodinville each night. This weary traveler went away a little unsatisfied as lunch in January had no warm gluten free options, the charcuterie plate was really delicious and came with gluten free crackers but I couldn't help eyeing my spouses grilled cheese and soup. Gluten free bread is often sold frozen and so easy to store that way it surprises me in American restaurants how few cater to the growing number of those that cannot have gluten. My wife had the Wagyu Beef sliders for $16 and we wondered why they would bother wasting such good beef if they're just going to cook the hell out of it? However, the bacon on the slider was quite good. Yeah, both sandwiches were served on a brioche bun, but who cares when the inside is disappointing? I've never had a problem with parking. There's even valet parking if you don't want to deal with the elements. Here for happy hour. This bar is located in the lobby of the Willows Lodge hotel which is in the same complex as The Herb Farm and The Barking Frog. Seating at the small bar, along the tables by the windows facing their garden or grab one of the couches by their double sided fireplace. Or just relax in their comfortable lobby. Entertainment is enjoyable, unobtrusive and easy to still have a conversation. Service is prompt and friendly. Their happy hour menu is limited: 5 food items. I thought the basic burger would be on every happy hour menu -but not here. The most substantial item are their prawns. Their burger from their regular menu is $18. Small hand cut fries: $6: choice of Garlic, truffle and Parmesan cheese , sweet potato and regular. We ordered the truffle and Parmesan cheese. The fries were not skinless and some may have issue with this. I don't. I loved the dipping sauce, but then what's there not to like about truffle flavor. From their regular menu: Brussel sprouts and cauliflower: $12: served with Bacon lardons, black currant, white cheddar mornay. Delicious! I had reservations about the black currant, but it really seemed to bring all the flavors together! Grand mariner prawns: $12: ($22 on their regular menu - I would think the portion size is bigger): 4 prawns, mixed greens, lemongrass vinaigrette, mandarin oranges. This is delicious and surprisingly refreshing salad. I would highly recommend this. Moscow mule: refreshing and definitely calls for a second round! I really love Fireside at Willows Lodge (I think it's a hidden gem) they have a great happy hour and it's nice to enjoy a bowl of mussels and glass of wine in the winter inside by the fire or a cheese plate and glass of wine in the summer outside by the fire. If it's chilly outside they will bring you a blanket - top notch service! They have a nice HH food selection as well as HH wine by the glass. My wife and I enjoyed a nice evening at Fireside last night. Unlike another reviewer who complained about the burger "flight" during happy hour, I thought the burgers were excellent, and reasonably priced, given that it is the Willows Lodge (and especially in comparison to the Barking Frog and Herb Farm, the other dining options on the property). We arrived later in the evening - post happier hour - but I had the Kobe Mini Burgers, with candied bacon, Oregon blue cheese, aioli and French fries (I substituted sweet potato fries), cooked to perfection (medium rare); my wife had the Lamb Burger (not sure what was on it, but it was pretty good too, despite the fact that she insists on having her meat [over]cooked to medium). I ordered a flight of 4 wines, in 3-ounce pours, for $23: the 2005 Brian Carter Tuttorusso, a super-Tuscan blend, the 2006 Januick Red Wine (Bordeaux-style blend), the 2006 DeLille D2 (another Bordeaux-style blend) and a third local Bordeaux blend I can't remember. The D2 was the standout; the Tuttorosso tasted like it had been open a few days too long. My wife, who prefers one full glass rather than several smaller glasses of wine, was uncertain about what to get. I suggested the 2006 Stevens Black Tongue Syrah, the waitress suggested the 2006 Barrister Cabernet Franc, and brought over tastes of both (about 2 ounces each). Amy went with the Cab Franc. TJ Sherrill provided outstanding musical accompaniment for the evening, with a great selection of acoustic guitar songs from other singer/songwriters as well as several originals. read more
