My son and I had a wonderful experience this morning at Firestone's Airport Rd location. We needed state inspection and emission for his car to make it current so he could take his driver's exam. We didn't have appointment. The team at Firestone had us in and out within the hour. We even went back to show them my son's driver's license, after he passed. That Firestone team at Airport Rd were professional, friendly and genuine. For our future auto care needs, we now know Firestone has got our back. I went to Firestone on airport road today the service was awesome and the gentleman was so good

total rip offs. charge a lot of extra money for BS when you buy all new tires. They take advantage of customers and especially women.

2021 engine light came on took the car to Firestone Auto Care on airport Road in Allentown Pennsylvania. The mechanic told me it was a thermostat housing and replaced it. One year and 2 months later in 2022 engine light came on went back to Firestone they said they fixed the problem. (Not realizing that they put in another thermostat housing and chargedme again) 2024 engine light came on 10° outside went to the closest garage Mavis spent $1,400. $600.00 of which was a replacement of the thermostat housing.. This part should last 10 years or 100,000 miles. I sent emails to the corporate office, I called corporate I spoke to customer service I was told the regional manager would call me within two days never did. Then Jay called from the store and told me that it must have been an underlyong problem and that it was written on the sheet I should go see a dealer I told them they need to fix the problem. they pulled the car in and found air bubbles that needed to be released they said that happens in a new thermostat housing. The mechanic neglected to write this on the invoice. When the mechanic at Mavis said your thermostat housing needs to be replaced but it looks fairly new did you just have it put in so we looked at my receipts. I keep every invoice from any work done on my car in the glove compartment. Isaac at Mavis showed me that I was charged twice within a year for the same part. Jay said he was the manager that he would help me and send an email to the regional manager. He said he agreed to pay for the second thermostat housing but would not reimburse me for the third one that had to be replaced. Back and forth with him for a couple of weeks he spoke to the store manager Isaac at Midas and he told Jay that it was a faulty part. And when I called Jay back all of a sudden he didn't want to talk to me and he said it was in corporate's hand. A month later a man named Scott called he said he was the regional manager and he wanted to know what was going on. And I told him that hadn't he spoken to Jay the manager at Firestone. He said Jay was not the manager. So I told him I was being deceived there too!!! I was expecting a call a month ago from him and that he should have all the invoices and paperwork by now he should be aware of the complaint but he said he didn't. (What business does practice like this? Do they think I'm stupid?) I asked him why he took so long to call me back and he said he was sick and he was having domestic problems and I told him I don't care that's not my problem I'm sick too and I have problems as well but my customers don't know that it's not their problem it's not my problem listening to yours. He told me that he wanted to take care of me he could tell that I was frustrated and mad and I told him I don't need him to take care of me I want him to take care of the problem that I'm not frustrated that I'm not mad it's the principle of the point they put in 2 bad thermostat housings and I want to be reimbursed. We went back and forth I swore at him. He got offended. I told him to grow up. I finally realized I was not going to get anywhere with him I wasn't born yesterday just because I'm an older woman I knew that I was being scammed. I told him that I contacted the attorney general and I wanted reimbursed the $480 from the second time it was put in and I wanted $600 that I had to pay to have Midas put a new one in. He said he would only pay me the $480 if I agreed that they did not owe me any more money and I said absolutely not. I will not agree to that I'll see you in court before I do. I cannot believe that a large company is so unprofessional until I looked it up on the BBB WEBSITE AND SAW FIRESTONE HAS 2,130 COMPLAINTS FILED THAT WERE NEVER RESOLVED!!!. THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL CIVIL CASES. just the fact that he thought I was dumb enough to take his deal shows me just how dumb he is!!!! I will take them to court I already called the Federal trade commission they handle consumer issues and they provide protection at the federal level. There are many agencies in the state of Pennsylvania that provide protection for the consumer against unlawful practices. I'm WARNING anyone thinking about going to Firestone to look at the Better Business Bureau website to see all the problems. And just an FYI Firestone told the better Business bureau that they will no longer reply to complaints. There's one case I looked up it was from September 17th 2024 the guy spent $1,400 on his car took it back twice and was told to take it to the dealer just like I was told to take mine to the dealer when he took his to the dealer the mechanic found that Firestone had zip tied the part to the undercarriage causing the problems. I will fight tooth and nail I work hard for my money I won't back down no matter how long it takes!! read more

Car was inspected and failed due to "bad shocks." They wanted $600 to replace. I pulled my car immediately and said no thanks as I had inspected the shocks before hand and they were not leaking! After contacting the a representative from the state we gave this Firestone a call. We went over the specs for the shocks. They said to bring it back in. I brought the car back in and they said "did you clean these shocks up?" NO I didn't touch them; they passed the car immediately. Then, they tried to recharge me for inspection. I said NO thanks. DO NOT GET YOUR CAR INSPECTED BY THESE SCAMMERS. They conduct illegal activity and should be shut down! read more

My VW was in great condition before bringing it to this location on Airport Rd. I will NEVER be going back again. I basically paid $1,500 for those mechanics to completely F my car up. I brought in a volkswagen eos that is only about 10 years old with a little over 100m. It needed only a wheel alignment, and for my brakes to be checked because every now and then ( not often ) the right front break would sqeak. They ran the pre-service check up and confirmed with me that ALL I NEEDED was a wheel alignment and new brake calibers... okay. So I paid afterward for the wheel alignment and front calibers along with fluids and all these others things that go along with changing break calibers. I only didn't allow them to service the back calibers because I didn't want to unnecessarily pay $2,500 to service my car that still felt and rode really well. And I'd usually go to my family's mechanic anyway so I chose to save that last service for him, since I couldn't go to him for the wheel alignment because he doesn't do that. So anyway I came to Firestone this time. I told them for now, to simply service the reasons the car was brought into the shop in the first place ( wheel alignment and front break squeak ). I ended up paying over $1,400 after them " doing me a big favor " and taking $500 off... okay Before this, Ive never experienced problems or concerns with my vehicle besides a flat tire. No odd noises, shakiness or anything. NOW ?! Once i got it back, the ride was so shakey, loud, and rough. My very young Volkswagen Eos now feels like riding a 1990 Honda or something. There are also so many different grinding and whistling sounds are going on in the car that I am hearing throughout my ride and even after I turn my car off! Another new problem is the fact that all of the numbers on my dash are completely out of wack, gas mileage temp all read nonsense. I took it back to the shop later in the week and told Jay about all these NEW problems and he said that anything like that wouldn't have been affected by how they serviced the car... wow, okay... So he checked the car out again and said my one wheel is missing a sticky pad and that my wheels are supposedly bent. ( which they didn't mention at all upon the first check up or after first service. ) ( side bar, I literally got new tires for the winter the week before the service at Firestone and the other shop also didn't mention this. ) So he " did me a favor " and switched my wheels around so i didn't feel the shakiness anymore. There was "nothing else that could be done about my problems without payment" Truthfully the car service SUCKED at this place. Maybe It is just this location I don't know, but really seems like because I walked in as a young women with decent money they felt like they could make some extra bucks off of me by having me come back with more problems. I know many people who work in the field of cars and so I know this is very plausible. And Vw car parts are expensive so even more of a reason to keep this car coming back huh. My first service with Firestone happened about two weeks ago & i brought it back a few days ago for that second check up with the manager Jay and I finally realized that these employees are covering each others asses all trying to make a few extra bucks. After I paid them they created too many problems with my car, that I now have to fix. Such a shady system they have going on. I highly DON'T RECOMMEND! read more

I am usually quite hesitant to use a chain type auto service, but I was pleasantly surprised at the fair price and the fast service I received from this Firestone. I needed the alternator replaced on my Lexus. They were extremely helpful and they charged me exactly the price they quoted me on the phone for the work. That alone was a first ever for me. They were very friendly and courteous as well. I will be using them in the future for sure. read more

Went to get my inspection done today and suddenly the Crack of the far far passenger side of the windshield isn't ok and needs to be replaced. I say, "it's passed inspection the last two years!" They say, "Well you lucked out, they shouldn't have passed it." Oh really, that's funny, because THEY WERE THE ONES WHO INSPECTED IT FOR THE LAST TWO YEARS. I came in the store for an oil change and inspection b4 i got in the store. Did the oil and passed the inspection but as soon as I left the store my breaks started leaking really bad. (*note my brakes were fine almsot perfect b4 the inspection *)Then they passed my inspection then told me i need to fix my brakes asap and its unsafe to drive.(then why would you pass my inspection That's weird) my brakes were almost perfect b4 i got a oil change. Went in for an oil change, and waited around for a while in the waiting room because there was only 1 guy in the check in area. Got checked in and gave them my keys. Wait was long even with an appointment. Another person paraded a bunch of papers about what the technician found was "questionable" on the vehicle and needed work. Got upsold on something unnecessary from the "manufacturer's recommendations". Cost me an arm and a leg for service I didn't ultimately need. So I'm guessing this will be deleted too, but people need to know what happened. I've been coming to this location for over 15 years, and I guess I won't be any more. I've worked with Mike and he's been excellent, I've worked with Jay and he's been excellent, and both of them have gotten promotions that they truly deserve. As a result there's a guy named Andrew that is the manager at this location now. I've trusted the staff there, so I didn't think anything of it. I called this past Monday and spoke to Andrew telling him that I was getting a new windshield today and asked what I needed to do as far as my inspection stickers. He told me that I needed to bring the old inspection stickers on the old windshield, my insurance and registration card, that it wouldn't take as long as an inspection, etc. and we went ahead and scheduled the appointment. I got there this morning and when it was done the girl told me that it would be $15. I said to her that no one told me there would be a charge and when I scheduled the appointment with Andrew he didn't say that. She asked if I wanted to talk to Andrew and I said yes. Andrew came out and asked me "how can I help you?" I said to him that "when I called to make this appointment you didn't tell me there would be a charge." Andrew's response was "By law I have to charge for the stickers." So I said "Ok, but good customer service would have been you telling me that as I asked you what I needed to do to get new stickers." His response was "Why wouldn't there be a charge?" I said "Why would I think there would be a charge because my inspection stickers are still good, I got the inspection here, if I didn't need a new windshield, I wouldn't need new stickers and you didn't say there was a charge." To which Andrew said "Did you ask?" I'm still trying to stay calm at this point and explain that it's not about the $15 and I've been coming here for years and good customer service would be to tell the customer there is a fee. And again Andrew says "why wouldn't there be a charge?" I said to him "this isn't my area of speciality why would I think there is going to be a charge? I work in a psychiatric hospital, if I asked you about psych meds would you know?" To which Andrew again said "Did you ask?" And I said "I called you on Monday and asked you what I needed to do. Moving forward for other customers simply let them know." And again he's saying "why wouldn't there be" and "Did you ask?" So I'm clearly getting very frustrated, I said "I'm done talking to you" and say to the girl "Please ask Mike to call me" and asked to finish paying. Andrew keeps running his mouth, saying the same stuff, and at this point I'm yelling and cursing telling him that I'm done talking to him, what doesn't he understand about good customer service and he proceeds to say "You say you work at a psych hospital are you sure you're not a patient there?" I'm fuming, I pick up the hand sanitizer bottle and slam it up and down on the counter as I'm yelling "what don't you understand that good customer service would be to tell the customer there is a cost" and I ask the girl again to please have Mike call me. Andrew is still saying the same two questions so I turn to the two people in the waiting room and ask them if I'm right for what I'm suggesting and the one woman is laughing nodding her head yes in total agreement. The girl gives me my receipt and Andrew then tells me to "get out of my store" and I said "I am" and he's says "No you're not, you're folding the paper" and I said "I will when I'm done" and he says "Did you say that?" Then the girl gives me my keys and Andrew tells me again "get out of my store" and I said "I am" and I proceeded to put the key back on my key ring and Andrew is still running his mouth "no you're not. You're putting your key back. Did you say that?" I finished what I needed to do with my keys and left. To all of you who have read this, good luck if you go there. To Mike, as the Area Manager, I hope you can send Andrew for some customer service training. I could maybe understand his behavior if I came at him wrong, but I started out calm and cool for a very long time. His inability to understand and accept that he should've told me as I clearly asked what I needed to do to get new stickers blows my mind! I will drive to Lansdale and work with Jay before I give business to this location with Andrew. read more

This place declined an oil change because it was 6+ hours before closing the day before a Holiday, while conceding they could do it well before closing. This no sense would be forgivable as a miscommunication or lapse in judgement, were it not so obviously evasive and rude. I would never return to this place - it has potential for worse experiences. One star because the individual (redhead) male at the counter,. Tried to be sarcastic and mouthy with a woman! 1st time, went there for a tire valve issue,. But because firestone doesn't carry tools and makes all their mechanics purchase their own tools,. It's my problem. They didn't have a T6 tool,. Which is basically one of the smallest to take off a tire sensor,. I told him to give me a few min and I'll purchase the tool,. From Lowe's and I'll be right back so their mechanic can fix my issue. All said and done,. That's what I did! I asked them to look at he front tire to make sure it didn't have a leak,. He said no,. It just needed air. 2nd time same week I went to Firestone,. The same front tire,. Was horribly low with air,. Went there and they told me,. It was the valve,. And they needed the tool,. Which I brought just in case it was needed again,. And yes they fixed the valve using my tool., but broke the sensor so they replaced it at no charge,. Great. Issue should be fix,. But was told prior to leaving,. You have a lug but that is spinning,. Hmmm.. didn't do that before?! So manager tells me to go and come back another day and he will look at it. Because I am a good woman, mother, grandmother and friend,. I let them keep the t6 tool in case they needed it for another person. Mind you it comes with other T tools. 3rd time same week!!!,. Not because of the lug nut, But because of the same tire issue. I'm back because the air will not stay in my tire. They tell me, oh we found a small pin hole in your tire,. Really???? The same hole that was there because you told me there was a valve issue? But now I'm $32 in the hole and numerous hours spent at your business and this is my problem? I'm sorry that you pissed my boyfriend off and he had to call your district manager and then when I go to express my concern and get loud because you want to be sarcastic and not let me vent my frustration and tell me your guys don't have the tools then customer need to buy but you waited for me to come back to fix my issue. I'm wrong? I'm sorry to inconvenience your business,. But at the end of the day,. 1.Technicians inspected a Florida vehicle with tinted Windshield knowing it's illegal but did it anyway. 2.Management is a joke selling you anything if you need it or not and getting a attitude yelling and screaming in the store. Guess they hire anybody. 3.Technician didn't just inspect but placed sticker over tinted Windshield when there was plenty of space for placement and management altering the sticker. They have no problem destroying or damaging your vehicle and don't expect corporate to respond because it took four months for them to get back to me and not give me a full satisfaction they claim toOffer. Firestone sold me a lifetime warranty on alignment didn't honor it and claim they couldn't align it properly. That's where the good news stops, I feel they decided to try and scam me by saying that my third brake light was not working when it in fact was, and when I investigated the situation I found out that actually NONE of my brake lights were working. Then upon further inspection I found that they had taken out the fuse for my brake lights, which I could only imagine that their plan was for me to come back to the store for them to fix my "non-working" third brake light and have them charge me $70-100 for a new light plus installation when in fact all they were going to do is replace the fuse that THEY took out. read more

Wanted to charge me over $900 for items that didn't or already have been replaced for state inspection and went to shop next door to where I work and they said everything seems fine I don't need anything so I went to another auto service who I didn't know and they agreed I don't need anything so total bill for inspection was $73.67. That's taking advantage and ripping people off I have their paperwork and showed them to the other places and they laughed and the last guy I went to said he's been a mechanic for over 25 years and he know by now what he's talking about, apparently Firestone on Airport Rd doesn't. read more

This review is a no-brainer. I cannot believe how incredible the service was at the Firestone on Airport Road. My family was visiting me in the area and just as they were about to leave we realized the car had a terrible flat. A local shopkeeper was kind enough to do a quick search of open places that could repair or replace the tire and we called 10 minutes before closing asking (begging) to see if they could help us. We hadn't even jacked the car up to take the tire off but Ryan asked us about what kind of tire we needed to make sure he had it in stock (they did!) and he said he could authorize staying open just a smidge more if we could get there in time. I have never taken a tire off a car so fast! Luckily I had my car, with fully inflated tires, and we threw the flat in the back and raced off to get to them in time. We called them on our way and made it there just under the wire. Ryan and the serviceman (I'm sorry, Sir, I never got your name) greeted us and replace the tire so fast and had us out in no time. In the end, my family left only an hour and a half past their intended departure - all thanks to these to gentlemen. I really could not believe how kind, gracious, and helpful they were. I work for a big name pest control company and we take are vehicles to this shop. I am very disappointed! I took my work vehicle in for an inspection and oil change. When I was notified my vehicle was done. It needed brakes and a nail was in a tire I was told. When I went to start my truck and leave the dash lit up like a Christmas tree. I went back inside and here when they did the inspection and took off the vehicle something got messed up with my parking brake sensor. So the man tells me I will call you in a week we have to order the parts. Thinking that my company will pay for new parts on something they messed up! And now it's been over a week and have not heard a word from anybody about bring the vehicle back! So everyday my truck is constantly beeping from something they did when doing a simple truck inspection! I'm still waiting to hear something Firestone..... well im not happy with this, went to get a inspection for my 2016 rdx, waited for about an hour and half service guy came out told me everything was good except i had a nail in my tire im thinking here we go then he said they didn't have the tire that was on my suv but they had other tires, now he says you have to replace all 4 tires because you can't mix them up which is true so i ask why would i want to replace all 4 when just one you said had a nail in it then he saidif we take it out tire will go flat , oh he had quotes for tires then i told him give me a second i got to call my son i told my son what happen he said don't let them do it tell them leave it in . then i go back speak to the guy don't think he was happy but , then he said i only get one sticker cant get the other because of the tire, ok the service tech drove my suv out i went spoke to him ask him to show me where the nail he act like i had 10 heads then i repeat it he was not sure now im thinking oh wow i left the place next day my son call a shop he told the to order me 4 new top of the line tire went today which is tuesday jan/30/18 this happen yesterday jan/29/18 my son went to get the tire put on guess what no nail could be found now im upset shop got the tires took off the old one they checked no nail three peoples look all this for nothing now i have to go back to get my other sticker i live 25 mins away you got a sign up about being honest i been reading alot of firestone reviews lots of peoples had same problems i would like top manager to call me. i went to another firestone near my home thats why i stop going there, decided to come here a year ago. read more
