I left Money in a zipped up bag in my door panel and it was the first thing i checked when i seen them move my car after it was done being serviced. well guess what no money was left. the manager denied it and even the service men who worked on my car denied it. WOW I DIDNT KNOW MONEY DISAPPEARS when it can get serviced. i intentionally left the money there because i figured i can trust it was going to be there when all done. plus it was hidden in the side door panel. so that tells me that they intentionally were looking because there is no reason for them to look there in the first place. Got taken. I had a slow leak , asked if my tire could be patched. the service manager agreed. After removing the tire the service manager stated that he couldn't patch it because of the type of puncture. Then he sold me a tire. I insisted on keeping the tire and I took it to Mountain View Tire were I usually take my car. Manager at Mountain View saw no reason why the punctured tire could not be repaired. This guy in the front desk named Freddy B. keeps on answering phone calls and entertaining each one of them, I mean its okay to answer phone calls as long as there no people in front of you. Then after he's done with the phone, he asked us how can he help us, then after we said that we have a nail on our tire, he said I'll help you in a second. Then ofcourse he answer another phone call. after that husband and wife came in. then this guy freddy entertain them before us. after 30minutes another guy came to help us and he told us that its gonna take an hour and 30mins before he can fix our car. I just wanted to point out here is that in the first place he could tell us a warning that its gonna take that long. The manager should train him how to do the job. hope this guy gets some training. read more

I came here to get an oil change and my tires checked on a fleet vehicle. They were busy and told me it was not approved. I called my fleet company and they said it was approved already. Basically they didn't want to work on my car... so don't come here when they are busy. read more

We made appointment for last saturday morning at 7 am. We got there a little after 7. We told the guy the problem. He said we would have to wait for several hours to have service because they are short staffs. We had rear hub changed in the La Puente, Ca location yet they could not solved the problem so we decided to take to this location. The mechanic check it out and told us they found a diffrent problem. They supposed to check the work from La Puente location and resolved that. At La Puente location we paid over $300. We paid again at this location for wheel cylinder $95.98, wheel cylinder labor $88 which is the same problem. so we said ok. At 10:30 comes we asked them so what's going on with our car. They said it will be done by 11:30. We waited. 11:30 came not done. By 1:30 finally they said it's done. They didn't fixed shit. The problem still there. It gets worst everytime i brake, it's making this loud horrific noise. I wish i could post the recording of the noise and you would be worry & scare. Especially when i am on the freeway and it's traffic i have to brake & stop, brake & stop. We are beyond pissed off spending 6 1/2 hours waiting. I don't think the technician (08 Fernando) even do anything as he said he did. It's very inhuman to charged us and not have any service done. read more

THIS PLACE IS A FUCKN JOKE ! My dad came in here with out me to get his truck fix and they ripped him off ! I would of never let my dad get taken advantage from this stupid sales man ! DO NOT COME HERE AND EXPECT GOOD SERVICE ! We had a problem with our truck always turning off on us because of some cord the gas pedal had to run it ,and this guy named "MAURICIO" that toke the truck to see what it needed and tolled my dad that he will fix the problem and also put some maintenance on the truck. He also said he was going to run the truck to see what it had. So long story short the next day my dad brought the truck and it was missing some of the emergency brake parts, (they had to fix also) ! The guy just made the maintance on the truck and never fixed our truck or the emergency brake ! I saw the bill and it was around 1,500 ! WTF and they didnt even fix shit ! I Guess "MAURiCIO" forgot by the time i came to talk to the idot their he had moved to their Firestone in Downey ! He took the parts missing from the emergency brake and never told us the problem was fixed ! He just left without calling or even telling my dad the car wasnt fixed so we just toke it since their store does not have any communication !!! and im guess my dad didnt even know since he thought it was fixed for the price the charged him ! read more

Came in at 2pm on a Sunday to get an oil change. They weren't too busy in the shop and no customers were waiting inside, so I'd figure it would be quick. When this older man up front, who didn't even acknowledge me for a good 20 seconds, finally looked up, I said that I wanted an oil change. He said "No! We aren't taking any more today!" I look at my watch. There's still 4 hours left in the day. Look, I get that its a Sunday, but come on, they weren't even that busy. My dad is a regular and he often recommends this place. My past experiences have been good, but this made me angry. I didn't like the way the guy spoke to me and It just screams laziness to me. At the very least, give me a reason other than "no!" I wish that I could give this place 10 stars because I would! Josh's team, Milton, and the whole crew here are as good as it gets! We've been Firestone customers for almost 9 years (since living in Baltimore) and our experience with this proves why we remain loyal customers. We went in to have hoses replaced and found out that our head gasket needed to be replaced, the top of our engine block was cracked, it had a severe oil leak among other minor problems. The team at this store called us with every update and their recommendations. We are a family of 5 and we don't have thousands of dollars to put into a vehicle. My husband planted and leads our church, I just launched a photography business, and we have a 12, 8, and 6 year old, so we need every penny we have. When it was finalized that they were going to need to keep our vehicle, Josh (the store manager) decided to pay for us to have a rental car! He wanted to ensure that we were with a vehicle while they carefully worked on ours. As if that's it, Josh then proceeded to chop our final bill by 50%. We paid roughly $2200 for new hoses, a new head gasket, and a new engine head! When they found that we needed a new engine head, again Josh came through. He told us to just pay for the parts and they'll eat the labor. When we pulled up to get our vehicle, we were welcomed with waves and hand claps by Milton and Josh. They took the time to line by line detail all of the work that they had done. I was teary eyed thinking about how much we didn't have to pay and how very friendly and customer service driven these guys are. We were sad to learn that Josh is leaving because he's being promoted, and rightfully so, but we're remaining faithful clients to the crew over at Baldwin Park Firestone. Their service is unmatched! I made an appointment for Wednesday afternoon for my company vehicle. When I arrived Gary mentioned it would take an hour because he only had 2 technicians. I decided to wait and 15 minutes later he said the national account system was down, he would not be able to work on my car. He asked if I could come tomorrow morning around 10 am when he arrived. I mentioned I would call before to make sure the system was back up. I called 10 after 10 and he asked if I could take it at noon now because they were busy. I agreed to take it at noon. When I arrived he asked if I could leave the car for a few hours because they were busy and had customers who needed their vehicle. I understand I'm not paying out of pocket but I need my vehicle as well. Why would he keep telling me to bring It at a certain time to service it if he still was not going to do it. I am a HUGE, HUGE, HUGE fan of good quality customer service and I definitely got to say that this place really went above and beyond my expectations. I had a horrendous flat tire at work that was completely beyond repair so I decided to drive down to firestone to get it checked out. I was pretty bummed out to find that my flat tire was hopeless, my spare was hazardous, and my other three tires were ready to be switched out. Definitely a sad moment considering all the dollar signs that were going through my mind! Luckily! Josh the store manager was really kind to inspect my tires, AND give me an awesome rate to change out all four! I was really grateful for his help and generosity! You don't find that many great quality workers these days so I'm happy to have encountered one! He was super attentive and energetic, and he definitely made my time at firestone a great experience. I have been a customer at this particular Firestone for about 4 years now and it is about time I step it up to give this place the recognition it deserves. It breaks me to see guys giving misleading ratings to great businesses only because surely they don't know a damn thing about their own cars. I definitely would NOT want to hop in an Uber ride with a driver too blinded to change out his bald tires. Thanks Josh, +cookie points for saving a life. What really keeps me coming back is their excellent customer service (well that and my lifetime alignment agreement too :). I'm sure its "oh-hey-its-that-Acura-guy-looking-for-that-free-alignment-again" sort of deal but hey you know what, they do a damn good job of making me feel like I'm welcomed every damn time I'm there. Came in for a oil change and tire rotation on Saturday April 15, 2017 Took about 4-5 hours for car to get done . Once I got it home I noticed that the hub caps on my car are bent sticking out of the rim as well broken. If this firestone location can't even put hub caps on my car with out breaking them what does that say about the service . Called the manager Freddy at 7am on Monday 04/17/17 since they where closed on Easter explaining the problem and called him back at 8am allowing him to review the pictures I sent him . He's responds was got your pictures I will call you back so will wait and see. This an update to the review above after a calling customer service on Monday 04/17/2017 and today being April 22,2017 Freddy manager went above and beyond to make this right . Freddy the manager replaced all 4 hub caps on my car with the original ones I had. He had to order them and he would update me daily on the status of my replacement hub caps. I am surprised how Freddy the manager has handle the situation and how he made this right . I have never experienced a manager that actually made me feel welcome in a very awkward moment when everyone is pointing the finger . Worthy of a ZERO star award! This is the kind of place that gives good, honest, hardworking mechanics a bad name! It is like one of those bait and switch places you see on 60 minutes, the kind of unscrupulous shops that make up problems you don't have just so they can charge you out the a$$ for repairs you don't need (full story below). My battery died while i was in LA visiting family over the holidays. The battery was still under warranty so i called the manufacture to find out where i could go to deal with it, and this Firestone shop was the closest so i went there. When i got there they tested the battery and hemmed and hawed trying to make it sound like the battery was only questionable, and that it was probably my alternator. I told them no, the battery charges when i drive and discharges as it sits, and that i just want to get a new battery. then they gave me some song and dance about i needed a receipt (i specifically asked the manufacture if i needed a receipt, and they said no because the battery is marked with the day it was purchased). At this point it was clear they knew they were not going to make any money off me, and so were not interested in helping me, so i just grabbed the battery, found another dealer about 10 miles away. When i got there the guy tested the battery and was like, 'yup, she is dead' wrote me up for a new battery and i was out the door, and everything has been working fine since. so in short, do business with this place at your own risk! read more

After having a pretty rough time coming from big bear (flat tire and driving on a small spare when we have a WRX Subaru), we stopped at another Firestone location first where we bought four brand new tires.. no joke right after leaving we got another flat .. long story short we ended up at Firestone Baldwin Park an hour before closing. Their staff I have to stay went above and beyond for us. They didn't have the tire we needed in stock but they drove to another location that did and came back right at their closing time. They checked all our tires (going above and beyond in my opinion) and really took time to talk to us and make us feel satisfied. I took my car here a couple months ago for an oil change..and I got good service I decided to go back for another oil change.they are very nice and make me feel comfortable. Being a woman going to auto places men tend to take advantage and over charge everything.but the guys here are nice.prices are decent..oil change was about 30 bucks..only thing is they take forever but it's ok cuz they have a nice waiting room with AC and free coffee..very cool..the guy that helped me..forgot his name he was a big guy he was very sweet..take your cars here people.. read more

So...first off let me say I am one picky s.o.b. ...so I needed New tires and an oil change .20's at that. I did my research , read reviews on what would work,etc. I grew up in a shop and know my way around a car.(1) class away from being ASE certified. So your not gonna b.s. me. Josh was the first person I spoke with. I told him everything that was going on with my vehicle I wanted to upgrade to all-terrain tires and not street tires. And was not going to go any other route. He was not pushy and he understood what I was going for. there was a lot of leg work he was going to have to do. I go in on a Saturday with my wife and left my truck there.they check it out find out what's going to work and what's not going to work . I was looking for a particular style and called ALL around from West Covina to Santa Clarita.( everybody else asked me what kind of driving am i doing well of course I'm driving on the freeway that is all jacked up) and over half of these people tried to put me in street tires.??? And quoted me SEVERAL hundred dollars more.???!!!What the hell. I had around 10 styles of tires to choose from that I researched.. But..now listen.. it was Josh's job to find the prices and give me a reasonable quote and he did with exceeded expectations. He told me that price said he could order them they ordered them and installed them the following Tuesday.He honored that price as well!! No hidden b.s. I could not be happier with my results from the store. ***Josh ***in particular. He made me feel like I was a person and not a number. He even communicated with me through his personal phone and sent me pictures of my tires when they arrived. that says a lot about him. Tyler in the shop was superb with installing my tires.Explaining every step and honoring my requests. Remember I'm picky and grew up in a shop.:-) Alex was super friendly as well. What a scam! Went in for a review of my vehicle for an uber inspection. Failed on the notion that my cars fires were unfit for service . The "manager" Josh insisted to me that the tires are bald and needed replaced (and they could do it for me for $500). He explained that when tires are at or under 2/32 the tire bars are flush with the tire. I told him over and over that it appeared that the tire bars were NOT flush and appeared to have some breathing room. I was even told the week before my tires had another few months of good life when I got my oil changed. Needless to say, I left and later I finally looked at the detailed report and the technician noted the tire depth on the sheet as 4, 4, 4 and 3/32! I had unrelated service done on my vehicle and was told by the dealer my tires were also fine for now but in a few months might need replaced. Called Josh to ask what the threshold was in his mind as to what passes and fails these reviews. Had he said "uber says anything at or under 5/32 fails" I would have said "cool thanks" but instead he refused to give me an answer and even admitted he didn't know that cutoff from Uber at what the number was. So, to summarize, two independent service providers say the tires and fine, firestone's own service rep says they're at or above 3/32 (Josh said that guy measured them wrong). Josh himself (vs the world) says they're bald and extremely dangerous and i would be risking everyone's life by driving. Also, a final note, if you google this you'll see this is a common issue. I mean... I get it.... At $19 for an hour and a half of their time they can't pay the bills. They need to insist on new tires and recommend to me over $1400 in other misc repairs! read more

I usually got good service here. I was able to take my car in and get what I needed to get done in average time as they would anywhere else. Plus they give pretty good warranties on things they fix. However one time I took my car and they said it would take over 2000 to make it run again so they said it would be better to scrap it. I took it to another place and they were able to find the problem and fix it for about 100 dollars. read more

Took two cars in the get oil changes, as well as tire rotation and realignment for one of them around 10am. First, they say the first one is done, and the second will be finished in 30 minutes. That was at 2pm. We go back at 430pm because they didn't call back. Second car not finished, but we overhear them say, "Almost done. All they have to do is drain it." Forty minutes later, not done yet. I go up to the counter to ask how much longer. They tell us that they haven't realigned it yet because there are other cars ahead of us. "You haven't started it?" I ask. "No sir," the mechanic responds. It's already 5:30, so I inform him, "Okay, we have to cancel that because we have to go. You guys said this was going to be finished hours ago." They give us the keys, and we find out they also didn't do the tire rotation--I think they didn't hear my wife when she said it. Maybe I won't be so angry by the fact that they didn't hear her, but WTF. Why would you say you're going to be done around 3 and not even do the biggest job until 30 minutes before closing?! If they had been upfront, I probably wouldn't be so mad, but pretty much what I'be experienced today was a seven hour oil change. I used to really appreciate these guys. I really liked coming to this location. But the last year, I've been disappointed. Profoundly. PROFOUNDLY. But, I'll give them this much. They did give a ten dollar discount when I tried to use a coupon. TIP: Their promotions are for one car. So if you get a coupon that says $10 off when you spend $50, that means $50 spent on one car. We had $90 worth of services but neither amounted to $50 by itself, so they may not honor the coupon if they don't feel like it. At least they were nice about giving us that discount. But, still, a 7 hour oil change? read more

I'd like to rate it at zero stars, considering I didn't actually receive any services, but I guess this will have to do. Brought my car in for an oil change at 10:30. When it got to being 2:20, I decided the failure to call and tell me my car was ready was simply an oversight and I went back to the shop to see if it was ready. Turns out that after nearly four hours, my vehicle hadn't even made it into the garage. When I pointed this out to the cashier who had originally helped me, he said he had quoted me 3:00pm (he didn't). You're telling me that it takes almost four hours for my turn to come up, but it's a thirty minute job? The math didn't add up, so I asked for my keys and left. My Mother has been going here for years, she swore and lived by them till they tried to do her dirty! Tool her Cobalt in because the air was blowing hot. After their "complete Inspection" she was told she needed a new compressor and blah bah blah..totally out to about $1800.00. I then sent her to Ace Auto where they specialize in air conditioning and guess what? All she had was a short. $120.00. The air is blowing like a maxwell commercial. If I could give zero stars, i would... I drive a 99 Accord. I have been coming here for my tire service for years now and up until a couple of months ago, their service was adequate. However, I recently had the need to have the Firestone staff help me with a stuck oil pan plug. I left the car there. A few minutes later, they call me to let me know they could not get the plug out and that they would need to replace the entire oil pan - a $500 job! I found it expensive, but went with it anyway. When I picked up the car, the first thing I notice is the exhaust pipe joints are now blowing (I could hear the exhaust blowing) and an intense burning smell. I figure the new oil pan seal was probably burning out and the smell would go away eventually...wrong! A few more day and now I notice oil pools under the car which only became worse and worse as time went by. I finally decide to take car to my trusted mechanic and that's where the bad news really set in... 1) The oil pan screws were not screwed properly. The thread needs to be re-done. 2) Oil pan gasket was not installed properly 3) The exhaust pipe seal was broken and needs to be replaced. I don't have a total for what these repairs are gonna cost yet, but I'm certain it will go into the hundreds. Stay away from this place. Consider yourself warned. read more

***BEWARE OF RECOMMENDATIONS FROM THIS LOCATION *** i took my car in on 6/6/16 for an oil change and to inspect front driver side brake since its squeaking..." i was asked if i wanted to do my wheel balancing and rotation since i payed for the lifetime on a previous visit" i said sure thinking might as well get it checked.. i was told my front rotors will need replacement soon but was ok for now... once my car was ready, i drove off with more problems than before i brought it in for.. now my cars steering wheel shakes while driving and steers to the left .my rear driver side brake was making noise . i was told it needed wheel alignment ..so i bring it back the next day on 6/7/16.. and left with the nothing resolved once more i took it back today on 6/13/16 ,i am thinking maybe they missed something, it happens we are all human..right?.. we test drove it with the tech ..nice guy...he seen and heard the noises... once the car was lifted they went on and showed me that bushings on my suspension looked worn and was recommended to get replaced ...to fix the shaking steering wheel issue.... i was refunded the wheel alignment that i was surely recommended that it would fix my steering wheel issue..which was not there before i drove away with more problems than i did arriving to this shop and i just needed my oil changed... next time i need and oil change ill just go to Jiffy-lube. for any future purchases like tires which i have been buying them there as well, ill be looking for a new tire shop also... read more
