I took my car in a few months back for a check engine light and let me tell you they charged me almost 1k. So basically I took my car in for the light being on they did everything but fix my car and did a bunch of useless things on it. 2 months later my cars engine blows out due to the fact that they didn't fix it the first time. Awful workers and the manager Alex has a awful attitude. That man needs more customer service training. So basically now I'm left with no car due to their negligence and even then after they "fixed it" the light was still on and the car felt the same. I kept insisting and telling them it wasn't right but they just told me that the car was fine. Basically what I'm saying is go to the one in La Puente. The Baldwin Park location needs new employees who really care about their customers and not just meeting their quotas and getting their checks. read more

WOW. I wasn't going to leave a feedback until a friend on Facebook happened to share his negative experience with this location due to a recent visit. I guess poor service level is a norm at this location. Got up early to have my vehicle there before the shop open, a few cars were parked at the lot but no one was standing in line outside of the store. I stood outside the store for about 10 minutes and other customers who arrived after started to form a line behind me. When the store open I was the first one in. Clerk didn't even make eye contact and said I was third and pointed to the two customers who sat in their cars as first and second. Unless the parking spaces outside of the store were labeled as order of arrival and order of service, this shouldn't have been the case. The guy didn't even know how to handle my fleet account and his coworker had to step in after he finished writing the tickets for several other customers. I had told them the battery's been in use for 60k over 4 years and there's LOTS of crystals on top of the battery and I understand they need to do a quick test to rule out the battery. However, this service is a charged line item??? My last 4 fleet vehicles when brought either to the dealership or to other Firestone's competitors, this service was never charged. Heck even the local auto stores will do it for free. Feels like they saw my fleet account, assume I won't give a thought about charges and did whatever they want. When i picked up my vehicle, the paperwork wasn't even ready. No billed amount was shown, said they were having issues with their computers. I hope they didn't use that as a scheme to charge my company up the wazoo for a Sunday walk in the park type job. Shortly after leaving this location, my service engine light came on. Turns out the fuel cap was loose. I had gone over a hundred miles after refueling before bringing in my vehicle for service and I didn't see the service engine indicator come on until after pulling out of their lot. This location was very close to home and I was hoping it's a location that I can trust and bring my vehicle to from here on but after this, never again. Actually if it wasn't urgent that i had my battery replaced that morning (or if the vehicle would start up again after being parked and shut down while i was inside their store), I would've gone to other service chains I usually go to. read more

I brought my car in with brake problems. They found out that I had several problems and the store manager was really honest with me on how much performance I could expect from the car. Thanks to his straight talk I decided to not get the work done and buy a new car. They were very helpful and held the car in their garage until I got the stuff sorted with the dmv and had a junker come pick it up. Glad that they didn't take my money while believing that the car would die soon, and I'm glad that they helped me out while I took the time to get other stuff sorted. read more

I take my 06 e46 m3 here for my lifetime alignment every oil change and the staff is very accommodating. I bring all my cars here for lifetime alignment. I owned a 98 integra ls and honda s2000. My few experiences here have been great. Ive been to different Firestones and this has felt the most honest. If you ask to see the problem, they immediately show you and not try to prevent you from seeing. Of course sometimes wait times can be a pain in the butt. There are places around to kill time. My daughter took her car to firestone in baldwin park to refix what the firestone in Montclair messed up. Brake job and oil change. Alex is awesome he repaired the messed up brake job, replaced the belts that where put on to tight, and added the 2 and a half quarts of oil that was short on her oil change. If you need your car looked at go to this firestone. We live in Montclair but Baldwin Park is the place to go. read more

I truly valued and enjoyed my experience at this Firestone. I recently moved into the area and my car needed some work (new battery and some new tires). I had the pleasure of working with Josh Stoops. He attended to me as if I was shopping at Nordstrom due to his enthusiasm, product knowledge, and superior customer service, all of which I only experience in Nordstrom, until I came to this Firestone. Mr. Stoops explained to me the value of purchasing a set of tires (instead of just one; in which I initially was going to purchase) that would last me an estimated 100k miles. I ended up going with the better tires because of the benefit to ME as a customer. I really appreciated feeling valued and being treated as a priority customer. This place is a complete RIP OFF. I took my car to get a oil change took them about an hour. I didn't mind the wait. I trusted them so I didn't even check the oil or anything. Two weeks later I notice my car didn't feel the same anymore , it didn't have the power as before. I check the oil and it's below LOW. They didn't put the the recommend oil or only put one quart. I just went to autozone bought some oil for half the price and did it myself. read more

*******BEWARE OF THIS FIRESTONE****** this place by far has been gotten so bad that i wouldn't give them a star but i don't have that option to select from :(we've been coming to this firestone only for over 25 years or more but now i'm going to the one in west covina because the service has been unsatisfactory/unacceptable for the last 6 or more. i decided to give it more than a handful of chances to make a difference, so that's why i continued to go to the baldwin park location, but the last couple times i was having issues with my rims and tires so i figured since a had the lifetime warranty on the tires that i would get them aligned, balanced and rotated when i had issues but they never even did any of the regular maintenance/safety checks on the new tire installed. i drove off and my car was wiggling and bouncing like i had an hydraulic system in it. i returned back the next day and the manager "josh" attended to me and he said that that my rims are in such bad shape that they cant do anything more for my car to ride smooth. so i left very disappointed that I paid $300.00 for NEW TIRE and come to find out that it wouldn't fix the issue that i originally had. I was better off keeping the old tire and using it till the threads came apart. why wouldn't they have advised me that it wouldn't fix the issue before i spent the $300.00 on a new tire. so i left very mad, sad and all kinds off emotions and took it down to local mom and pop shop and they said that all that needed to be done was balancing and grant it that i know that my rims aren't in perfect condition so that made me feel a lil better, so from there we went to the firestone in west covina and they attended to me right away and was very considerate of my concerns. they checked the history of my car on the system and they said that they would do their best to get it as smooth as possible. they asked of i can leave my car over night and i was okay with it since i couldn't drive it anyways.they advised me that they would give me a call at noon the next day and i got the call at 8am that my care was ready for pick up. they even gave me a print out on what tires were off on balancing and which tires got rotated. mind you that they didn't even know that i was having issue with the firestone in baldwin park. i didn't want to mentioned anything when i dropped it off cause i didn't feel like i had to express any of my concerns to them about the other location and i didn't want to be treated any different from a regular walk in customer. besides that i wanted to know if they can do anything different from what the baldwin park location did. and guess what i'm so glad that i went to the west covina location cause they are so much nicer and efficient with their work. i've been back 2 twice now for different issues they haven't failed me yet. they really care about their customers safety and concerns that they have like any other shops they do recommendations but i don't every feel pressured to pay for something if it doesn't call an urgency to the service. i know that West Covina isn't as close to Baldwin Park from where i live but it is so worth the drive. i like that they are professional in all aspects. Seriously if I could give negative stars I would. I called 2 days in advance to make an appointment. They man told me I would be in and out because it was just an oil change. I asked should I come in earlier and he said no because the other appointments were booked. So imagine my surprise when I showed up and there's no room for me to be seen. The man ask how can I help you. I said I'm hear for my 10 o' clock appointment. He say do you have a while to wait. I said no. I was told I would be in and out since it's an oil change. He replied that there's several cars ahead of me and that it would be a while before they can get to my car. I said well that's why I made an appointment so that I could reserve a spot to be seen. What's the point of making an appointment when you put walk-ins infront of people with appointments? (Presumption because there were walk-ins waiting in line getting their cars serviced). He replies that there were also people from 8am that haven't been seen yet. Wow! I should have listen to the yelp reviews that warmed me about this. Smh. Never coming back here. So disappointed. May not even go to firestone anymore at all. read more

My last experience with this place was great enough that after using Yelp for years I created an account to rate this Firestone. I have been here twice, the first time several years back I was not impressed, I got average service the same as any other firestone I have been to. This last visit on 15APR2014 I needed a tire replaced. The tire was not covered under warranty, but after explaining that it was for my crazy elderly mother inlaw who has so much social anxiety that she was unable to have it replaced in time the store manager Josh (great name) replaced it for his cost of a new tire, with out charging me labor or installation fees. The technicans also included a courtesy check and plugged one of the other tires that had a leak gratius. Fantastic team, excellent serivce and coffee that wasnt horrible. There are also numerous well-endowed women that stroll by the shop regularly which made the wait bearable. I would recomend this paticular firestone, and would return for any of my future needs providing the same staff is working there. I just wish they could fix my mother in law to be more bearable. read more

After picking up my 2010Nissan Altima from the dealership from having service done (Only took it there cause I have insurance on certain maintenance) Nissan told me my car needed brakes to be changed cause the were according to them "hitting metal to metal" and I needed my rotors changed they were charging me 659.99. I have had a bad experience with West Covina Nissan so I brought my car to Firestone.. This was their response "Let us show you how bad your brakes are" they take me into the garage hand me safety goggles and explained too me "Your breaks are only 5mm worn out you have maybe another 3 to 4 thousand miles left depending how you drive, it's YOUR choice if you want too just do it now or wait till your next service, bring it back to us you have our quote and we will do it for you with a lifetime warranty!" (He smiles)... These guys are the best! Honest and let YOU the consumer decide! You hardly EVER see this anywhere! I recommend this place to everyone!! I hardly EVER rate anything here on yelp!
