My favorite place to get an oil change, tires rotated and purchase new tires. The staff is friendly, the place is nice and clean with an area to sit and wait. They prices are reasonable. What i love the most is how I never feel pressured to get any additional services. They kindly suggest what I may need soon but that's it. I booked an online appointment after selecting a tire that was listed as available in store. I was happy they open as early as 7:30am so I could get my front tire replaced right before going into work. I got to Mountain View Tire prior to my appointment and was able to check in by 7:40am. After a quick inspection of my existing tire, I was told the one I had ordered was not currently in stock, but he had one comparable to it and similar in price. He quickly added if I wanted the same tire, he would be able to place an order for it to be delivered by the afternoon. I immediately felt it was similar to a bait and switch and if tomorrow had not been a weekend where I didn't have to work, I would've just gone with the substitution. I finally agreed to have him order the tire for me before leaving the shop. I received a call right at around 3:30pm that my tire was delivered. I was very pleased with their communication. I was able to have someone bring my vehicle in and he drove back with a brand new tire on my car. read more

I had my oil changed here and the experience was terrible. After the service, the oil maintenance light was not reset and no service sticker was placed on the windshield. When I checked the dipstick myself, the oil level appeared low and the oil was dark with a burnt smell. I returned the next day to speak with the manager (Luis), who insisted the oil had been changed and showed me what he said was a new oil filter installed by the technician (Torres). However, when I expressed concerns about the oil condition and asked if they could redo the service for customer peace of mind, I was told I would have to pay again. The original manager on duty during the service was Mike. What concerns me most is not just the oil itself, but the lack of transparency and unwillingness to address a customer's concern in a professional way. When basic steps like resetting the maintenance system are missed and the oil appears questionable, it's reasonable for a customer to ask for reassurance. Unfortunately, I did not leave feeling confident that the service was handled properly. Luis refused to redo the service free of charge and at this point I realized that it wasn't doing anything by going back and forth. I would recommend customers going somewhere else. read more

I came in for a simple tire puncture repair. Although the invoice lists a courtesy inspection and tire pressure check, it was not performed correctly. Only one tire was inflated. The other three tires were not checked at all until I returned and pointed it out. Even then, the rear tires were set to 48 PSI, despite the vehicle clearly specifying 43 PSI. This is a safety issue, especially for an EV. The invoice is also misleading. It lists tire repair twice -- one main tire repair charge and an additional $8.99 line item labeled as tire repair, even though no additional repair was performed. If this is a shop or service fee, it should be clearly labeled as such. Incorrect tire pressure, inaccurate inspection documentation, and confusing charges show poor attention to detail and unprofessional service. I will not be returning. read more

I was on my way to a Mother's Day brunch and got a flat on my tire. I had to get off the freeway and found that my tire had crack in it. I did not have a spare tire, so was debating what to do and very luckily I found Mountain View Tire about 3 minutes away from where I was parked. I sloooowly drove there and was greeted by super nice manager. He gave me a quote for the tires (which was very reasonable) and the labor cost. I decided to change all 4 of my tires (I have been meaning to anyways, but got a little lazy). Since the tire costs were pretty reasonable, I decided to do this anyways. Unfortunately, I came RIGHT before the employee's lunch, so he told me that I would need to wait until they were back and it would take about an hour and 15 minutes once they are back from lunch. It was fine since the plaza had a few things to do. I wandered around the Target and looked around and found a boba place in the plaza and waited there for about an hour and a half. Around the time, that I got quoted that the service would be done, I wandered back over. The manager told me that it would take about another half hour, so I wandered back to the Target and came back in about 30 minutes. From there, I waited about another 20 minutes and the car was ready. I drove over to dinner and had no issues. I definitely think that I was very lucky to find Mountain View so close to where I was when I got the flat. They were very busy so it took a little bit more time than I was quoted, but no issues for me since I was able to do some shopping and grab a drink. I will definitely come back again. read more

Unfortunately - Mike, EC, and Lou no longer work here and ever since, the Customer Service has gone down the drain... My wife went down to get air in her tires (Mike had told us previously that we could stop by anytime) and was approached by a gentleman who told her to pull up into one of the bays and they would help her out. There were 4 gentlemen just standing around at the desk - and each of them looked at her and didn't say a word. She stood there for a good 15 minutes before someone (who looked like they were just clocking in) finally asked if he could help her. He put on his work shirt and filled her tires in less than 2 minutes. As someone who has worked in the retail environment and takes pride in customer service - it's very disappointing to see that no one has a sense of urgency to at least let a customer know "we'll be right with you" or even ACKNOWLEDGE someone just standing there waiting to be helped. We will not be returning and will be finding a different tire shop even if it's a farther distance. SCAM!...Went to them because my window wasn't working and my door wasn't locking. They diagnosed the car and told me one part would fix both issues. First after it was done, my passenger door handle was loose. I had to leave it there another day for them just to fix this issue that they created. Then after two weeks with everything working on my car, my door wasn't locking anymore but when I took it back all of a sudden they have amnesia and tell me the part was only supposed to fix the window issue not the doorlocking issue. And they tell me that they never told me that. Even the manager who I spoke to weeks earlier who literally told me the motor they were putting in would fix both issues, all of a sudden doesn't remember saying that. I should've learned my lesson because the first time I got an oil change there... when i was picking it up my battery was dead for some reason, which I thought was weird but they ended up having to jump it for me. This establishment has issues. I took vehicle in for bell and serpentine belt replacement. I noticed that my car wasn't being worked on after being there for 2 hours. I waited for another hour and the same, my car wasn't being worked on. After approximately 4 hours of waiting, I saw two guys under the hood of my vehicle, I thought great they're working on it. When all was allegedly done, they told me my vehicle was ready, so I paid the bill and left. Within 6 months of service I was still having the same issue, and had to have it quickly fixed at another repair place who had to replace the same parts I thought were replaced and Mountain View. Steer clear of this place. And even if they try and claim they replaced the belt, why was it stretched out and slipping in this short period of time, and why would the bell need replacing?????! read more

Oil change and tire prices are reasonable. That's why they got at least 2 stars. At their urgent recommendation the last time I got an oil change, I had the front end CV shaft replaced for $411. They convinced me that it was hazardous to not take care of that. Then the last time I got an oil change, they alerted me that my battery was ready to die and even showed me the meter reading for it. As soon as I told them that it was less than a year old from AAA, the guy got a funny look on his face and said to contact AAA because it was still under warranty. The AAA battery specialist came to my home the next day and showed me on THEIR meter how healthy my battery was. I haven't been back since. This is not good business practice. read more

I walked in on a Saturday morning and the guy working the counter ignored me for several minutes even as I was standing in front of him.. didn't say I'll be with you shortly or any greeting. Fine, once he was finished with whatever he was doing he acted like he was bothered by my presence. Yesterday about 5:15pm I noticed the tread on my two front tires was tearing away and showing the metal. Of course I had ignored the tire light. i panicked as I had a meeting to attend at 5:30pm. After they checked in, it took over 2 hours for them to get their tire serviced, for flat repair that takes no more than 20 minutes. On top of this, they sold balancing service which was totally not necessary. Flat repair requires tire balancing? Since when? Poor value. Brought my vehicle in for an oil change before I could get a smog check and registration renewal. It was my first time here and the second time my vehicle has been here for service (by my girlfriend when she had the day off and I didn't). Service was actually much faster than they first estimated, which was nice even though I honestly had the whole day to take care of that, so it allowed me to be patient since I was in no rush whatsoever. And then I saw the opposite in someone else. What was funny was that an elderly man was so impatient that he thought it was necessary to stand at the doorway between the service area and work area to nonverbally remind them to get working on his vehicle. In reality, the spaces to elevate the vehicles were still occupied and in use, and they were naturally going to get his vehicle next, with or without reminders. It just goes to show that old people and small children have way more in common than we originally thought. But I digress. Prices were fair. I used the check-in desk for a slightly-discounted synthetic oil change. Service was very good. No obstacles, no complications, felt comfortable. Parking: Plenty in front, which doesn't matter much since the vehicle will end up moving to get serviced anyways. FYI: - No appointment needed. They might actually take appointments, but it's not actually a system they have in place. - There are a few chairs inside while you wait. If you would rather wait outside, there are tables by the Target across the parking lot. read more

And I thought it deserved a shout out. Called the store on Saturday, 8/10/2024. Approximately 4:30pm wanting to know if they had any tires in the size that I needed. The customer service person took the tire information, looked up his inventory, told me the price and special discount program offered. The prices were right in my budget, but unfortunately the tires I wanted needed to be ordered. The earliest day it could come in was Monday. I needed to get the tires bought and installed by Sunday so I could use it on Monday for work. If the tires were available Sunday, I would definitely have gone to this location for the tires due to the outstanding customer service given. read more

Took my car over there for an oil change last night. Guy didn't give me options and auto selected the $99.99 for me until I asked him the price, then he offered the 74.99 then finally the regular 39.99 after I said those weren't the usual one I get. He said it would include oil change, engine fluids and tire rotation and the car would be ready in the morning, so far things are alright except the stealth up-sale. This morning another guy Louis called and said they finished the oil change and that they checked the car and then listed 6-7 items that I should do to keep the car in good shape. I said okay I'm going to pick up the car soon and we'll go over the list of things when I'm there. Somehow this answer ticked him off as he then said "Oh okay so you don't want those work to be done? Fine, it's your car." I thought this guy is pretty rude and way too pushy but I need the car for work so I got to the shop and guess what? Louis saw me asking for the car and he says "Your car is still on the rack and it'll be done in 15 minutes, why don't you take a seat?" He said with a smirk. I asked him why he told me the car was ready more than an hour ago and he couldn't find an answer and told me that it makes no difference why and I still needed to wait 15 minutes. I don't usually have too emotional of a reaction to businesses mishandling small things but this one was intentional and I'm calling it out to warn future customers, no one deserves to be treated like that for no reason. It's clear that from the phone conversation he already decided I'm to be punished for not letting him add more work to be done on the spot and the things he said was beyond rude into offensive territory. Ended up waiting for about 22 minutes and with about $8 more on my final charge even though they said everything was included in the oil change. For that, I rate Mountainview Auto and especially Louis a 1 star, and if the store owner still wanna keep him around then good luck to them. read more

Hello! I just wanted to say that Mike at Mountain View Tires was my hero today! My first day of my new teaching job started off with my tire losing lots of pressure very rapidly! (Monday was Monday'ing) The only place available for me to turn to was here! I left my house at 7am, with rapidly decreasing tire pressure, I decided to wait in the parking lot until 7:30am which was my time to report to work and the shops opening time. Being the first in line, I was greeted with friendly professional service and Mike took my keys immediately thinking he was going to tend to my vehicle. Mike became increasingly busy with back to back to back to back to back customers (not exaggerating). Rather than panicking of my new jobs start time, I sat eagerly yet patiently waiting for my car observing Mike's cool, calm collectedness during the morning rush. If he can be patient, I can too! My car was done within a reasonable amount of time, Mike and I had a quick convo about how tough customer service can be by testing our patience and so on. But Mike never faltered, he attend to each and every customer with the same respect and patience. What could have turned into a really tough morning turned out to be pleasant and amazing! So to start off mercury retrograde I got a flat tire on my way to my family's house . Luckily I wasn't to far and yelled a place to take my car and Mountain View popped up after a few quick reads I called and Mike picked up I told him what has had happened and he told me to come right on over ( on a Sunday ) . He was very busy and got to my car in a timely manner and told me the problem. My tire was splitting . Doesn't sound great right !? Well it's not . I'd give them 0 stars if I could!!! I've been coming here for all my car needs since 2019 and I've always felt that they took care of me and were honest until this last month. I took my car in for a oil change. Three weeks after my oil change my car started making a loud knocking sound. Every person who heard my car all asked the same question if I have done my oil change. I look at my oil and it's at least 2 quarts low and black. I take my car back to them they state any damage that was caused by us we will fix. The manager calls me and said his dm said they will not fix my car and are insisting that they did do the oil change. I ask why is my oil black if I got it 3 weeks ago. His response was I cant answer that. I take it to the dealership and come to find out my engine is done and I need to replace it. Horrible customer service and they stole 75 dollars from me by not doing the oil change and destroyed my engine in the process. The 1st photo is after they looked at my car and added oil so it looked full. But how could it still be that dark after 3 weeks? The 3rd picture is my oil after 3 weeks of driving when I checked it before taking it back to them. I just went yesterday because one of my tires was low. My mom suggested them as she had gone a few weeks prior and was raving about their great customer service. She was accurate in that. I arrived and they immediately told me to pull to the back so they could evaluate. Upon inspecting, they found a nail. They repaired it and had it done so quickly. I really appreciated the transparency throughout my visit and that it wasn't a sales pitch to look at anything else. I definitely recommend it and I'm happy I went there. Gave them my car for 30 minutes only to be told that they don't have any large tire patches in stock and that they won't have any in stock for over 3 days... This is at a tire repair shop... Had a super short notice emergency Me thinking I can remove and change one of my spark plugs easily I ended up snapping it in half which yes it's the worst feeling ever nowhere near my homie i live in Glendale by the way I had literally no other option but to find a spot near by.
