My wife commutes to Cape Coral every weekend to take care of her mother whom has Alzheimer's and dementia. Yesterday, she heard a noise coming from the engine compartment and had some issues driving. When she arrived, it was worse, and through FaceTime we concluded it was probably the Alternator, and serpentine belt due to the smell, and metal pieces. She went to the Auto Parts store first as it was just across the street, and they were absolutely cruel. I won't name the company, but they said it would be fine. She had her mom in the car, and these guys were dismissive at best. Well, she got to her mom's down the street again, and it just felt wrong, so I looked up the closest place and spoke to a very nice person named Alysha. She listened and had empathy for our situation, she said, come in as soon as you can after she conferred with the mechanics. Mind you, it was late in the day and they were close to closing. Tacked her while she made her way there. It was actually close to the Auto Parts store ironically. She just made it and the car died. After a very thoughtful conversation with Chris, he said we would have the diagnostics done in the morning and he would get back to us. That was a bit of a stressful night. Christ called and told us the news of what was wrong. It was what we guessed, and though quite expensive, I believe it was a fair price, and again, could have been disastrous if she were on the road alone driving almost 2 hours north. This is our only car, and we rely on it. The car was ready sooner than quoted, and we are thankful for the kindness, and service. My mother went in for new headlights. You guys quoted her 3 hours and $243. Autozone gentleman did it with install for $46 in 10 minutes. Chase the dollar or chase the community. You tried to take advantage of an old lady which makes you a POS company. You are a $2.2 BILLION company. I hope that goes to zero. read more

I had an appointment on 03/23/2025 for a basic oil change. In the next couple of days I had arranged to move to Kansas from Cape Coral. About an hour and a half north my coolant reservoir was completely dry and busted a hose due to pressure all while pulling a uHaul and my family with me in Gainesville. I had recently attended to that prior to firestone, (so i know i was full and had no leaks AT LEAST and not my biggest concern, it could've been much worse) About in Georgia after the quick fix, my truck blinks a 'Low Engine Oil' alert. I thought maybe i had a potential bad sensor? or something as i JUST got my oil changed. Turns out i had driven 1500 miles completely dry of all necessary fluids. it was a ticking time bomb. Yes it is my responsibility to check after someone, especially if you want it done right. with the timing of the move and everything else going on, it slipped and found out luckily before it was too late. why did my 6 hour, no oil change result in my coolant disappearing and not having any oil in my engine whatsoever? buyer beware. thankfully the company as a whole will and did take care of this. i will be in touch again with another branch if i have any further issues regarding the area of the potential damage. hopefully wont be any issues moving forward. 2018 1500 black chevy read more

Headed for a day of fun. Tire indicator states low tire pressure. Front tire at 19. What do I do? Went to where I had good service in the past. They were very, very busy. Said would be 1-1 1/2 hr to look at and fix. Explained situation to Chris Skaarva, service mgr. We found a nail in tire. Im not from the area but we had leak in our rear tire, and I made an appointment for a repair. They found 2 nails in the tire and suggested replacing it due to the damage. We did end up purchasing 4 new tires but they gave us a reasonable deal. I did have to wait a bit longer as they needed the tires delivered from Ft. Myers. In the end, we had 4 new tires. I understand that I had to wait for the replacement. The man in the lobby was kind and understanding and worked with us so we could get back on the road. Thanks Tyre'. read more

3 things about this place: 1. The staff seemed nice at first but their customer service did not reflect at all. 2. They told me to have my tires changed and would take about 45 mins to an hour. After the promised time, I called and they said the same thing, 45 mins to an hour. After 7 hours of waiting, they still told me 45 mins to an hour. And I still had to wait afterwards. 3. I ended up getting my car so many hours after I was promised. I understand that they're short staffed but don't make the promises that you cannot keep. My car was finished with my trunk open, spare tire placed where it wasn't supposed to be, and all the tools laying around in my trunk. If you're short staffed, then do not take so many customers. Overall most and foremost, schedule accordingly. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE OF BUSINESS AT ALL COSTS! I am beyond disappointed and feel as if I wasted over $1,200 on just 2 tires from these guys. Not only did they sell me tires from some other shop and fail to notify me of that, they also failed to notify me that my $1,200 purchase would not be covered. I barely have 1,000 miles on these new tires and I discovered a razor in my side wall today. When I requested coverage service for my brand new $1,200 tires (remember this is only for 2 tires) they told me that those tires are not covered since they didn't come from Firestone. Well well well... I would have LOVED to have known that when I purchased them, but no, these people are more worried about taking peoples money without any customer care in mind at all. Worst experience ever regarding a repair shop. I ask them to check my AC to see what they think why its not blowing cold air but is blowing luke warm to cool air depending on weather or not if the sun is out or its cloudy out. The charge me for the AC performance check with dye and they tell me the problem is my car needs an evacuate and recharge and that will get it blowing nice cold air again. Once they tell me the job is done to come pay and pick up the car. I paid and started driving home an would you look at that, still no cold air as promised. It was to close to the shop closing for that Saturday so I call them back and they tell me to bring it back in. Now all of a sudden, the problem is that my car needs a new compressor and condenser. First off, they should have found that my car was not blowing cold air after they performed the unneeded evacuate and recharge, second of all they never offered to return the $245.56 + tax or take it off the $1500.00 quote that they gave me to replace the compressor and condenser and 3rd they should have been honest to begin with about what the problem really was. Beware of this shop and use at your own risk. I learned my lesson and will never return. read more

I brought my car in for an appointment at 4:00 pm as the vehicle was pulsating at 75-80 mph so even the simplest person would know there is a balancing issue as these were new tires. I brought it in and explained in detail to the manager I spoke to Jason I do believe. Once work was complete my wife picked up the car at 7:30 pm as the were not done at 7:00 when they normally close long story short the car was worse then when I dropped it off they never balanced the tires so obviously I was upset brought it back next morning and they were able to get me in after I gave them a piece of my mind but what a waste of time get this simple stuff done right the first time. Also manager a lady needs to learn how to accept that they screwed up learn how to get a customer back on the good side. read more

I never given a place a review without getting service done, but this place proved that some people that work for big chains can be honest. My car broke down and I had it towed to the closets auto shop and the guys inside were able to check my car and see what the problem was. They were honest enough to let me know what happened and explained that I should bring it to car dealership because they would not be able to promise fixing what the problem was vs adding more damage. Though they couldn't fix it, they didnt charge for checking it either. read more

I have yet to have any issues with this place. I've been a long time customer of Firestone. I used to travel a lot more around the country and it was nice that Firestone could keep my records and be consistent. This location has yet to really fail me. They are on the friendlier side in comparison to...let's say the Miami locations? But ultimately we want to know they do good work and don't spend too much time on the job. I've been coming here at least 4 years since moving to this area. Normally I do alignments and oil changes only really. I haven't needed anything major and if they can't do it (or don't know), they've been honest about it. What this place excels at is their service mixed with their friendliness. It's not the "norm" when you think of mechanics. I'll definitely keep coming to this location. read more

I just wanted to add that Rick and Holly have so much to do with the success of this place. Rick was recently on vaca and Holly must have been out a few days and boy did it reflect! However, in a day or so, Holly was back and things were moving along as they should. The little blurb they experienced when Rick was on vaca is further poof that Rick is needed as he oils the place and keeps in moving and on track. My sister took my elderly parents car here with a screw in the rear tire, they told her the screw was too close the sidewall to be fixed. I had my sister keep the tire so I could see it as I was going to be in town to see it myself, it could be fixed with a plug or a hot patch but they chose to take advantage of a woman and sell her a tire to the tune of $170 instead of a $20 repair. I fix cars myself so I could care less if they contest this review they're dishonest and god only knows how badly they take advantage of the elderly here in Florida. I had 100,000 mile service done on my truck and a mix up on time I was to bring it in. Rick the manager stepped up and helped the mechanic working on my truck to get it done and done right in 4.5 hours! I only that he discounted some of my bill since I had to pay for an Uber back home and then back to Firestone later that day. While I was there paying my bill there was a gentleman down on his lock that needed two tires and Rick stepped up and paid for them out of his pocket so the man would be taken care of. They did outstanding work on my truck everything was done right and the customer service was amazing. I I will not go anywhere else from now on. Awesome experience! Scheduled my car for an oil change and dropped it off the night before (key drop by front door) which made life easy. I also asked them to look at tires and a few other items. Rick, manager called the next day. I did need tires as I had expected. I got a great deal. I know because I have brothers in the business and Rick waited while I phoned them for advice and then they spoke to him ... kinda a very patient man! I put the tires Rick originally recommended to me in my vehicle. Only two this time and two next month. My vehicle allows for this ... also got the lifetime alignment as recommended. Vehicle is now in (ok, in a few week with the other two tires) will be in tip top shape! Everyone in this Firestone that I encountered was very friendly. My daughter went there a few weeks ago. She had made an appointment prior. She had also been here several times before so they knew what type of car she had. She sat for over an hour because they needed to get a filter. She was stranded because her car was on the lift. It took another hour to get it done once my husband had to call in and figure out what was going on. Why would they not either be prepared or at least suggest a different appointment time when they had the parts? read more

Went to this location to get an oil change and tire rotation. When I first called I was told "we do not take appointments-its walk in only". I called back the next day and was taken care of no problem. I had asked if there was wi-fi and was told yes there was free wi-fi. When I arrived and sat in the lobby while my car was worked on, I was told the wi-fi had been broken for the last 3 weeks. I was still "at work" and needed the wi-fi, if I knew if was broken, I would have waited for a weekend. Then someone else chimed in and said that coporate had turned if off to discourage people from sitting in the lobby, and to make them wait outside. It is SW Florida!! It is 100 degrees outside and its only 9 in the morning!!!! I pointed out that the "free wi-fi" signs were still up all over the lobby. Then I had a $10 off coupon and was told what I was paying was pretty much would it would have been without the coupon. So what's the point of offering the coupon? I thought I was getting $10 off. read more

I have used this location before and decided to schedule an appointment to get 4 new tires put on my truck...the type of tires I wanted they didn't have but ordered for me. I had a 10:30 am appointment 3-2-2020. I dropped my keys with the lady working th4 computer..walked down to the store. When I came back to the location I saw my truck on 4 jacks on the side of the parking lot...windows down lug nuts just sitting on the ground. No one was around my truck. They just left it there. So I decided to sit on the curb next to it. I sat there 20 mins and witnessed someone almost backing into the front end of my truck because how the techs parked it. So I went inside to speak with the Manager and asked if it was protocol to jack up vehicles in the side of the parking lot. I scheduled an appointment and also there were open bays. I explained that my truck almost got smacked because where it was sitting...the Manager argued with me saying they do it all the time to cars!!! I understand if I needed a patch or something quick...but i scheduled an appointment and also paying a grand for tires. None the less I ended up telling the manager just put my old tires back on because I refuse to pay for service like that. I ended up calling corporate to ask if they knew of protocols with jacking up vehicles in the parking lots...when the customer made an appointment and getting 4 brand new tires. Corporate customer service said NO that's not protocol at all. The Manager never apologized for anything and was confrontational. read more

They guy was rude when he answered and seemed in a hurry to get off the phone with me and after i thanked him his response was "mhm" and hung up. That was the end of the conversation. UPDATE: I have been contacted by Firestone and was told that the higher ups told them to put a new radiator in my car they also told me to rent a car and I will be fully reimbursed for it they cannot fix my car til Friday. I will post another update once my car is returning to me w everything fixed the radiator the clock and the traction control button and then I will update my post again. Spent thousands. Brought my car in in a Friday they had my car until Monday evening because they order the wrong window part. Left with a coolant leak I didn't have when I brought it in. Traction button no longer works and my clock now switches between regular time and military time. This is a disgrace. My 08 vette could have blown up. Thankful I keep an eye on my gauges.
