Set up an appointment for them to reseal or look for a puncture in my tire as it was leaking. Was told that the tire was bald and they couldn't do it. They tried to sell me another tire. The tire was not bald and just needed a reseal. Went to another tire shop and had that done. read more

I purchased 4 tires when I was back in my hometown on vacation. After paying and returning home in Arizona my wife noted a charge of about $200 was added to my bill without my consent. I called, they told me I'd be in line that no appointments were scheduled just walk in and they will service me. 2.5 hours of sitting for my tire to get patched I watched multiple people come in while I was sitting in the lobby and I watched those same people get service before me and leave. No one up front told me my time to get served was 6:15. Overall not worth it unless you have literally nothing to do but sit in the lobby. They will tell you when you ask about it that they are getting to it shortly. Schedule online I'm sure they are more help but no help to walk in. read more

I stopped in to get my front drivers side tire patched as it had a slow leak. The manager helped me, I repeated which tire multiple times. After awhile he brings out a tire and tells me it's leaking so badly they can't fix it, he even said he was surprised I was able to drive it there. So I bought a new tire. After a little longer, I looked out into the repair shop and noticed the passenger side of my car was raised, so I asked him why? I told him I was only there for my front driver side tire to be patched. He didn't really say anything, 15 minutes later, another person is ringing me up. I was sitting in the waiting lobby watching the manager have a truck driver wait 3 hours to get unloaded. I went in for a flat tire and sat around for an hour, nice front desk guy but I didn't see him again. They didn't inform me on what they did to my car, I drove home and found out they didn't even take the nail out. Going back in to get it actually fixed. Will update if they do it or not. Waited a whole hour for them to pull out a nail that they could've done in 5 mins. Waste of time but happy they actually did it. No where has had either of them together. And the ones with only the tires didn't have the lock. The Hyundai dealerships said they couldn't get my tires off so I should buy a new car. Well I gave these guys another chance after saying in 2020 I would never go back and I was pleasantly surprised. These guys are fast I got four new tires put on in and out in 40 minutes! The only thing that didn't work so well was I tried to price match before I ordered the tires online and I didn't get an email back until the next day I went ahead and placed the order the first day anyway. However, it all worked out. I got the discounted price on my tires and they even gave me free installation in the email I received. I just needed to bring the email in and show them . Jon was awesome at the Blairs Ferry Road store in Cedar Rapids. If you register online and buy your tires that way, you will also get an update on your phone as to the progress while your tires are being put on. However, I found that the guys were faster than what the app could keep up lol. The other thing that could be improved is I got an email the next day that said my tires were in. Great place... and they will even check air in your tires all you have to do is pull up to the side between the cones no more do it myself! Awesome. read more

Replace four tires 5 months ago and they have performed excellent. They ask about wiper replacement and I thought cars 3 years old so it's probably a good idea. The wipers were fine in the beginning but they've been on the car less than 6 months and if it isn't downright raining they sound like they are dry wiping with lots of noise and vibration. read more

Waiting is too long for a flat repair. Just bought tires in Nov and one blew out, needed it changed and there was a 2.5 hr wait for the tire to be repaired. This was on blairsferry rd. Pat showed me what they had and gave me info about their road hazard coverage. They had the tires in stock and I told Pat to go ahead and install them. $180 a each for tires with a very good sound and snow rating. New tire stems and balancing, too. Being the son of an automobile repairman, I have learned that regular maintenance is much less costly than repair. With that in mind, I drove to my local Discount Tire store today. There was only one customer in the store, and two cars in the parking lot, so I stopped in to get the the tires rotated and an air pressure check. Imagine my surprise when the clerk behind the counter said "We are only doing flat repairs" as "our part to help combat the virus". Really? No, I mean "REALLY?" There were not 10 people at the store, and that included 5 that were working outside. I travel more than 300 miles per week for work, most of it through rural Iowa where a repair facility can be more than 50 miles away. Everything was pretty great. Good experience with the showroom staff. Store was clean. Prices competitive. Service was fast. If you buy a new set of tires, they throw in free rotation and free flat-fix for the life of the tires. And they have a reasonably priced optional extra to replace a ruined (unfixable). Like tire insurance basically. One complaint. I had new tires put on 2 vehicles. The tires on the first were all overinflated by 6 PSI versus what the vehicle manufacturer recommends (on the sticker inside the driver's door) and on the second, they were all underinflated by 3 PSI. This gives the impression that the technicians aren't trying their best, and the inconvenience that I had to deflate/inflate tires myself after returning home. In spite of that fairly minor issue, I will return again when I need tires on my next vehicle. read more

Comming back from an emergency funeral visit to florida, i immediately got a flat tire after being picked up from the airport and had to put on the donut i had. I get there to replace the flat and the other one old tire, making all 4 tires new of this year. They pulled my account and tried to find the same new tires as i got earlier this year. They didnt have it in stock but Pat gave me 2 better tires for the same price as the ones i got in February. Same warrenty as well, They also balanced all of the tires and rotated them for free. They also inspected and put air in my donut for free. Lastly, they replaced the rubber parts (TPMS) for free as well. They were very fast for a last minute visit and they were so very kind. I was not happy what so ever. I had someone set up the appointment and then when I get there, they said there was no appointment. I ended up leaving my car there for three hours for them to fit it in. I had a tire leaking air. Then I get a phone call, telling me that they can not fix the tire because they patched it and did not put a plug in it. So I ended up buying two tires. The second tire was bold in the inside of the tire. The next day I called my dealership and spoke to them about the tires and then I called the dealer that I bought the tires from. Both dealerships said I pretty much didn't need to buy a tire because they could of patched it, and you never want to put a plug in there because it just makes the hole bigger. Then they do not balance your tires when they put them on. So you end up going somewhere else to get that done. I will never shop there again. And I will tell all my friends, not to waste your money. read more
