Beware of serious up-selling. I'm in need of an alignment job due to a minor accident and they quoted me 3x-8x the regular price on average for each part, along with an insane labor rate. For example, one part that needs replacing can be found for $5. I was quoted $80. A job that should easily cost under $1000 was quoted for over $4000. Go somewhere else. read more

I do not recommend you take your car here. They are very unprofessional and rude to customers. I had an appointment set at 2pm and I went up there at 7pm which is their closing time and my cat hadn't been touched. The only thing they we're supposed to do is check to see why my check engine light is on after they recommended that I bring my car in earlier then my scheduled appointment because "it might be seen sooner". The night manager named Chuck threw my car keys down at me because I asked him if I can reschedule my appointment. They didn't have the decency to at least call to inform me that my car hadn't been looked at yet and see if I would like them to keep it they just made the assumption that they can keep my car over night without asking. I then asked Chuck if he was the manager and he said "no" so I then proceeded to ask where the manager was and he hesitated to say that he was the night manager. He refused to give me his last name but I do not recommend taking your car here if you need anything fixed on your car OR EVEN IF YOU JUST WANT YOUR CAR LOOKED AT AFTER RECOMMENDED BY AN EMPLOYEE. read more

I wish I could give half a star, no a third of a star would be better. Normally we have good service but last week our allignment was done incorrectly. We returned at our appointment time this week to have it corrected. As you can imagine my husband was irritated at having to drive another 45 miles to get this corrected. Two hours later our car still hadnt moved from its parking stop despite having an appointment. My husband got into an altercation with them. In the end the allignment got done again. And, yet again, something didnt feel right. We brought our car to brake check and their allignment check proved our fears. The rear allignment is totally off! Do not go here! read more

I was on my way to renaissance fest when of course I got a flat tire along the side of 290. After driving around on my donut for awhile, trying to find an auto place open on a Sunday we ended up at firestone. David was working the front and was super friendly and helpful! Keep in mind I'm in full ren faire attire. He immediately walked out to my car and grabbed my flat tire and went to air it up to see where the problem was. Unfortunately it was more than just a patch could fix and I had to get a new tire. Instead of waiting for an open bay, they pulled out their jack and changed my tire right in front of their auto bay. They got us taken care of and on our way in less than 2 hours on a very busy Sunday. We were still able to attend most of the faire and it's all thanks to these guys! Thanks again David!! read more

In College Station Visiting friends on Jan 25th, its Sunday about 4 our tire is having problems part of the tread is coming off so I stop by there because I have always bought tires there, I get in the shop about 430 and he says its too late for them to help me with anything; I say I think i can make it back to Houston and the guy at the counter says OK go out side and I will come and look at it so I go and wait at a few minutes until 5 then start closing everything up I go the the door and its locked. I look through the glass and he just ignores me? Seems like they care more about going home than customers So before i swap the spare and limp home I go down the street to the Goodyear place and it looks like they are closed but I try to go in anyway the the door is open, any way the manager there stays late after they are closed to swap out my tire Just shows the type of people that you are relying on for your safety. read more

The staff is very nice, and actually worked with me to give me a very low price to an unordinary problem. I had Firestone tires that were sold by BCS tire. BCS tire flat out refused to honour the warranty. The tires were completely torn, and only half way through their warranty time. BCS tire just came up with lame excuses. Firestone replaced those tires by warranty! That was amazing! They were quick (considering how busy they are) and the Manager, Jack, was extremely nice! Not sure why they have all those bad reviews, because my experience was outstanding! read more

I brought my car in to get 2 tires replaced on Sunday and left without my sub. Sadly I didn't notice this until Tuesday (when I bought grocery) and couldn't stop by until Thursday because of work. But when I did, the manager was unsympathetic and was talking down to me. Yes, I suppose my custom speaker, which would probably not fit other car, could have gotten stole from my locked "unbroken into" car where the more expensive amp sitting on top was left untouched within that two day period where I didn't check my trunk. OR after removing it for repair, a practice that the manager himself admits is the common, they could have forgotten to put it back in . So yeah, I'm not going to take my car back here. I brought my daughters two year old car here for a state inspection and they failed the tires for improper wear. No steel belt showing just worn unevenly. Complete upsale for new tires. I will never go there again and never take my care to a tire store for a state inspection. This was a complete rip off and if I had more time I would have taken it somewhere else. They were completely unprofessional. This is Firestone tire sales strategy to get people to buy tires when they do not need to. The old tire are 70K mile tires with only 24K miles and Hanover been aligned and rotated 4 times every 6k miles. read more

The service was terrible!!! I have an appointment at 12. They told me to wait about 35 mins to get my car done. But after an hour, my car was still in the parking lot so i have to ask them whether my car is done or not. They told me that they gonna fix it right now and it gonna take about 20 mins, but i end it up waiting for 35 mins. They also said that there are nail in both tire, but the one on the left is fixable and gonna cost 30$ and the right one have to replace for 220$ so total 250$. I saw discount tire right across the street so i just wanna see if it cheaper. It turn out that discount tire fix my flat tire for free and the one that has to replace only cost 130$. I would recommend to go to discount tire for a better service and cheaper price!!! read more

Took my car in for an alignment after replacing the tie rod ends, both front wheel bearings, both front lower control arms/ball joints, driver's side hub, and driver's side CV axle. Got it back and the alignment seems fine, no problems there, but when I went to pick up my car they recommended I replace the passenger side wheel bearing too because there was "some play". They were even kind enough to draw up a quote of half a grand for me. Note that on the passenger side the hub came out fine and was reused, so it didn't look like anything had been done, as opposed to the driver's side which had a shiny new hub. I suppose if you go for a set task, such as an alignment or a set of tires they'd be alright, but I couldn't recommend anyone go for any general auto work because they'll try and sell you the store. read more

This Firestone has no integrity. My daughter, ATM student, took her 13 year old car in for a new battery. They charged her $172.36 for a 5 year life battery (the vehicle will not last that long). I eMailed Firestone over a week ago with my concerns and have still not received a response. Taking advance of young college students may increase near term profits, but it does not create returning customers. read more

I went to multiple places in College Station and every other mechanic tried to screw me over. They all told me additional things that were wrong with my car that weren't. Between all of the places that I went to they told me it would range between $350-1000.I don't know why some mechanics feel that they can take advantage of college students especially girls since they don't think we know what we are talking about when in reality we do. I finally went to Firestone and had to come back a couple times because they were so busy but they are worth the wait. Firestone ended up fixing my car for only $150. They are such an honest company and I will never go anywhere else. read more

Firestone as a company has always given me poor service, I've had my car really jacked up by other locations in the past, so I try to steer clear of them as much as I can. However I'm a college student and new to town, and needed to get my oil changed and a quick state inspection, so I took my car here. Last time I ever do that. They failed my inspection and had a listing of stuff for me to repair before being able to pass totaling $1000! I told them I'd come pick my car up without any repairs. I immediately took my car to another little place in town for a state inspection and passed with no issues. Be careful with this Firestone, it seems like they try to take advantage of college kids that wouldn't know any better. It's hard to find trustworthy mechanics and I can ASSURE you these people are NOT who you want to take your car to, especially if you're a college kid in town. They will only up charge you and try to sell you parts you don't need. On top of that they do an expensive oil change. Go to take 5 or somewhere else for that over here. $65 just for the service on an oil change!? I'm sorry but no, I'll do it myself next time. read more

Went to Firestone.com to schedule routine maintenance on my vehicle. 24 hours later received a call from Firestone HQ to verify and set up appointment time. Dropped off vehicle the next morning at 9am. Returned at 3pm to pickup vehicle. Easy enough right? Wrong, my vehicle still had not even been touched, they told me it would be another couple hours till they could get to it because they are very busy in the afternoons, wait, I dropped this car off this morning. I DO NOT reccommend using Firestone if you want to setup an appointment, your vehicle will be done last or not even gotten too! read more

Firestone replaced my alternator twice, both were rebuilds and both went out under warranty. There were delays in completing this particular repair, but those were the fault of the parts store (they delivered the wrong part). Firestone kindly gave me a discount on the labor to make up for the delay (which they didn't have to do and was much appreciated). The alternator was at no cost due to warranty, and they installed a new one as opposed to another rebuid. Price for labor was quite reasonable. 10/10 would use Firestone again. read more

Worst customer service I have received in a long time not to mention rude employees. I had my mass air flow sensor replaced June 2014 after waiting three weeks for someone to finally replace it. Apparently no one there knows how to write down a name to schedule an appointment. Took the car to the dealership recently ( I wasn't about to take it back to Firestone) and the dealership said a Toyota Mass Air Flow sensor was put on my Mazda. Seriously!? I took the car back to Firestone and not only did the staff want to sit there and argue instead of just fixing what they screwed up in the first place, they tried to tell me two other sensors were bad and needed to be replaced. What a load of crap. If it's incompetent, condescending people you want to deal with, Firestone in College Station is the place to be. I'll never set foot in there again. read more

Firestone in College Station Texas is a joke. I have the lifetime Front end alignment, I've had it since April of 2016. Took my wife's van in today and my car to get the alignment checked and I had to call them to check and see if it was ready and they tell me they can not do it because my tie rod is out. Now See that would be believable if it was just one car, But I brought both our cars in to be checked and they tell me the exact same reason to the tee on my car that they just told my wife on her van. Firestone refused to align both my vehicles unless I bought 2 tie rod ends for each vehicle & a new tire. They quoted me $600 per vehicle & refuse to align the vehicles until we paid this price. Our car just had new tie rods put in it. Hints of me taking it in to get it aligned. What a joke. After I left there I took my cars to 2 different shops, not firestone of course, Both shops told me my tie rods are good. Again this is a complete crock of s***. I'm not going to stop with this little comment here. I'm taking it as far as I can go. They are scamming people & this will never settle right with me. I've already put in a complaint with Corporate & all they told me was that they will look into it & investigate. What good does that do me? These 2 vehicles are our way of transportation with 5 kids. My car & van are pulling badly to the right hence the reason I brought them in to get aligned. This is dangerous if not fixed. I went to firestone to get oil change and inspection and they told me that my car didn't pass the inspection because of the leakage in my power steering pump and told me that I had to change that to pass my inspection (535dollars! Also, when I got the receipt it said that it was only recommended...) well, I saw no leakage and thought my wheel was steering well enough so I took my car to other place to get inspection and got it passed.... read more

Do not send your college student here to get car work done! They claim to have replaced the headlamp on my daughters car. It never did work. I replaced them myself and found they charged her $50 for doing absolutely nothing. The new bulbs cost $89 each. Should have been my clue. My daughter called me at 6:30pm stating the tire pressure was low in one of her tires. It being so late in the day, I was worried that no one would be able to look at it. However, fortunately, when I called Firestone Complete Auto Car, they said for her to come as soon as possible because they close at 7:00pm. She arrived about 15 minutes before closing; they pulled the tire and sure enough, there was a large nail in it. Glad to say, they were able to repair it and get her on her way, even though it required them staying past their posted hours. So extremely grateful for their assistance and kindness!! I got my oil changed here a week ago. I also asked (and they agreed) for them to do a general engine check. They said they did so and I left pleased with my experience. However, 8 days later my engine light came on. I took it into them an hour before they closed because I had just gotten of work. They refused to work or even look at my car and wouldn't even answer any basic questions. On top of this, they were incredibly rude and acted as if I was in their way and annoying them. Sorry for wanting to be your customer! I then took my car to another auto shop (Parkway Auto) who had just closed and they instantly agreed to look and see what was going on. They quickly realized the problem and sent me to the dealership because the knew that the part was cheaper there! On top of all of this, when the dealership was replacing the part, they discovered that my power steering was unplugged!! This was obviously a result of the Firestone visit because Parkway Auto simply ran the car through the computer check for the engine. So, not only does Firestone have poor customer service, they are incompetent. In other words, DON'T GO HERE!! You and your car will be worse for it. read more

Came in for an oil change at 11:00, they told the eait was around 4 and a half hours. I dropped off my car and came back around 2:00 to wait at the store for the rest of the time. My car was still left where I had parked it and I am still waiting (it is 4:30). When I got up to ask how much longer on my car, the rep told me of the suggestions they had in addition to the oil change. Charging $20 for labor to change a cabin air filter that takes not even 5 minutes. Also told me the wait would be an additional hour. I have been coming to firestone since I got my car because my mom is particular to where I take my car, but this is ridiculous. I will be waiting 6+ hours for an oil change. Most likely will not be coming back if I can help it. read more

We had work done on our car at another branch while on vacation. We were still having the same issues with our car so we took it to our local Firestone branch here in College Station. They managed to misdiagnose the issue two different times saying that it was a problem with the engine even though all the symptoms pointed to an issue with the cooling system. Before we spent thousands on an expensive repair, we called another mechanic for a second opinion. The other mechanic said it sounded like the issue was with the water pump. We asked the Firestone shop to check the water pump. They repeated that the issue was with the engine and the water pump was fine. We asked corporate to send out a third party investigator to double check. After not hearing back from corporate for a week. We took the car to our mechanic and found that indeed the issue was with the water pump and a broken thermostat (that the other Firestone branch had installed). This shop has no idea what it was doing, and the Corporate office does not care about making sure that their stores are properly diagnosing their cars. Take your car anywhere else. I will never trust my car with this company again. read more

I came to Firestone Complete Auto Care to have new tires put on my vehicle. I was extremely unsatisfied with the service that I received as well as their timeliness. I am including an account of my entire visit below, but needless to say I would not recommend them to any of my friends or even to a casual acquaintance. The product that I had called ahead to ensure was in stock, was not in stock. I was not informed of this until after I had been waiting for over an hour. I did not receive any type of compensation for my wait or for their mistake. When purchasing new tires, I decided to go to Firestone Complete Auto Care because I had heard from another friend that they provided quick, friendly service. I researched which tires to get online and then called the location where I live to see if the tires were in stock. I was informed that "yes, we have four of those tires in stock." I then made an appointment for the following morning and was told to arrive between 7:30 and 8:00 am. I asked how long it would take and was told that it would take approximately 1 hour. I arrived for my appointment at 7:30 am the following morning. I was greeted promptly and asked if I was going to wait, I said yes. I walked to get a cup of coffee and came back to wait. I noticed that my car had not been taken in to the loading dock as of yet and was still in the parking lot. At 8:15 am my car was finally taken in. After another 20 minutes, I was informed that my car was misaligned on one side and would cause uneven wear. I was asked if I wanted to have that taken care of. I asked the price and was told it would be $79.99, but I would receive a $15 discount because I was buying tires. I agreed to the additional service. Only then was I informed that they did not have the tires in stock that I had called and asked about. The service person said that they had 3 so I could have the other one put on the next day or I could wait another hour for different tires to arrive from Houston. At that point I had already been waiting 1 hour and 15 minutes, so I said that I would take the tires that were on there way from Houston. I then left and walked home. An hour and a half later I received a call from Firestone. I was asked if I had noticed a rotten egg smell in my car and I said that I had not. I was told that one of the cells in my 6 cell battery was out and that it would be $99 for a new battery + $15 to replace the old battery. I said that I preferred not to have that done at this time. I was told that my car was ready and I could pick it up whenever. So I walked back to the store to pick up my car. After waiting for about 5 minutes or so to be helped, the service person could not find my ticket. At this point I indicated that my car was still in the dock and he walked in to see where my ticket was. I was then informed that my car would not start and that they were attempting to charge the battery. They recommended that I replace it because it was likely to not hold a charge. By this time I was extremely frustrated with the entire situation and asked how long it would be to charge. I was told it would take 20 minutes at most but that I should really have them replace the battery. After having been kept waiting to then be told that the tires were not there, to then be called and said the car was ready to only walk and find that my car was not starting, I was extremely irritated and very unhappy. After I waited for about 15 minutes, my car was pulled around front. I then went up to pay and the service rep tried to overcharge me so I had to pull out the printed copy of the quote from their website to get the correct price. At no point throughout this entire process was I apologized to, nor was I offered any type of discount for my inconvenience. I ended up with 4 new tires that were not the ones that I had ordered and hopefully will hold up as well as the ones that I had originally wanted. read more

Went in for a simple oil change. A great guy named Mike showed me that the tread on the inside of the oil cap was worn down, and told me it would cost 524.25 to replace it. Instead, i told them to order an oversized cap (which they did, and arrived super fast). They installed the cap, put in fresh oil and didn't charge me a dime, free cap, free servicing, and free oil! It doesn't get any better than that. All the technicians were very friendly and showed me the problem. read more

When I first moved to college station I came here a few times and decided not to come back due to long wait times even when I had an appointment. Today I needed a simple tire patch and I sat in store for nearly an hour and half while they went through and diagnosed my entire vehicle. They came back with recommendations on things that should be replaced on my vehicle but still had not even started the tire patch. I've always talked poorly about this place, but after this visit I actually decided to download the yelp app just to let everyone know that this place is a joke. I'd recommend going to the Goodyear about 2 miles further South down Texas. For the record if anyone from firestone is reading this, you do not inherently have permission to do whatever you want to a car that is left in your care. If someone asks for a simple fix, perform the service and return the vehicle. You did not have any type of authorization from me to do anything other than apply a tire patch and that is all that should have occurred here today. I see almost nothing but negative reviews on yelp in regards to this location and I genuinely hope that you begin taking these reviews seriously because your service is abysmal. I do not question this locations ability to get the job done, but getting the job done in a timely manner and general customer service is clearly an issue. read more
