Went in for a reduced engine power issue, hoping they could run a diagnostic and fix it. After running a diagnostic they said replacing the throttle body would fix the reduced engine power issue. After spending nearly $2,000, the issue came up again a week later. I took it back in and they supposedly cleared some codes out of the system and sent me on my way. Fast forward to now and my truck has a bigger issue that stemmed from the reduced engine power issue not being properly fixed. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE FOR ANY MAJOR SERVICE. Dropped my van off for an oil change. They called and stated I needed a new battery. When I questioned when did I purchase it she stated I didn't purchase it from there so they have no way of knowing. I told the woman the battery has a date on it, they all do. She said she knew nothing about it. I declined to purchase a battery from them. I left there and went directly to Auto Zone and they tested my battery, it tested 100%. I called and was told that is what the paper said I needed a new battery. read more

I was visiting Corpus Christi from Pflugerville when I encountered low tire pressure. I went to Firestone to have this patched. Wait time was 1.5 hours. Tire patched and plugged. Headed to Port Aransas and half way there my tire pressure went back down so I had to turn around and return to Firestone. Took my vehicle back and again wait time was 1.5 hours. While sitting there that was the pitch to every customer. I ended up just purchasing 4 new tires and was told that tires were on hand and this would take 30 minutes. While sitting there I observed a delivery truck wheeling off 4 tires after waiting an hour. It's ridiculous that they lie right to your face just to get money. This type of service is inexcusable. Waiting for what should have been done in an hour resulted in blowing half my plans for the weekend. No one should have to deal with inexcusable poor customer service. Also the manager should speak to his employee about eating her lunch on the sales floor. I'm pretty sure the company offers a breakroom. Overall experience 1 star...poor and unreasonable customer service. read more

I received a voicemail from the Lead Technician/manager at this store(he was the one who worked on my vehicle) stating that he had spoken to his area manager, and that his manager explained what constitutes a bad wiper blade in the eyes of the state. They offered to refund the cost of the oil change that was done at the time as compensation for their error. I never did hear from the area manager directly, and still find it hard to believe that Firestone has such poor training that they don't know how to do a state vehicle inspection. read more

I had an appointment for new tires. When I arrived to drop my vehicle off I was greeted by a nice gentlemen. I discussed with him my concern about the sensor light, he assured me he would have them tested. I was quoted 1.5 hours of labor time. We left and arrived back 1.25 hours later. The car was in the shop (hood up) and no tires on it. The lady up front says to me "do you have a mask" HERE WE GO! I say "yup I do" then she tells me I need to wear it. While the gentlemen in the lobby IS NOT wearing one. I try and explain I can't wear one. She disappears and comes back with reinforcements to TRY and intimidate me. This guy comes out trying to be tough. I said "go put my crap tires back on I'll take my business elsewhere" to which he says "that's fine your one in 1000 you don't matter" but yet he doesn't go have the tires put back on. He proceeds to tell me the lady was "only doing her job so she doesn't get fired!" I said "wait you're telling me this company would fire someone because of a customers refusal to wear a mask" YIKES! Then he says the other customer (not wearing a mask) may be offended. Finally he gave up the argument and told me to stay 6 foot away from people WHILE STANDING 2' from me! I said "you're within 6 ft." "I have a mask on." I hope you see how dumb that is! After he walked away we had a great conversation with the gentleman in the lobby about it. He was less then impressed with it all. After finally getting my vehicle back 2.5 hours later (not 1.5) I find they didn't even check the sensors! I did a survey.. requested a call back.. got a call the guy on the phone pretended he knew nothing about this situation so I explained THEN he says "I'm actually the guy, I'm the regional manager, not the store manager and I run the majority of Texas" So he called me, lied, waisted my time, just to prove he's what? I'm in Port A with an RV & noticed my right front tire on my F-150 was losing air. I called my local Firestone store in South Austin, the Mgr referred me to this Firestone Auto Care center located: 6050 S Padre Island Dr. I gave the shop a call & set an apt for 08:00. I was in front @ 07:45, promptly @ 08:00 the front door opened. As I entered I was greeted with a genuine "Good Morning" by the Mgr Anthony. He researched my account, placed his tech Jerry immediately on effecting the repair. As I waited Anthony & I discussed all sorts of topics. I was impressed with his Sincere nature & building a life long customer. Additionally, I met Ray & Martha who asked me where I was from & continued with great customer service. I was out the door in less than 30 minutes with a smile on my face. I know these folks work hard & I voiced my appreciation for their talents. Probally the worst service I've ever had. I dropped my truck off around 10:30 to get my tire patched. Pretty simple and easy fix if you ask me. I got picked up and ran other errands. I called about two hours later to see if it was done. Nope. They said they were just now pulling it into the shop and it will be done in 45 minutes to an hour. No big deal. I show up an hour later. My truck hasn't moved the spot I left it in. And the screw was still in my tire. I walk inside and I got the whole i don't know who told you that story. So he tells me it should be done in an hour. I leave and call back in an hour. They said they were just now pulling it in and it will be done in an hour. Needless to say I got it back around 3 in the afternoon for a simple tire patch. And to add onto it I found out the patch was leaking the next morning. I will never ever go back to firestone again. 0 stars read more

I left my vehicle here on a Friday to just simply have an alignment, tire rotation, and balance done. I specifically told them I wanted to pick it up first thing Monday morning when they opened. When I picked it up nothing had been done. I needed it for work so I took it and told them I would be back later. They said they would have a slot ready for me at 430. They didn't take it in after I got there for another 20 minutes. Terrible customer service. It took about two hours for one guy to complete all the work on his own. At least this time they didn't try to tell me I "needed" another $2,000 worth of work done. read more

DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION I had a flat tire on 8/16/21 at my house. I had to put on the spare tire at my house to get my vehicle to the Firestone by my house which I have used regularly for my two vehicles. I dropped off my vehicle.  The flat tire was in the back.  They were unable to fix the car until 8/17/21.  When I picked up the car that evening and arrived home the back carpet that covers the spare was missing.  It was in the vehicle when I put the flat tire back there. I took the car back  to Firestore at Gulfway plaza and showed Roxie that the carpet was missing.  She said they would look for the part or try to replace it.   I talked to the previous regional manager Christian and  he told me to find the missing part on Ebay and let him know the cost.  I found a similar part on Ebay for $60 but it is not the correct part and had to send it back.  I called Christinan and let him know that via voicemail.  I also let Roxie know as well.  The only way to get the correct part is to order it through the dealership. This part is $450.   I have been dealing with this issue for a very long time.  It is now 3/29/22 and the issue is still not resolved. I have left messages for the regional manager and with the staff and this issue is still unresolved when the part went missing under their care. No integrity whatsoever. read more

Came in for an 8am appointment to have a tire checked for a warranty issue. I had an independent mechanic (whom I trust) tell me one of my tires was out of round. Took them over two hours to tell me that they thought nothing was wrong with the tire. Needless to say that I will not be returning here. read more

Horrible service, rude and completely inept. As a pilot preventive maintenance as opposed to emergency repair is my M.O. So when I came to Firestone the intent was twofold: Align the car, which was slightly off and rotate the tires since it had been six months. As an after thought I asked that they check the balance of the tires - even though there was no issue with them. After two hours I came back to pick up the car and as I was driving it on the highway I noticed that it was still pulling to the left. But worse than that the tires were now vibrating (something they were not doing before). Since the car was now worse than when I brought it in, I decided to turn around and go back and have them fix it properly. When I got there the Supervisor argued and came up with all kinds of excuses as to why I was wrong and they were right. I finally had to put my foot down and tell the to look at it again, meanwhile the manager who had been gone showed up and apologized and had them start the work right away. He wanted to stick the same guy who did the job initially on the fix but since he clearly did not do it right the first time, I insisted on somebody different. Turns out that three out of four tires were now out of balance and even though the manager claims that the alignment was done properly I saw one of the guys adjusting it so it was either not done the first time around or botched like the balancing. The end result was that after 3 1/2 hours the balance was finally back to normal and the alignment was somewhat better - it's an old truck so its probably as good as it gets. And while the manager was polite and professional I cannot say the same about his second in command. Avoid like the plague. read more

Went back in and they said I would have to wait an hour and a half to have my car looked at. Was also told they don't have any diagnostic equipment at this location. So then I drove across town to the location on Leopard Street and they took a look right away and were professional. read more

No need to make appointments or simply stay away. Took my vehicle in for a 9am appointment and they didn't get to work until 12pm. I was told I could leave my vehicle and they would call me once work was completed (tire rotation and balance.) I called them around 3 to check the status. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT AND LIARS at location:  6050 S Padre Island Dr, Corpus Christi, TX 78412. On January 1, 2018, we took our Toyota 4runner, that we just purchased, for the lifetime alignment special. This is the 4th or 5th vehicle we take in to purchase a lifetime alignment with your company. We also needed to get the vehicle inspected, the inspection tech, Danny Ochoa, failed our inspection because of the wiper blades. This is a new vehicle purchase and we had already ordered (we have email purchase proof) wiper blades to replace the ones that came with the vehicle so we were told to replace the blades and bring the vehicle back to get our "pass" for inspection. Since we work, we weren't able to take the vehicle back until Saturday, January 6, 2018. I got early on my day off and took the vehicle in at 8:20 am only to be told that Danny was out sick and he is the ONLY tech at that location who does vehicle inspections. Now, how does this make sense to you??  Why would you only have one tech and turn your customers away because the tech is out sick? The other Firestone at Palmera, which is literally 1.5 miles away has 8 inspectors.  Follow my thinking.......WHAT??  I work from 6:00AM-4:00PM or later and my significant other works 7:45AM-4:00PM and usually much later: so I finally had a chance to take it in today, January 10, 2018, and I call first at approximately 4:20 (we have phone records) and I was told that the inspection tech was not accepting any more vehicles for inspection for today. So I asked what time during the day inspections are done and I was told from 8:00AM-5:00PM Mon-Fri. This is false advertisement. If your sign on the door says 8-5 then I expect to be accommodated during those hours regardless of how busy the tech is. I then headed towards the store, which took literally about 6 mins to get there from the time I placed the call. When I get to the store, Laura tells me that the inspection tech, Danny, had left for the day. I told her I had just called literally withing 6 mins and was told he was there. WHAT A LIAR!!! She then changed her story: telling me now that he left early at around 4:00PM. What would you be thinking? I then returned to my vehicle and contacted your corporate office to file a verbal complaint. The customer service rep contacted the store and Laura told her yet another different story.  You see where our frustration and headache lies. The customer rep was told that one of the techs was out sick and the other was gone for the day. This is how your company treats its customers? How would you feel if you were treated this way? At this point, we are so unsatisfied with the way we have been treated, we don't even want to give you anymore of our business. We have filed a formal complaint with BBB. Don't come to this location if you don't know much about tires and car stuff. They will sniff it out and try to scam you. I needed new tires for my car and they said offered me three different options.....the cheapest being $800. Ridiculous. I didn't know I had to barder to get some damn tires. Maybe it was because I'm in the military (I was in uniform) the guy thought he could squeeze out a huge sale on me. Thank God they are opening a hobby shop on base soon. read more

My car was wobbling at high spoeds. Went in for alignment and tire rotation and balance. Was told the balancing machine was broken but that they were still able to rotate the tires and align the car. The next week I took the car to dealer in San Antonio after wobble persisted and was told cause was very bad tires. How did firestone not notice this?! Went for new tires at a firestone in SA and they confirmed tires were very bad and dangerous to drive on at all. Sad I had to go 2 hours for proper diagnosis and service. Not to mention that every time I call or visit firestone on SPID they are completely rude. Stay away from this location!! read more

I have gone here 3 times now and have been let down each time. First time I made an appointment for an alignment, upon arrival they couldn't do the work because they couldn't get the alignment computer to work. So I rescheduled (I wished they would have called so I could have saved the 1 hr round trip time)! Next time I went in for my alignment appointment, my car wasn't touched for 1.5 hours. My third experience was also an appointment where I waited for 2.5 hours at which point the shop informed me their technician wouldn't be able to get to my car that day. What is the point of making an appointment? Please hire more workers! Or stop making appointments you can't keep. I pay for your technicians valuable time, but my time is also valuable to me! read more

Good diagnostic and I can't complain about the $10 ac diagnosis special. My gripe is that their conclusion was essentially a total ac overhaul for $2000 when their diagnosis was merely a clutch that wouldn't engage. I asked them just to replace the clutch and they wouldn't budge on the price. I bet they're great for tires but I got fixed for less than half the price at the stealership. read more

Can I give a rating of less than 1 star....like a negative 5? Never, ever deal with Firestone! Never! There is always some kind of fraudulent fees and charges. "Diagnostic Fee", "Shop Fee", "Bend-Over this won't hurt much fee!".I took my car in to just get a quote to replace the alternator. I new it was bad. it needed to be replaced. The woman said that they would have to do a diagnostic so if it was not the alternator is might not need to be replaced. She called me about two hours after dropping it off and gave me a quote of about $275 to replace the alternator. When I went to pick it up that coast was $306 plus fees of over $100 for the Diagnostic fee and shop fees. After getting very angry and Threatening fraud and contacting an attorney They took off the Diagnostic fee. It still cost me over $60 than what I was quoted. This is Standard Operating Procedure for Firestone and their "12 Part Sales" program. I get free diagnostic at Goodyear. I have have had excellent service from them. I've come in a few times for oil changes, and once the guy behind the counter dragged his three kids to work and all I got to listen to for the next hour and a half was these gremlins fighting over this or that. Another time I came in asking them to check out my car for a weird scraping sound that was coming from the front passenger wheel area. I was gone for 4 hours, never got a call that it was ready and when I finally did call, they made up some excuse and when I arrived, it looked like my car hadn't moved an inch and they still charged me $10 without having even figured out what the problem was. I got a blowout a week later and the mechanic that helped me said the problem could have been easily fixed had the Firestone guys took a look underneath. Thanks a lot Firestone. read more

They had no HP trans fluid after they drained it. Years ago they told my daughter she needed an intake manifold. I told her no & took it to Ford. She did not need it. Horrible Service, and not just one Firestone i'd say all of them in Corpus Christi. They are slow. I came in at 1pm to get my tires checked they told me about an hour and that they would call. I came back at 2:30 they still were not done told me to come back in an hour, so i came back a 5:00. My car was still in the shop. So I talked to the guy and told him that we have been waiting here for 4 hours and you still haven't finished. ( keep in mind when we first arrived there were two cars in the shop!!) I called, on a Saturday, to inquire about getting my thermostat replaced. Spoke to a pleasant young man, who gave me a reasonable quote on price and then informed me I could make an appointment on Tuesday to have it done. I informed him I would have to make sure I could make it on Tuesday and I would call back. Called back approximately 15 minutes later and spoke to a woman there. Told her I spoke to someone else and needed to make an appointment for Tuesday. She stated that they would have to run a diagnostic test on the car and it would be 24.95. I stated I just needed the thermostat replaced. She said they would have to run the diagnostic because they guaranteed their work. I stated I didn't need the test because a thermostat is a very simple part and I understand cars enough to know that it needs replaced. She stated they would not do the work without running the test. So I informed her I would not pay 25 dollars to be told what I already know. She remained silent, so I told her I would be taking my car to someone else. read more

I had a horrendous service experience at Firestone Complete Auto Care, Gulfway, 6050 S Padre Island Drive, Corpus Christi, TX. On 24th September 2015, I had taken my car for service to fix a flat tire which I had purchased from them earlier. After my car is taken to the shop, this service advisor tells me that the tire cannot be fixed due to low tread and will have to be replaced. She gave a quote for replacement but never mentioned anything about the 65,000 mile warranty that my previous tire carried and it was run only 60,000. I had to ask for the prorated discount on the new one. When the technician (Lucio) got my car out after service, I was on phone in the parking lot. I noticed a big dent on the passenger side of the bumper and asked him about it as he got out of the car which he denied he had done. I was just looking at the dent while talking to this technician, when the service adviser (Cindy) came out in the parking lot so quick and the first thing she blurts out it that the dent was old and the scratches on it were rusted. I told her to take a closer look there was no rust on the scratches and they were fresh.She did not have a reply to that. So the next thing she asked me was to find the silver paint on anything in the shop where my car was stationed. She was so adamant and defensive. I said that even the plastic insert was missing. So obviously they had done the clean up job already. I asked her that it would be best to check the CCTV recording as that would show everything. She said they had no CCTV recording installed at the shop. There was no empathy, she talked to me as if I was lying. About a year ago, I went in for tire rotation at the same place and after the service i found the tires were not rotated, I could tell as I had marked the tires, when I asked the service adviser about that, he had apologized about that got the rotation done, I had left it at that without any fuss. But this time they dented my car and completely denied it. Absolutely HORRIBLE!! No clue about doing business or customer service. Had an appointment that I made 3 days in advance for a simple oil change. Waited forever to get waited on while 2 employees from the garage stood behind the counter and ate breakfast tacos while the cars they were supposed to be working on just sat on the racks while 3 customers were sitting in the waiting room. Very rude woman named Jeanette came behind the counter and I thought she was going to wait on me---then the phone rang and she immediately answered it and stayed on the phone a good 5 minutes. Finally a guy came in and checked me in and said it would take about 30 minutes. I went down the street and got a haircut, walked further down and did some shopping. I came back 1-1/2 hours later and noticed that my car had not moved. Went inside and they had no clue who I was or why I was there. After figuring it out the guy says "Oh-- your next".
