When I walked into the door, I was greeted by Heather who took great care of me assessed what was going on, showed me what's happening with my tire, and recommended some things to make sure that I was safe on the road. Heather did not try to upsell me. Heather did not try to pull the wool over my eyes. Heather was very honest and forthcoming. I decided on two tires and was told about the warranty that I could come by anytime to just make sure that the tires are wearing well and that there would be checks that are done periodically. That piece of mind was refreshing. I was told that the entire process would take about an hour to be done. 45 minutes later I was driving away happy as a clam. The amount that I paid was very comparable to others that I had checked in the area and I'm very pleased with the Service I received. When it's time to purchase my next set of tires, I will be coming back to discount tire in Colonial Heights. Their service was top-tier.

The fellas have always been friendly and not overly pushing "upselling" services or tires. I know what I want or need when I get here, so I don't really have the need for education or what tire I need. But I've watched the fellas and they don't seem to be upselling. I also shop around when I need tires. There is a big box store right down the street and another chain tire store. I always check their sales and DT always seems to be a few bucks cheaper. Going back to the service and the techs/managers. What I've seen though (in my opinion) is less staff but a crap ton of work. Now I'm not sure if this is a corporate issue (downsizing) or they just can't get or keep staff. But I'm pretty sure my observation is accurate. Service times seems to have increased from my past visits. Now I will HIGHLY suggest using the website and booking an appointment. That seems to help some. So big advice - appointment. I'm confident I will be continuing to buy and shop for tires here in the future.

Most recently, I wanted an existing tire mounted on a new rim. The technician found a problem inside the tire and explained that it would be unsafe to continue driving on it. Our vehicle has been returned to the shop three separate times after we were told the problems had been corrected. Instead of identifying the actual issue, it felt like the shop was guessing at the problem and having us purchase parts that ultimately were not needed. At one point, we were told the vehicle needed a fuse box, that it would be expensive, and that the repair would take a significant amount of time. We purchased the part after the shop confirmed it was the correct one. When we were notified that the vehicle was finally repaired, we let them know we would be picking it up. After my husband got off work, we arrived after 10:00 to retrieve the car. While the vehicle started, we immediately discovered a new issue--the air conditioner and heater would not turn on. The display read "Climate Off," and none of the climate control buttons were functional. Prior to bringing our vehicle to this shop, the heating and air conditioning system worked perfectly. With temperatures exceeding 90 degrees, it is hard to believe the vehicle was properly tested before we were called to pick it up. A basic quality check should have revealed that the climate control system was completely inoperable. It is disappointing to see what appears to be a decline in the quality of workmanship and customer service. The parking lot is consistently full of vehicles, and the shop continues accepting new repairs, yet it seems the vehicles already in their care are not receiving the attention needed to ensure repairs are completed correctly before being returned to customers. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend this shop. I hope they take steps to improve their diagnostic process, quality control, and overall customer service so other customers do not have to go through the same frustrating experience.

After my vehicle was serviced, my seat came back damaged and pulled apart near the controls. The damage was NOT there before my appointment. I contacted the shop multiple times trying to speak with the manager, but my calls were never returned. Instead of trying to resolve the issue professionally, the receptionist accused me of causing the damage myself. As a long-time customer, I expected much better customer service and accountability. This situation also reminded me of previous concerns about pricing. For example, charging around $60 to replace a basic air filter that costs about $10 and takes only minutes to install felt excessive. Very disappointed with how this was handled. I simply wanted honesty, professionalism, and responsibility taken for the damage done to my vehicle. And please do not respond to this review acting concerned now. She doesn't have 1100.00 to get her truck out. The owner told her to bring him 150.00 he would allow her to get her stuff, but she had to forfeit the truck to them!!!! She went to pay the 150.00 today and they slammed the door in her face. They dont close until 430 she showed up alittle after 415. They closed the doors early today... shut them right on her. I still cannot believe what I witnessed today. The devil is at work. I pray they have it in there heart to give this child het things, and so one better and give her the car... She was living in it at times. If it was there kid would they do the same i think not!
