They evaluated his car and ended up finding where the tire leak was within a couple of hours, they also told us our options and did not try to make us purchase anything right away. And for the 2nd time, while I set a reservation for 1:30 and promptly arrived, I left for errands and when I returned 2 hrs later, the service person was just then raising my truck on the lift to work on it!? If your getting anything more than oil change at this location your doing yourself a disservice. Went to see about getting my a/c fixed and they ran diagnostic and came back and told me a blower motor needed replacement. I opted out of getting it fixed there to get other quotes. Called Midas up the street and asked for pricing for the blower motor. They asked what was wrong and I told them about the a/c and they said blower motor wasn't the problem. So I thought maybe they are wrong cause I just got a diagnostic so I called a third mechanic and told them what was wrong and ask to price a blower motor and they also said, that's not the issue with your a/c. Long story short if you haven't realized yet is this location tried to hoodwink me into paying for something that didn't need fixing and more than likely ask me to pay for something else on top of that to get it fixed. They could've destroyed my engine. I went in for an oil change, just an oil change. But some mechanic decided to remove the coolant cap off my reservoir tank and place it neatly in the engine bay next to the tank. This caused the coolant in the reservoir to evaporate to empty levels over the course of a week. I did not notice they did this until a week later when out of curiosity I wanted to check my engine oil level, so I popped open the hood and saw the reservoir tank EMPTY with the lid removed. My engine could've overheated if I had not noticed it sooner and replaced it with more coolant fluid. If I was an uneducated customer and my car did overheat, I probably would've brought it back to this place so they can gouge me of money to fix my car for the mistake that they made. Why did they need to take off my coolant cap for an OIL CHANGE? If they wanted to check the level of the coolant for whatever reason, they could've looked at the markings at the side of the container rather than open the cap and leave the cap on the side. This leads me to believe that this was done on purpose and is an indication of negligence and malpractice. I checked under the hood before I went to this place and everything was in-order, it was only AFTER I visited this place that the cap was removed and magically unscrewed itself. We had our second tire blow in two days and AAA towed us to this particular Firestone. It was around 5 p.m. and close to their closing time. Charles, the Manager of Tire Sales, moved on our vehicle quickly. By the time it was towed, it was literally 20 minutes to change the tire. They are a BIT more expensive. Wal-mart was about $18 less for our little car the day before, but in a tight moment, they worked VERY quickly to get us out the door and home. Norman went over pricing and made sure I understood everything before signing on the dotted line. Lindley and Armando performed the repairs. Armando took time to show me what was going on with the car and provided maintenance tips to prevent future problems. As a whole, the guys were fair with their prices (car jobs are expensive - it is what it is) and efficient with their work (they got s#*t done!). I did NOT feel as though they were trying to pull a fast one on me. They were very communicative and didn't make me feel like I was in the dark about anything. They answered all of my questions. They offered me their car service if I needed it and were extremely helpful. The mechanics are very nice and do great work. If there is a crowd then plan to drop off your car, no good work is done fast. You dont want to rush the guy working on your car. Small shop but they are pretty busy. They have a great alignment machine and pretty nice waiting room. But, you will probably only be able to see football on the tv since the sales people and managers are football nuts. Bottom line, great shop, good work, you pay for the work you get here, drop your car off. They will give you a ride home and back. The lead tech Paul can fix anything. Jose is a slacker but he's OK. I got 2 phone calls from them while i waited. 1 for an oil change upgrade by the manager and the second by the mechanic to confirm it. Had my car towed there because the rear driveshaft broke off from the u-joint, I was charged $350.00 for a "remanufactured driveshaft" which I later found out to be a USED one that I can buy for under $100.. I also questioned the $21.99 charge for an "alignment check" which was not done nor authorized. I was also charged $50.00 more in labor than was originally quoted. To top all of this , it was the manager, Jose Hernandez who waited on me. I have sent a complaint to their main office to speak to their Area Manager but have had no response. My next step.... This was my first time at this location. I've been a loyal customer at the Firestone located in Stafford off of Murphy Road. For this being my first time, I was truly amazed at the high level of customer service. The staff was polite and efficient. Although the parking lot and the waiting room were full, my wait time was minimal. I took my truck in for an oil change, and I also took my daughter's car in for an oil change and brake job. My wait time was about 30 minutes then we left for them to work on my daughter's car. The manager told me the car would be ready about 1:00, but they called and said it was ready at 11:00, which was about 2 hours from the time we dropped it off. My daughter was very happy with the job they did on her brakes. They were running a brake special for $99, and I had a coupon for the oil change. Overall, the service was great, the wait time was much shorter than what I normally experice at the other location, and the price was right. Great job Firestone! Also double check the receipt , when he told you he gave you a 20 dollars discount they actually charged you unless you find out, he would apologize and refund you the money. This is the worst auto repair place you can go to. I have a very bad experience with them. When you talked to the service adviser, he cons you into replacing all the rotors, brake pad to be brand new without showing why and just said that they won't work after repair. Then, When you paid the bill, you found out that they charged you three set of brake pads on a two axles vehicle. Talk to manager about it, he said you agree on the estimate and you had to pay for it. They are marking up auto parts price for 300%. If I don't paid, I can't get my vehicle back. UNBELIEVABLY DISHONEST! We took our 2001 Ford Mustang to this Firestone on Friday March 4. A bracket connecting our aftermarket Magnaflow exhaust to the engine had broken or come loose. Given that this was a simple repair, we took it to Firestone since it was close to where we stay in the Houston area. Several hours later, we received a phone call and were told, "You better be sitting down." The Firestone employee then proceeded to tell us that we had blown the front off our catalytic converter, and that it had to be replaced to the tune of $1,049. My husband asked how this could be since we had a stainless steel exhaust on the car, and the service guy tells us we probably blew it in a backfire and that we were "fortunate" that they had been able to locate a replacement converter so late on a Friday afternoon. My husband told him he would call back after we discussed what we wanted to do. We did not call back. We immediately went to Firestone and demanded the car back. In the meantime, I googled MagnaFlow exhaust dealers in town and found one approximately ten miles away on Bellaire. It had received a good review on Yelp, so we took the car in arriving at 4pm on a Friday. We told them we had already had the car somewhere else and were told we needed a new catalytic converter. Within 45 minutes, they called us back to say they had gone over the entire exhaust system of the car and the total repair cost -- $95 -- to repair a broken bracket connecting the car to the exhaust system. The aftermarket MagnaFlow catalytic converter looked brand new according to them, despite being installed on the car approximately 8.5 years earlier! It did not need to be replaced at all! Bottom line - we will never again take our car to ANY Firestone establishment and we will tell this story to anyone who uses them. They should be absolutely ashamed of themselves for trying to take advantage of us!! read more

When you're having your car serviced and it takes a while you may have to use the bathroom. This location's bathroom is so nasty I had to bring it to the Manager attention. The toilet was dripping with yucky stuff all over it. It's not hard to keep a bathroom clean. It's important to say that I arrived relatively around 8:45 am or so. I will not come here again.
