Was looking to do my state inspection and Google sent me there. Located at the corner of Dairy Ashford and Whittington Rds, I thought it was gonna be another car spot with greasy seats etc and barely clean. To my surprise, this place is well kept, clean and has an eclectic decor. No grease spotted chairs, no oil smells lingering in the air. The staff (Josh) was very helpful and courteous. Excellent service. My wife took our Toyota to the dealership (Don McGill) to have the oil changed. They came back saying the car needed to have the brakes serviced. They gave my wife a hard sale... our vehicle has 50K miles on it and was showing no sign of brake wear. I took it to Rod at Ashford Auto for a second opinion. He checked it out and informed me I probably have 20K miles before I will need to replace pads / rotors serviced. Ashford Auto did not charge me for the brake check. Honest, Reliable and Fair. This is our typical "friendly neighborhood garage" that everyone should be taking their vehicles in to get work done. They do everything from inspections and oil changes to larger repairs and parts replacement. I haven't taken my truck in for anything major, but during my last inspection mentioned that I was having an issue with something minor in my brakes and was hoping to confirm my guess. They took a look at the engine code whole my truck was in and told me that was probably correct, based on the other information I gave them and that a repair wouldn't take long. The chain auto shop (with three guys in the logo...) down the road was asking for over $100 to just run the same diagnostic. While they might not have the exact part in stock when you take your vehicle in (and most "chain" garages won't either), Ashford Auto are much more honest about the pricing and labor estimates. And anyways, any shop can get parts from distributors/OEMs locally or online nowadays (I've done it myself for cosmetic things), so I don't see the "advantage" of going to a dealership who will probably mark up the cost just for the "privilege" of taking your to the name brand garage. I haven't had the time to go back yet to get the part replaced but I will! read more

I can not express how grateful I am to have found them. Nissan tried to make me pay for a fuel pump I did not need. Great work and excellent customer service to match. I found my new auto needs home! Just got an oil change at this location for the first time and wow! Probably the best service experience I ever had on my car. The mechanics went above and beyond to check all my lights and fluids. One of my lights was on for years on my screen and the guy came out and said hey, we just need to reset this light for it to go away, and bam it was gone! No other technician at the other places I went to ever caught that. The office is very clean and comfortable to wait on your car to be serviced. They have coffee and water bottles in the mini fridge. The price was also great for a simple oil change. They have me as their new customer :) read more

I have a highly customized 70s muscle car and don't take it anywhere to be repaired or worked on at all unless I stay with the car. It's just my baby. These guys were hands-down one of the best, most professional, knowledgeable, and very courteous family run business. You have definitely earned my respect and my business, and will be back for sure. Even with the amount of work that Angel had to do to get my car repaired, running, and inspected properly, the bill was incredibly reasonable compared to what I normally pay for the custom work by the hot Rod shops around town. I took my car in for an inspection and oil change. I needed to check the ac but didn't have the money yet since I thought I had to buy a compressor. I was told that with the mileage of my car I probably didn't need a compressor. He explained that I probably just needed Freon. He said he would check it for free and he was right. He printed a car fax report and let me know what maintenance I needed and which one I didn't need. Excellent service. read more

I love supporting small businesses when I can. And I have refrained from leaving this family a bad review for many years. But after multiple instances where the owner or his wife are so shady, it's time to speak up. They will up charge you if you do not get a quoted price before they start working on your car. Make sure to leave an get a second opinion on ANY and ALL work he is offering. Because he will say more is messed up than what actually is. I have gone here for oil changes and he says "oh I had to use an extra gallon, or it was premium oil". But I don't need premium oil I'm my car. The only thing he is good for is your anual registration sticker since that is a state regulated fee. However, I have gone to him because he is conveniently close to my neighborhood, and I always end up leaving because of his ridiculous pricing. Then I go to different mechanics who all tell me those same things are fine and charge me less than half of his costs. Oh, and call before going because it seems like his mechanic is hardly ever present anyway. read more
