I came in a couple days prior to get the front two tires replaced on my truck. The gentleman in the front asked if I could drop it off, being a company vehicle and my only transportation I asked to schedule an appointment two days later at 1pm. I then come back on that day and am on time for the appointment. I waited about 30 minutes then he stated he was waiting on approval from the fleet services. Had he said that at the beginning I could've had it approved in 5 minutes. I called and had it approved so now it's 1:35pm. Then I proceeded to wait from 1:35pm to 2:45 pm and they just had pulled the truck in but not even started working on it. At 2:50 pm I asked the gentleman how long it was going to be because I had class at 4pm. He then had a tech stop what he was doing to start working on my wheels and stated it would be ready in 20 minutes. It is now 3:30pm and only one tire has been completed. Remember I have class at 4pm and I've been waiting almost 3 hours now. My question is, why even make an appointment for 1pm if they don't even pull it in just to not even start working on it at 2:40 pm? Very unprofessional, very disorganized and a huge lack of communication as well. I'll never bring any vehicle here and will never recommend Firestone again. read more

Called to check and see if I was good to drop my car off for service tomorrow. Guy was so rude on the phone I decided to cancel the appointment. Man can't even handle a 30 second phone call without getting lippy I definitely wouldn't trust him with my car 0 stars if it were possible Also - saw the owner is Jenifer. I have been coming to this location since 2017 and have come to trust their service. As a single female, I am always unsure about mechanics. Despite what I've read on previous reviews of this location, my experience with firestone on bannister has always been positive, honest, and trustworthy. I've never brought my car in for one thing and given a list if other things to repair. If something is broken, they show me what is broken and how it works. I had to have some work done recently on my car that this location couldn't do for me, so my car got transferred to the grandview location. They did the worst to my car and piled on half a dozen "urgent issues". Then my check engine light came on a couple days later. I brought my car back here to bannister to have them work on it since I trust them. The other location failed to reconnect hoses and left parts of my new clutch unattached! I was appalled and my service guys on bannister were so amazing and helpful. They took care of the issues, told me what wasn't an issue and told me what was actually an issue. And they fixed all the crappy work the other shop did at no cost to me. I trust these guys on Bannister and they have never given me a reason to doubt them. Geoff is an amazing manager and i'm so sorry to the mechanic that worked with me on my last visit there, I don't remember your name but I'll update this post as soon as i find your card so everyone knows your name. Came in for oil change and get a screw pulled out of a tire. Low air light on, so just waited to air it up since I was bringing it in. Guy comes in tells me there is no screw and the air pressure is perfect on all tires. Told him that's not true. Dude literally said.. "Well someone's smoking something. There's no screw." I dread having to deal with anything car-related that requires speaking to mechanics. I usually tend to service work done at local non-sales focused establishments. This place exceeded my expectations and has my auto-repair business for the foreseeable future. This location has the friendliest, most professional, and expert team who go out of your way to put you at ease, and provide transparency in every interaction. They work quickly and conscientiously, providing updates at each step. There is no hard sell. I repeat, NO HARD SELL OR PRESSURE. How hard is it to change out a couple of brake lights? Extremely difficult, apparently. First of all, the entire ordeal lasted close to two hours. I'm going to repeat that: two hours for a couple of brake lights--and no, I wasn't a walk-in. I had an appointment. Even when you consider the common excuse of 'we're running behind,' I think two hours is pushing it. Then there's the whole issue of Firestone's little estimate/upsell policy. You know the one: you've been sitting in the waiting room for about an hour, and then you're called over to the desk so someone can tell you all the problems you have with your car and it's going to cost $800 to fix. 'Sir, it appears your floor mats are expired, and you're going to need a new windshield. The one you have now is dirty.' Obviously, I jest a little here, but a laundry list of 'problems' was presented to me, at which point, I was like, 'That's nice, but did you change out my lights yet?' Cue: potential upsell. Seriously, I came in for one specific thing. Not a 52-point inspection. Not an alignment. Not new tires. Lights, dude. I came in for lights. Firestone took a simple 10-minute job and dragged it out for nearly two hours. I probably won't be going back. read more

Overall a pleasant experience. Went in for an oil change on a Saturday morning and was in and out in under 30 minutes, without an appointment. The lady at the front desk was very friendly. She said they would do a complimentary check of all the fluids and tire pressure, I've always assumed that checking that was always part of the process, but maybe you have to ask for a tune-up rather than just an oil change. Facilities were clean and they had a tv an complimentary coffee. At $42 this is by far the most expensive oil change I've had so far, specially since the checkup was complimentary. I wouldn't mind returning because they are close and its a convenient location for me, and the overall experience was good. To me that offsets some of the high price. read more

Called in advance to ensure they weren't busy as I didn't have too much time, they told me an oil change would be quick. Another woman was taken care of before me because they "thought I was dropping my car off" even though they didn't ask, then they couldn't even manage to turn my oil change light off so I had to turn around. DO NOT GO HERE. My car was having overheating issues and this place was the closest place to my work so I decided to come here. They initially offered a routine overheat check. Fair enough. They call me back and tell me that the radiator fan assembly needs to be replaced, which would cost around $600. I asked them if this was the actual cause and if it would fix the issue. They told me that it can't be anything else and that this would definitely fix the issue. So I went ahead and got it replaced by them. After then, I started my car and drove back home. While on the way back, lo and behold, the car started overheating again. I decided to instead go to an actual dealer and they told me that not only was my issue never actually the radiator fan assembly, that the actual issue would have been found out by any blind mechanic (it was air pockets that was causing the issue). Oh and guess what? These guys didn't even bother connecting the fan assembly properly! The dealer told me these guys essentially left some bolts loose and the thing was literally hanging! Furthermore, the dealer told me that the price they charged me was about 300% marked up. What would have cost me $200 anywhere else, these guys charged me $600. Save your self the trouble and never go here or to any Firestone ever again. read more
