Also they try to say dealership parts only, but called their own source fisher auto and they had the whole assembly for strut and shock. Calling corporate to remedy the crazy 1 year of a problem i kept saying what I thought it was, 5k later not fixed and brought to WAY better shop. Was what I said. A coil.. easy test and basic knowledge. Said codes that were not correct. Idk how that happens.. Realizing that I needed two new tires, I made an appointment at Firestone to have them replaced. I got to the location as they were opening and the Manager was pleasant even before morning coffee! lol! One of his techs looked at the car and indicated that tread on all four was good but would need change soon. I decided to go with all four and Manager recommended best tire with great value within a good price range. Within 90 minutes, car was set to go and overall...great experience at Firestone! ! read more

Outstanding experience with Nathan. He went above and beyond helping us out on a Sunday. We got a flat tire in Woodshole and couldn't find anyone to help us until we called Nathan at Firestone. He tried talking us through changing our tire and putting a doughnut on (our tires were not readily available). We could not find the key for our wheel lock. Therefore, we needed to be towed to Firestone in North Dartmouth. This took unusually long, Nathan kept reassuring us that he would wait. We finally arrived at 7:30pm, hours after he was closed. He was there and helped us. To top it off, there was no charge. We were out of there around 8pm and were able to drive home which was about 4 hours away. He advised us not to go faster than 60 and said we would be alright. I cannot thank Nathan enough. He saved the day. Without him we would have never gotten home that night. Four new tires installed. Immediately upon leaving several dashboard lights on. Went by 8am next day after calling and explaining the issue. They took my car in at 8:42 am (they were the ones who told me to come in at 8). ABS speed sensor needs to be replaced to the tune of $334.66. Spoke with manager he said absolutely not their fault, just a coincidence that all this happened right after bringing it there - after I had brought it to my mechanic who said they more likely than not damaged it. He did offer 25% discount. That's all for now, off to buy a lottery ticket, hope I get as lucky. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

(If Anyone uses Firestone near Lowes in North Dartmouth. (((((( Be Aware )))))) They cut my splash guard to get to my oil drain and filter witch caused my car to have electrical problems. Do to water getting in. There a bunch of scammers. They tried to get us to replace our windshield wipers when we had just bought a pair of rain-x windshield wipers. I have come to Firestone for the last year for a variety of services. Unfortunately, I will not be coming back. The gentlemen working out front are generally kind and personable, but I've gotten inconsistent reports about what is wrong with my vehicle--one time, they told me I needed new struts but I was unable to get them at that time. The next time, they said there was nothing wrong/I didn't need anything done and that they did not hear a troubling noise that I'd heard. Their wait times also tend to be very long even when I have an appointment and am just getting the oil changed. The most upsetting part is that today, I had an oil change by a different mechanic closer to my home. This mechanic showed me the air filter that Firestone had supposedly replaced 5 months ago. It was black and had been in upside down. I am very disappointed and don't usually write negative reviews but feel it is warranted here. read more

Walked into the shop at 4:50 PM today. Technician was going over the repairs made to the customer's car. Waited 10 minutes. No problem. The customer says goodbye, and the tech tells him if he needs anything else, get it done now, because he won't be there much longer. He tells the customer that even though firestone doesn't know, He applied for a job and will be leaving. And then proceeds to chat with the customer for another 10-15 minutes about his new job opportunity while i stood there waiting to be helped. Walked out at about 5:20 PM without even an "I'll be right with you." I think Firestone might have lucked out losing this guy. read more

I am grateful that I was able to get a walk-in appointment. I was told I needed new tires but I am always skeptical of those recommendations when at a place that wants to sell you tires (it would have been nice to actually see the wear that they were talking about) but my car was acting janky and so I purchased two new tires. My car was performing great after the tire change so I guess they were right! I would give them 5 stars but they were understaffed in the front office and were paying more attention to folks calling in which added some wait time that I feel could/should have been avoided. I expect that the wait time will be okay next time and YES I will go back for service. read more

DO NOT USE THIS SHOP!!! I brought the car in because the battery light came on. They replaced a relatively new battery and the alternator for $500! 2 months later, the battery sensor came on again. I brought it in again (stupidly). They looked at it for 2 hours, never called me to let me know they were done, then told me "we are going to need a lot more diagnosis time because we don't know what's wrong with it". The lesson is, they are ripping people off, or very simply don't know what that are doing. DO NOT USE THIS SHOP!!! read more

Had an AC problem. Brought car in and got quote for about $1,000. After work was completed AC did not work after new compressor was installed, then was told I needed a new computer chip. I was originally guaranteed the work would be completed for original quote. Then I was quoted another $1,000 which would include buying and getting the computer chip and installing and labor would be "intensive". Shame on you Firestone for not keeping your word on the original deal. read more

I have been going to this place for my oil changes and routine maintenance of my 2013 Subaru Outback for few years now. Sometimes there was long time waiting, but the quality of work was always excellent. For the past several months I had occasional annoying rattling of heat shield coming from underneath, which resisted attempts for fixing with zip ties, wires and such. I just mentioned it to Bob at my last oil change and lo and behold - noise was gone, at no extra charge! I was told that it was Walter who worked on the car. Thanks, guys. read more

After leaving the Fall River location and being told Swansea was too busy I can here to the Dartmouth location. No problems was told within 30 minutes my car would be completed. I also know I need my bank one sensor one replaced and asked if they would do it. I was told customers cannot supply their own parts. I did advise I buy my own parts as they will over charge me on parts. That was true and he understood. They will not be doing that. read more

We brought my wifes car here for new tires. Within a few hours we got the money grab call. They said she needed new struts and sway bar. Adding that it will create wear and tear on transmission. Knowing how these places work I refused all service. They really tried hard to get us to spend an extra 1,000 dollars adding it would fit on the credit card we just opened there to get 10% off tires. Again I refused. Once we left my wife still heard the noise that brought us to get tires. Long story short. I brought it to my mechanic, not only was the sway bar and struts fine, but had we had the work done it wouldn't of fixed the problem that was causing the noise. THEY ARE SCAM ARTIST, AVOID FIRESTONE AT ALL COST. THEY ARE DISHONEST AND TRY TO GET YOU TO PAY FOR UNNECESSARY WORK. I got the noise fixed for 300 dollars through my mechanic, instead of spending 1,000 dollars with firestone on unnecessary repairs that would of fixed nothing. BUYER BEWARE! read more

I purchased wheels and tires on TireRack and had them shipped to this Firestone location. It was easy to schedule an appointment over the phone and the entire experience was very good from start to finish. The staff were helpful and friendly through all communication. They were careful with my vehicle and, unlike many other shops, left everything in my car exactly how I had it when it came in. My seats and mirrors were untouched. They even noticed that one of my lug nuts had gotten dropped after I left and reached out to me to let me know and put it aside for me to pickup. Absolutely worst service. My husband came here today to get winter tires put on. He was told to come in at 9 am this morning for an appointment. Perfect. Comes in and is told that they do not have his tires in stock EVEN THOUGH online said they had them. The salesman calls another store says they are going to be transported from Marlboro to there at 3pm. 3pm hit and the truck driver wasn't there. He (truck driver) told Them he would arrive by 4pm....NOTHING. The salesman calls the driver and he does not answer his calls. Now mind you my husband has been there since 9AM and he had to travel over an hour to get to Firestone. They ended up putting the Summer tires back on the car (8 hours later) as no tires have been put on my husband's car. No answers are being given. Nothing! We have to travel back home tonight and out of state tomorrow into tuesday and we cannot get tires put on (he has summer tires). This is totally unprofessional. We have never been to a place like this and I hope the higher ups see this. We will NEVER have anything done from this company again. We were supposed to go Christmas shopping and had plans for today and because of this, the whole day was ruined! read more

Good people here with a clean waiting area. They are next to my vet's, and they let me bring the dogs in with me while we wait. They keep records of what they've done before and don't try to give me endless upsells. Fast and good oil change; have gotten tires and other stuff here in the past. Not sure if he's the owner or manager but very nice main guy who gets it all done. read more

Been coming here for a while but I'll be stopping. Less than impressed. Today I got a nail in my tire (which I purchased from firestone) so came in to have it looked at as I was on my way out of state on a road trip. Called them ahead of time to let them know the problem and was hoping they would just look at it and maybe patch it quickly (part of my warranty). they stated that they were understaffed and it may not be as quick as I wanted. I felt I was rushed into leaving my car with them and when asked if it would be faster to just put my spare on, they said it would take as long as patching. So we left and killed about an hour waiting for our call. When we came back, my car was in the work area but all I saw were employees sitting on their phones. We came in and they told us they could not repair the tire and I had to buy a new one. I'm not sure how long before I got in they noticed this but unfortunately I don't think it was right before I walked in and I feel I deserved a call as soon as they realized this as I'm now waiting longer for the new tire to go on. All this while they know we are on our way out of town. The men at the front desk seem pretty aggravated with everything (I'm sure being understaffed is aggravating) and I feel could have been more helpful and attentive. If you're understaffed and busy, your employees shouldn't be on their phones and talking to their girlfriends in the parking lot. read more

I'm sure this will be taken down but recently I had a issue with my tire having play. I brought it to Firestone and I was told I needed a lower control arm and wheel bearing replacement. They told me it was $850 worth of work and parts. Thank god I decided to check autozone for the parts myself (witch is usually where Firestone will get them) they tried charging me 135 for the bearing that cost me 40 buying from the same place. And 279 for a $140 control arm. I'm pretty mechanically inclined so I decided to do the work myself. Took me about 6 hours and with buying all parts and a few simple hand tools I needed and taking advantage of autozones loan a tool program (it's free you pay for the tools and get it back when they are returned. I just floated them on my credit card) I had only spent $265... That's less than what they were charging me for the control arm. Moral of the story but your own parts and bring them to a town mechanic who isn't going to rip you off. Yelp is a great way to find trustworthy mechanics if you don't know anyone who will change a fair price. Unlike Firestone who will triple the price on parts literally then change you crazy amounts for labor. I gave a 2 star instead of 1 because the staff were extreamly nice. The manager did try to cut the price down but it was mainly enough to double the money off parts instead of triple. read more

Terrible service. I called at 1:40pm to and asked how busy they were, stating that I could be there at 2:15 but would need to be able to leave by 3:30pm to be in Boston at 5 for a commitment. I said I'd come another day if they didn't think I'd be done by 3:30, and all I needed was a tire rotation and balance and to have two of them looked at which may have had a slow leak. At 4:15pm I was still waiting with no updates. Finally I was told that the plug on one of my tires was done poorly and wasn't fixable. I was told that my other tire had a nail in it too close to the rim that company policy wouldn't allow them to fix it. They told me I needed 2 new tires and that they hadn't balanced, rotated, or fixed anything in the 2+ hours that I had been waiting there. I immediately asked to have my car keys so that I could leave and for a refund for the $75 that they were going to originally charge me. I am a younger female and often worry of being taken advantage of at places like this, but the most frustrating thing was that I was told that I would be out at a certain time and then spent 2 hours waiting for them to tell me that my tires were damaged. The dude must have been taking a nap instead of examining my tires and letting me leave way earlier than I did. It was a complete waste of my time, and I will never go there again. read more
