I called and asked if they have anytime to replace a simple part that needed replacing and of course they require a bumper to bumper inspection... They told me that they had availability at 2pm, so it was a good idea to bring it in as soon as possible. I brought it in just before noon. I spent 6 hours at the mall, waiting for a call. I only got an update when I called them at 6:10pm. They said the mechanic just got under my car. I told them, "okay, I will walk back over." They called back a couple minutes later and said "they were able to start it, but not finish it. So do you want to leave it overnight with us?" I said, "haha, no, because I need to get home... so if you guys can just put the car parts back and then I will bring it back tomorrow... that would be great. They said "okay." I get back there and said I was there to pick up my car and "it was my mistake to not take that 2pm appointment, so I want to set up an appointment for tomorrow." Another guy walked in and said, "oh, your car isn't drivable. Did Sean not tell you?" I said, "No, the only time I got an update was when *I* called you." He said, "oh, yeah, the whole shifting cable needs to be replaced and we can't even call about that until Monday because it's a dealership part." First of all, I don't usually go to this mechanic because the last time I was there (which was over 5 years ago) they were super condescending to me and I left there in tears. I only came back here because it was the closest mechanic to me that was open on a Saturday. Secondly, I told them I had an appointment to replace my front brakes, and they nicely offered me a sale on their brakes, which I was going to take since the only thing I came in for was a simple bushing replacement. The guy who I dropped my car off with was nice and is the only reason this isn't a 1 star rating. Third, I don't know how mechanic hours work, but why start a bumper to bumper inspection if you can't finish the job? Because I drove the car there just fine, they MADE IT not driveable. So because of them, I had to walk home because the only person who could help me was in Rome at the time and I wasn't going to take an Uber because I need to save up all the money I can in order to afford this mechanic bill that I expect is going to cost around $500 based on a quick google search on how much a shifting cable costs, not to mention, labor... I won't return to Firestone again. I can see why they have such a low rating on here. Should have listened to by gut and not gone back. A friend of mine who works security at the mall also said Firestone will keep the security vehicle at the garage for over a week sometimes, and they need that security vehicle for their job. I went in to ask about a tire for my vehicle. I had already looked ot up on the website, and knew the price was $127.99, the out the door price was as stated on the website quote $154.64. When I ask the lady at the front desk to look up the tire she quoted me $365.00. I then told her about the website price of 154.64 out the door. She laughed and said there's absolutely no way you saw that. I was in the process of looking ot up on the website. She kept talking over me, saying how wrong I was. I said if you are going to Call me a liar, then I'm leaving. I called to ask for the manager, she answered and gave the phone to the other guy that was standing at front desk. He answered acting like the manager. I ask if he was the store manager he said no. He said the store manager wouldn't be there until Tuesday morning. I don't appreciate being called a liar, just so they can price gouge. Worst firestone store in the state. I know because I have done business with 90% of them over the past 35 years. The Firestone on chenal has never jerked me around or screwed me over near as much as this location. 1) my first truck had a wheel bearing that needed to be replaced and after paying about 700 for that it broke anyways because they installed it wrong. 2) I had a tire pop and they charged me about 250 for it, the lady at the desk had a bad attitude, asked no questions or anything just took my key said they'd call me 'around late afternoon maybe' and then didn't even call me. Had I not decided to call when we got close to close I just wouldn't have gotten my car back. I'm not saying all firestorms are bad but this location especially is subpar on a good day. My van needed a new wheel bearing on our way through Little Rock and even though these guys were swamped they made sure to fit us in. Dana was THE BEST and kept us in the loop the few hours we waited and even offered to watch my dogs while we grabbed lunch car troubles are no fun, but I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy every second in that waiting room with Dana. Dishonest that sums up my experience at this place. I had a screw in one of the tires, was told that they could not repair it due to the location of the screw. However they would sell me a tire for $194, yes it's a Range Rover vehicle however that does not mean we are swimming in money. Took it over to Discount Tires down on Warden in NLR and they saved the day. Nice young man greeted us invited us in the waiting area for free coffee or cold beverage, came back with in minutes and demonstrated the screw I think a thumb tack might be bigger then than the screw he removed with no struggle. He tested my tire and no leak of air, if it did they would have repaired it for Free!!! Firestone highly disappointed in the shady unethical business you are running!!!! Had my daughter take her car in to check on the power steering pump. 1200 dollars later and everything except the pump was worked on. Pump is still leaking. First of all I dropped the vehicle of on 3/16/2021 and was told it would it would take a couple of hours it was 3 days before it was repaired. I was quoted a price of $508 for brake repairs and the services I authorized. The only estimate I received was for a Car Care Maintenance for $21.99 which I didn't even authorize and when I finally picked up my vehicle the charge was $1147. I asked to speak with Dana whom I had spoke with to authorize the repairs I was told she would be out until Monday so I would have to leave my vehicle until then. Another 2 days; to add insult to injury I was charged $41.89 to have a bulb changed which was not done. Horrible customer service. Would give ZERO stars if allowed. Have been extremely disappointed 3/4 times (4 times out of necessity) at the McCain Blvd, NLR, AR location. Most recently at 4:30PM, Sat 3/16/19 with a screw in my Bridgestone 22" tire that I had purchased at this very location with additional road hazard. Standing face to face with the very polite and professional older gentleman at the counter, he caught Paul, the service mgr, coming through the lobby and asked him if they could take care of me. Paul immediately and rudely screamed at him (right in front of me) "Only if you want to be here until 9!" (closing time was 7PM - a full 2&1/2 hours before closing), then stormed outside. Both of us stood there in disbelief for a moment, then the gentleman told me "I guess not". I followed Paul outside and told him I would absolutely never be back and he in a smart-ass tone told me "Sorry you feel that way sir". My wife called the Cantrell Rd, LR, AR location and Jay, the mgr, told her to send me right away. I drove 20+ minutes away (when the NLR location is 300 yards from my home) and Jay personally took care of me on the spot. He could not have been more professional, polite, and accommodating. I cannot imagine a business that sells and installs a product, also sells the repair service for that product, that refuses to service the product it sold, for a fee!; nor a business that cares not how much business it has. OK, follow-up: Both corp customer service (emailed me) and Chaz (sp?), store manager, called me personally and discussed incident. He was courteous and professional and told me he had investigated and was handling internally. I am pleased with the response of concern and changed to 3 stars. It still put me and my family in a potentially severe predicament but that's all I can ask for. I commend a company that will listen, as many don't. read more

I had a 4pm appointment. I was 10 minutes early because I had never been to this Firestone. Dana the service advisor did not ask my name nor dis she ask for any information which was the first NO NO. Now I have the wrong name on my paper work and the wrong address. Then they proceed to make my experience WORST. They left the oil cap off my and oil is all over the hood of my car and my car was so loud that I new something was wrong. I rushed home to find the oil cap off and oil all over the hood. I called immediately the next morning and she did not fix the issue she just forwards me to the manger which was ok but if DANA messed up from the start why would she not want to correct it. BEWARE! Run away from this place as fast as you can. Very unprofessional and complete scam artists. They took our money for repairs they claim to have performed only to leave the shop with major issues that had not been repaired as they claimed. When questioned about the repairs, these "professionals" pointed out that they had no mechanic on staff qualified to do the actual repairs needed for our vehicle. If that is the case, then why do they charge people for procedures they cannot and did not actually perform? We will NEVER use Firestone again and I will spend the rest of my days telling as many people as I can about this horrible experience. If it were possible to give a zero star rating, that would be my choice. There are so many better, honest, professional mechanics available in the central Arkansas area. Choose wisely. read more

Dana is AMAZING!!!!! This woman is a saint and i don't know what she makes but i promise it isn't enough for all she does. I bought new tires, rims and a warranty at a different Firestone location and they forgot to give me the special key for the special lug nuts and special rims they put on my wheels. Well now I'm out of town (in AR from TX) and need to get my tire off and this location doesn't have they key. Called the original Firestone and they said "good luck, not our problem." But I'm glad to have Dana in my corner and have someone that understands that i spent $2k to make sure this wouldn't be my problem... so now she's literally jumping through hoops to fix another locations mistakes. She's amazing and has definitely restored my faith in the fact that it's not the company... it's the people. I would send anyone of my friends or family to THIS NLR location any day. Well this is probably my 12th visit this year here, every single time service is horrible except 1 time I actual had someone with a brain! They have approximately 12 employees yet only 1 or two actual know what they are doing, service is crap, you can schedule a appt and then they will get to it 3 hours after appt, you can talk to one person and they will say they can't help you , then call back and the next person says they can and don't know why someone said they couldn't! This place is a joke a cruel joke, chaz the "manager" is helpful but he lacks caring and it's impossible for him to function properly with 10 employees who lie to customers or just provide entirely poor customer service or just who have no ideal what they are doing. Time for me to complain at the counter again it's been 1 hour 17 mins for a scheduled appt and my vehicle still hasn't been brought back into the bay yet! They need to just close this place down and retrain everyone I'm talking at least a one month training program with heavy emphasis on fleet vehicles and customer service! The service was fine at the time of my oil change and tire rotation. It wasn't until my next oil change (at a different place) that I was told my drain plug was oversized and they couldn't remove it. Firestone had stripped the threads on the drain and replaced it with a bigger plug without telling me. This now greatly limits where I can change my oil. read more

This is my last trip to this particular Firestone Service Center (McCain mall). I first brought my Saturn here after the dealerships all closed down and the service was good. I could drop off my car and the work would be done quickly and well, usually ahead of the time they told me it would be done. My last few trips things have just gotten progressively worse. At first it was little things like losing the fuse box cover after resetting the oil service light, then it was failing to rotate the tires even though I bought the lifetime rotate and balance package and then telling me it was my fault for not rotating them when two of them wore out before the 70,000 tire warranty. Today I called in at ten and specified that I wanted an oil change and rotation done and was told that if I could get the car in before noon it should be done around three. When I got there at eleven I was told it might be four instead. Wen I stopped by at three to see if it was still on schedule I was told yes, and it would be the next one in the bay, but it might be four-fifteen. At four-fifteen my car still hadn't been touched. When I asked about it I was told they just didn't have enough mechanics to keep up Witt the workload, which would have been nice to know at ten in the morning and I wouldn't have wasted my day. With all the time I spent getting my car to them to work on and checking on it I could have done the oil and rotation myself, even the balancing of the tires if I had the equipment. From now on I will just change my on oil and get the rotate and balance work done at a different Firestone center until the "lifetime" warranty (life of the tires) runs out. I also doubt I'll purchase anymore lifetime warranty work through them again. After buying that "lifetime" package I've had nothing but trouble getting them to honor it. read more
