My 19 yo college student made appointment and drove from Maryville to St. Joseph for an inspection. After her drive and scheduling a friend to accompany her, she was told upon arrival that they wouldn't be able to get to her inspection today. NOT because they didn't have a staff but because they were too busy. NOT OUR PROBLEM! they accepted her appointment and then expected her to leave her car over 45 minutes and miles away. They knew she was from Maryville and that this was an inconvenience and they just did not care. The manager said it wasn't his problem because he didn't accept her appointment someone else did. Our family has LONG trusted Firestone but we will for sure not be going to a business that was so ready to strand a teenage girl without any options because they didn't feel that her appointment was important enough to provide her the service! I am SO grateful to the folks at Firestone Complete Auto Care in St Joseph! I was visiting the city this past weekend when my car got a flat tire from a nail in the tread. The mechanic who provided me with roadside assistance directed me to Firestone. Although it was a Saturday afternoon, Nick gladly took my call and said they'd be happy to help out. I explained that, since a different tire had been low on air the day before, I'd love to have all my tires checked. Thankfully, since Firestone is open 7 days a week, I could leave it at the shop overnight and pick it up the next day (Firestone is located just 0.5 miles from the Drury Inn, where I was staying, so it was an easy 10-minute walk). True to their word, I was able to drop off my car at 5 pm on Saturday and it was ready to be picked up by 10 am on Sunday! Trey was the friendly young man who assisted me at the counter on both days, and Samuel was the technician who took care of my car. They were able to repair my flat tire for under 25 bucks and provided a courtesy check of the other three tires at no charge. What GREAT service! MANY thanks to Nick, Trey, Samuel and all the other folks at Firestone who take SUCH good care of their customers! I appreciate you all! read more

Was quoted $915 to change 6 spark plugs! This place is an absolute rip off and always has been. They think people are stupid. For this job, six spark plugs, which cost $75. An intake manifold gasket, which cost $35. Coil boots, $15.. That's $125 foot parts. So Firestone is going to charge me $790 labor to change my plugs?!?!?! You guys are clowns read more

Another update. They have since blocked me from their emails and phone line. Nearly two months later they have ignored me hoping I would go away. Key points. -They ruined my car, the computer more specifically. -The car was so messed up it wrecked into a poll next to a gas pump at 35 mph. (HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN??) -Beecause it was wrecked, specialists would not be able to determine if the wreck was caused by a messed up computer ( power steering and cruise control ) -unable to prove that the computer was messed up, Bridgestone exonerated themselves from their own investigation (Convinient right?) -I was urged to go to the Er by Bridgestone, and Ashley that they would pay my bills. They refuse to do so now. Takeaway: Obviously I'm filing a lawsuit. if they fu@k up your car, you will have to be able to prove it was them who caused the malfunction. If you cannot prove this, you will be shut off and ignored. I spent $1200.00 to lose my only car for a family of 5, receive thousands of dollars in hospital bills, be labeled a scammer, and ultimately disregarded and threatened by the te executives. Went in for breaks and was quoted 600$ when I left without breakers done grease was smeared on my door and seat. When I asked to have it cleaned I received negative attitude . He's smears the grease around on the door and called it good. Still have grease on my door. If I could have left no stars I would have. read more

Oil changes went from $75 on two previous occasions and was just charged $125 after a $15 coupon. WHAT???? This was just a simple oil change service. Had the first appointment of the day, to be in and out, which took 45 minutes before they pulled it into the shop. Two other oil changes came in during this time for later oil changes as mine just pulled into the shop.. I just went out to top off my vehicles windshield washers with fluid. I started with this car, just serviced. One gallon of windshield washer fluid and still not full. At $125 and didn't even fill up the fluid. Never going back again..... read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE! I took my car to this Firestone for service. The following day when I drove off 30 minutes later my car went up in smoke and is now undriveable. As part of the service they replaced some parts. After my car died and I was forced to look for a new vehicle, I contacted the business to refund the parts that were issued to me as I could no longer use them, they refused. I don't know about the rest of you but to me this is very poor business practice and service. I'd advise you to look elsewhere for any type of service on your cars. I'm hesitant to trust any Firestone again after this saga. read more

I had an inspection appointment at 11:30. I arrived on time. They told me it is going to take an hour to do inspection which surprised me. I went ahead and had lunch across the street. At 12.10 I returned and my car was still waiting outside. I asked one of the gentleman who was sitting in waiting area and he said they got tire truck and they needed to unload. At 12.15 finally someone showed up and I asked them when they going to work on my car. They said they will start at 12:30. I told them that I needed to return work and asked for my keys. I am never coming back. This was my first time here. It is very unprofessional to give appointment and not servicing on time. read more

I wanted to give a positive shout out to the St. Joseph Firestone. I moved here last summer (2019) without knowing a soul. Not sure where to take my Dodge Ram, I tried out Firestone. They have repeatedly performed timely work at an excellent price, even checking in a concern I had without any charge. Today they did an oil change, state vehicle inspection & complete pre-road trip vehicle check for only $100 & change! I rolled in at 3:30pm on a Saturday with a flat tire. It went flat at the mall across the street and I slowly drove it over to the shop hoping they could help me last minute in a weekend. When I got there everyone was very nice and professional and luckily they had space and time to help me. My tire was old and too damaged so I needed to buy a new tire but the price was great and it drives better than what it did before! They made sure it drove nice before I left. Let me preface this with, they were unable to service our vehicle, but this is a testament to the customer service we recieved. My boyfriend and I were traveling across country from NC to CA, with everything we own (new duty station for USMC) when we noticed something was hanging off our trailer. We stopped to look at it and noticed we had completely lost a wheel, lugs and all, and it tore off our fender. We immediately started to look for the nearest places to possibly replace it, and Firestone was right there. They were unable to help us, but the gentleman spent a good 20 minutes of his time trying to find a place that could help us on a Saturday on a holiday weekend. Which he did successfully. I dropped my car of Tuesday afternoon and was told it would be a couple hours and that they would call me when it was done. I called for a couple days off and on and couldn't get anyone to answer, It just hung up after so many rings. I go in Friday morning and it's still sitting in the parking lot with the spare tire still on it. They said the paperwork and my keys went to the wrong slot , whatever that means. Brought in car for low driver's side rear tire. Was told that the tire was not repairable and said replacement of the single tire was not possible since it was 4-wheel drive. Was told the damage (nail) to the tire was too close to tire wall. Was quoted $700-900 for a new set of tires since the "wear" on the good tires was too worn. Found out the diagnostic was completely false and the tire was completely repairable. The nail was about 3 inches from the tire wall, which is completely repairable by a reputable tire service company. Was given misleading and false information in order to sell me an entirely new set of tires on a vehicle that only had 12,000 miles. Will NEVER do business with Firestone again!!! read more

When you place a phone call because you have an issue. I called Firestone tire and I asked them if they have any of the certain tires that I needed. And I was quoted a price on the phone and told yes we have the product in stock. I showed up less than an hour later and not just do they not even carry the product that they quoted on the phone they did not honor the price that they offered over the phone. I have been a Firestone customer for years. This is definitely not the Firestone I knew in Oregon. read more

I have been a Firestone customer for more then 20 years, but now have grave thoughts about continuing. We just had some brake work done on our work vehicle and the customer service was horrible. We were over charged, (as was the customer in front of us), and taken advantage of. The manager made us feel like we did not take good care of our car and let it get run down so we had a "lot" of things wrong. We have always done out maintenance checks as we need this vehicle. We started out at 600 dollars then they checked to see what our balance was on our CC and next thing you know everything was wrong and guess what our bill came up to 1350, the credit on the card was 1400. We asked for the parts they changed out and I sent pictures of the parts to a friend of mine in another city and asked if they were still good. He runs a Ford dealership maintenance department, he said the parts were not in that bad of shape. We will never go back to this Firestone. read more
