Last weekend my husband and I both brought it our cars around 9am when they opened. I had an appointment, while my husband decided to drop his off as a work-in since a loud screeching noise became apparent. We waited about 10 minutes before being addressed by the service rep, although we were the first appointment of the day. (There were no other customers in the shop.) The service rep assured us that my husbands car inspection would be worked in throughout the day before closing. Its now 1pm and I have yet to be called that my car is ready from its scheduled oil change at 9am. (4 hours after my appointment time.) I call the shop and they confirm my car is ready for pickup. About 10 minutes later I get another call from another guy saying my car is ready for pickup. (clear lack of communication on their end.) My scheduled oil change should not take 4 hours, I was the first appointment of the day. Its now 4:40pm and the shop closes at 5pm, we have yet to be called about my husbands car. We give them a call and the service rep puts us on hold for 10 minutes, we hang up because we now need to leave our house to go get the car so it doesn't get stuck their after they close. Upon arrival at 4:55 we stand waiting to be helped for 10 minutes. (we noticed a new Tesla outside with a flat tire, which we heard they had no appointment for.) When the service rep is ready to help us he confirms that my husbands car was never looked at today. (with no remorse.) As he is discussing this, we see the new Tesla outside getting wheeled in and lifted up to replace the flat tire it has. Firestone clearly prioritised a higher paying job (new tire), over our $10 full car inspection to identify the issue on our car. At no point throughout the day were we notified that my husbands car would be unable to be worked in. I used to have wonderful experiences at this Firestone , but this experience was extremely disappointing. We spent an entire day dealing with something that should have lasted a couple hours. There is a clear lack of communication among the staff and with the customer as well. Seems like they are over booking themselves and choosing whatever cars will make them the most $$. read more

Our experience at this location is unfortunately very mixed, but has recently been dramatically less than what would generally be expected from an auto care facility. We have had routine maintenance as well as new tire services in the past without any major concerns, however, on our most recent visit for an oil change and tire rotation things really went downhill. First of all, we dropped our car off when as one of the first appointments when they opened; around 5 hours went by and we hadn't heard from the shop. That seemed a little inordinate for an oil change and tire rotation so we called and were made aware that the tire rotation couldn't be completed because the wheel lock was not able to be located. As we do not do any of our own service or maintenance on our vehicles and the last place to do anything (for several services) with the vehicle was Firestone, it stands to reason the part was lost or misplaced during the previous service. The service advisor, Allison was reluctantly understanding but agreed to reimburse us for the wheel lock when we got it fitted and ordered as the part is vehicle specific and the style has to be matched. We took the car home, a few miles from the shop, and did not drive it again for a couple days. When my boyfriend came home from work a few days later, the car was billowing black smoke and reeked of burning oil. After a quick internet search with results suggesting the dipstick may be ajar, we checked the engine compartment and there was no dipstick at all! They had not replaced it after the oil change. Allison handled ordering and replacing the dipstick as well without issue and she should be commended for keeping her composure and professionalism the entire time, even when my boyfriend lost his temper and unleashed his frustrations on her. Allison definitely earned the second star with her customer service. The experience has definitely made us apprehensive to return for routine maintenance in the future, and certainly not for larger services, but hope these were isolated incidents and do not represent the standard of service at this location as a whole. read more

Today was the second time that I have used this location. I should have not given them a second chance. The first time I made an appointment to come in the next day for an oil change. My work truck is a Enterprise rental. Enterprise has an account for long term rentals with Firestone for oil changes, tires, etc. I arrived at the appointed time, all bays were empty. As I sat there watching the bays fill up with other peoples cars and or trucks I asked why mine was not up on the rack having the oil changed? I was informed that they needed to have it approved by Enterprise. I reminded them that I asked them to do this the day before so that I could get in and out the next day. They never requested the service until I arrived. 3 1/2 hours later I was informed that they did not have any oil for my truck as a matter of fact I was not the only person in the lobby who's truck was drained of oil that they did not have to replace. 4 hours for a oil change. Yesterday I dropped of my personal truck for service before I drive home for Christmas. I asked for an oil change, replace the fuel filter on the motor, check the tire alinement and to flush the coolant system. They had my truck for two days, not a big deal I told them I didn't need in back before tomorrow night. Now I pick up my truck, no service done on the coolant system, no alinement. Then they were trying to charge me $370.00 for the oil and fuel filter. The most I have ever payed for that service was $180.00 and I thought that was high. My truck is a 2014 F250 I've had a few oil changes. A few months ago at a different Firestone I had an oil change with both fuel filters, air filter, both in cab filters for $435.00. (The in line fuel filter costs about $150.00 before labor) Try any where else. I will never give Firestone my business any longer. read more

I got my tires here 20k miles ago. 10k ago I had to bring it in for a check up and alignment. No prob, they said they did it, I was on my way. I came in today, huge problems w my tires and car- mechanic said they never did an alignment and my tires were so bad I was lucky they didn't blow while driving!! wait- WHAT?! They're new(we) tires! Turns out, they never did the alignment, they TOLD ME THEY DID, and sent me out anyway... I will be posting pics of the condition of my tires. Yes, the tires were under warranty but they made me pay for the alignment I ALREADY thought they did.. I'm confused, I'm spending my day here due to something they should have done right in the first place, and now half my day is gone and I'm out $$?? They will never get my business again and I will be contacting higher management to let them know what happened. Not happy. I've done many road trips in the past 10k that could have killed me and my passengers. I'm sitting here listening to another girl make a complaint about how they busted an O ring in her engine and now oil is everywhere in the compartment and they're saying it wasn't them. One of the worst experiences ever....I was driving a rental from Enterprise and they said they have a contract with Firestone. On a Saturday I went to see if they had availability for an oil change. The guy at the front desk said it will take 3.5 hours and I completely understood as I did not make an appt. He stated that Monday would be good and the earlier the better and said I did not need a appt because it is slow that day. I went to work and arrived at 2 on my lunch. He said I am sorry but we are booked. I stood there looking straight ahead as I had braved the horrendous rain. Ok, I understood. He said how about booking an appt. Hmm, ya think? So it was for Thursday at 11. I arrive and he said around an hour to hour + 15 minutes. I said that will be good. I bravely walked down Santa Rosa Ave to the retail stores across the street. I will not do that again. I was gone for 1 hour and 40 minutes and thought that gives them more than enough time. Wrong. I asked is my truck ready ? And the man did not have a voice box. He stared straight ahead. He left and came back and said they have not started on my truck! You have got to kidding?? I said so it does not matter if you do not have a appt or if you do, the service is the same. I will not recommend them ever. read more

I made an appointment for a wheel alignment - came in and was told it would take an hour to an hour and a half. It took over 3 hours. I left for an hour and when I returned, they still had not touched the car. They are suppose to test drive the car before and after, check tire pressure etc as part of the service. They did not drive it before or after. They marked the tire pressure as the same in all tires but I know when I entered that 1 tire was short 5 psi as my car measures tire pressures constantly. When I had the car returned, it still was 5 psi low and even double checked with a pressure gauge. But the paperwork states the tire pressure was fine. Clearly they made it up and did not check tire pressure. I don't really trust the wheel alignment either at this point given they did nothing else I can measure myself. Waste of time and money as now I will have to go elsewhere. read more

take for them to say "we can't fix your tire" (they should be really shame to call them self a "technicians" because i could have notify as soon as they lift my car up!.) They have very little knowledge find out where and what is my correct tire size (they give me a wrong tire which they don't have and make me waste my time to called every single tire shop in 60miles radius for finding wrong size tire on my road trip and stuck in middle of nowhere for nothing) Within that two hrs when they are busy talking on the phone i saw 6people walked in complaining about their previous jobs they have done. Okay, I have the lifetime alignment through these guys. I've normally had good experience with this company. But as of late it's been completely horrible. Both locations are extremely slow. They tell me over the phones sure they can get to my car but I'll have to leave it with them. I think okay fine I'll leave it and go to work. I walk in and say I need a alignment they tells me he won't be able to get to it until Saturday. It's currently Thursday, you guys are that slow that you need a full 48 hours. For an alignment! What a joke! I will not be coming back to this company. Completely wasted $190.00 lifetime alignment yea it will take you a life time just to get one. Geico had me towed here after breaking down on the 101. I appreciate the great roadside assistance from Geico, but if you're reading this DO NOT HAVE YOUR VEHICLE TOWED HERE. It went in for a diagnostic where the only things checked were my fluids and tire pressure. It was recommended I change my spark plugs. This was as close as they could come to identifying why my vehicle had lost acceleration. I was assured they had driven it, and it ran. I made it 5 miles and the same problem occurred, which they said had not happened to them. The diagnostic cost $150!!! I am not kidding, they could not locate the problem and did nothing but check fluids and tire pressure and it cost $150!!!!!. I was trying to avoid being towed to a place I didn't know because I feared a rip off. That is exactly what happened. If you're reading this have your vehicle towed to any other shop, or a shop you know. If you cannot have it towed to one of those places use a parking lot where it can wait to be brought to a reputable shop. This was literally highway robbery. read more

The wife and I needed to get the oil changed in our rental and called the Coddingtown Firestone first thing in the morning to see if we could get in. They said yes, but we'd have to just come by and wait for an opening which "might be an hour, might be 2, 3, or 4 hours". So off to Santa Rosa we went! When we got here at 8 AM, they immediately got us in and said it would be done no later than 9. We had left the rental agreement in the car, but they were able to pull up the info they needed from the key tag. We came back at about 8:40 and the car was already waiting for us. We went inside and a line had formed now, but the employee saw us, and quickly grabbed our keys, brought them to us, and said we were all set - they billed the rental company directly. It was the best possible handling of an otherwise frustrating situation. read more

When he went for the appointment they said he didn't have one and they were too busy to fit him in. He spoke with the store manager and told him who it wS that made the appointment but the manager still defended the fact that he didn't have one. They were very rude. My husband was so angry. Scheduled an appointment to get an alignment on my car. Took it in and was turned away because of my door handle not working correctly on the car. They said they couldn't get the door to open. I started to leave since they said they couldn't align my car and had a service technician come to explain why they couldn't work on the car. Showed him that the door could be open very easily by using both handles, he went to talk to the service advisor and the service advisor never came back to talk to me. I left and went to Les Schwabs tires in Windsor and they were able to align my car. I wanted to keep my money in Santa Rosa but that didn't happen because of a door handle. read more

I highly recommend these guys! Friendly, fast, and professional. I used a coupon that offered an oil change, tire rotation, and complete vehicle inspection for only $25. I got there pretty late in the day on the last day the deal was good for, but it was no problem. And unlike Sears, the paperwork only took about two minutes. They have a very clean, comfortable waiting room with free coffee and free WiFi, and a TV set to a low volume. They also have benches outside where you can sit in the sun, and still get strong WiFi signal. The service was done quickly, and I was rung up and on my way. I realized a few days later that instead of the "complete check" they'd only done the "courtesy check" on my car. I called about it, and they apologized and said to bring it in at my convenience, and they'd redo the entire thing. They did this work quickly and cheerfully, even though there was no money involved. I interacting with three different guys there, and every one of them was friendly and helpful. I liked that they didn't just ignore customers who weren't "theirs" from the start. I also liked that they answered all my questions, and didn't push me to have any other services done. read more

Had to stop in to firestone because I had a slow leak in one of my tires. Eric Jimenez, the service manager helped me. It ended up being a shrader valve that needed to be tightened. He checked all my f!uids, filled all my tires and let me know I would need to replace the serpentine belt soon. He was extremely efficient and very helpful. He's the service manager too. He didn't just pass us on to someone else he helped us himself. It's not every day you find a good mechanic and someone who actually enjoys doing customer service! Amazing! And I will be going back. Do not buy products or get services from this company. From another Firestone location; This company does not fix cars, they BREAK them. You will not get your money back for THIER mistakes. My boyfriend got engine parts replaced here. His car ran fine before we brought it here. It's an older car so he wanted to get some engine mantinace done so it would run for couple more years without any surprises. After the new parts it ran better than it ever had before. But out of the blue the engine died. What they "fixed" on the engine broke. We brought it back in, and they said they would fix it. After weeks of waiting, nothing. We go in and they said they "fixed" it. But it still did not run correctly. They recommend us buying more parts to get it back to normal. We bought the parts, and they put them in. Guess what? It didn't work! The car engine is unfixable! The car is undrivable. They will not refund us for the original "fix" that broke the car or the useless parts we purchased to "fix" something that is unfixable! I went to Firestone Auto care this morning now twice. Once for a oil change and then spark plug replacement. There so great. I got in and out within an hour 2 tops. They greet you as soon as you walk in. Plus I told them I need to get my tires rotated and they said they will comp me included with brake inspection.
