These Gentlemen were a God send!…read more So prior to contacting MPB for emergency work needed on my vehicle, I previously attempted to work with another repair shop regarding some emergency work that needed due to what I thought, was major damage to my car. Thinking what was provided at my initial diagnosis and what I was quoted, scared, stressed and worried is putting how I was feeling about my predicament, lightly. So, strapped for what I thought was going to be close to 5 grand (Yes, that's what the other shop quoted me) and a LONG list of work that was advised "Needed" to ensure my vehicle ran properly, I became worried that I wouldn't be able to drive my car. So, I searched for somewhere who could work with me in what I actually needed and came across MPB Auto Repair. I called and spoke with Tony (I'm sorry if I misspelled it!) and gave him the rundown. Tony was able to quote me and advised I bring my car in for diagnostics. Tony quoted me and said we could find ways to work together without over charging me and get me back on the road. So, I brought my car in and was able to quickly get a better diagnosis than what I was initially provided - My alignment was off and just needed to be fixed - and man, when some of these people say they worked quick? The owner didn't mention ay additional charges. When I went to the shop , the owner told me I need to pay additional $40 dollars for oil recycling which is not mentioned on the groupon website. I told him I can accept the charge and I need the receipt with the $40 additional charge to follow up with groupon about it. The owner said I am not interested in the deal anymore and asked me to leave and get a refund from groupon. I also noticed the owner increased the break fluid flush price on groupon from $160 to $240 after I left the shop today. It's a really bad experience for customers that the owner can change his mind and reject the service. Update for owner's review below "a vehicle that is directly not covered in the advertisement" , groupon adversisement doesn't mention any special vehicle price. After the owner told me to charge additional $40, I was confused and later accepted the charge while telling him to get the receipt for reference then I can follow up with groupon. After that, the owner refused to do the service. I guess the owner don't want his practice to be exposed to groupon. The owner could have listed the additional charge on the groupon website in the beginning to let customers be clear about all the cost. I had the time though, so I stuck around and waited a bit before they were able to squeeze me in for the smog check (less than 30 min wait). The service was super quick and all the employees I interacted with were professional and polite. I'll likely be back next time I need service or a smog check (but with a phone appointment)!

I rarely write reviews, but this one for Dale is well-deserved. He is truly the nicest mechanic I have ever encountered. I visited his shop for a non-functional AC issue that had persisted for over a year. With the ongoing heat wave, my job requiring constant driving, a baby due in less than two weeks, and my nephew needing the car for his driving test next week, I decided it was finally time to address the problem. I brought the car in on Thursday, and it was ready by Friday. I was genuinely impressed by the quick turnaround. I used Snap Finance for the payment, but there was initially an issue with the transaction. During this stressful moment, Dale was incredibly patient and understanding. Moreover, he repaired a broken brake light at no additional charge, saying, "I wanted to make sure it was all set for your nephew's driving test, as they would fail him if it didn't work." Dale is one of the kindest individuals I have ever met. I feel extremely fortunate and grateful to have found him. Thank you, Dale! My car has had a considerable amount of problems, ever since I purchased it. As soon as I repaired one thing, another problem would occur within just a couple of days. I finally listened to Beth Miller and took my car to Dale at All Around Auto, and I am so glad that I did! Not only did Dale fix all of my concerns, but he also wrote me a list of the more minor things that were taking place under the hood, just so that I was aware of the other little things going on with my car. Dale is a great mechanic, that does not make the customer feel like they are being "ripped off" and "taken advantage of" which is how many other companies have made me feel in the past. My favorite thing about this company is that Dale, and his employees, make the customer feel valued. They take their time to diagnose and explain the problem, and they also care about little things, like the correct spelling of people's names! It's the little things they do that make the customer come back. It is well worth the drive to take my car to All Around Auto Repair, and I live in Cotati. Prices are very reasonable, and the mechanics are experts. They have all the diagnostic equipment to read today's computerized auto systems. A couple of my friends were thinking of buying a used car. They took it to All Around Auto Repair, and found out if it was worth the money. In this case it was a great value, even after paying for the diagnostics. All Around Auto Repair answered our request for repair of our Subaru air conditioner within a half hour when they opened for business. They provided a timely appointment for the initial inspection and analysis at no cost. They then provided the cost and repair time for the minimum repair and an upper limit if more problems were found when the system was opened up. They would let us know if the repair would require any increase in time and cost. They completed the repair within the lower initial estimate of time and cost. In June, I had a cooling hose replaced and front breaks there also, but they didn't install the hose clamps properly and caused fluid to continue to spray all over my engine and under neath my car, by july ( a few weeks later) something was dragging under my car and I went in (kinda freaked out, seemed dangerous) but LouLou said they were at lunch and to come back in an hour- (a few people sitting in the office eating) .... so I came back in two hours BUT it looked like tHE mechanic and the Lady were leaving and the lady told me to come back the next MONDAY, very dismissive , but then the man got out of his car and ripped the hanging part out from my car and said it should be fine, .... I was stunned. It was 3:30 on Friday afternoon- and front desk girl wanted to go home- dismissed me again. NOW 2026, I got a new mechanic, of course..and the new mechanic said there are several issues including the battery and under my car there is a small hole in a hose which caused a slow oileak and splashed OIL under my car because there was no cover.... Leaving it exposed to road debris. My car is older but I have taken it in anytime I had the slightest issues. But now $5k later it's in worse shape than ever and would be thousand of dollars to clean and repair all these issues. My car is the shop again, Again because my battery- so Today- I called Sonoma auto to check the warranty on the battery they installed and got nothing but rude helpless answers from the front desk person. . Sh treats me like I annoyed her. Except, I'm a paying customer. Not there to make friends with LouLou. She's rude or she's just covering for the faulty services I received. Or both- sometimes, just taking reasonability for action is all a person needs to hear. But being meet with more dismissive behavior will only add fuel to the fire. Take responsibility, be accountable and treat customers like customers.

I brought that paperwork to Ricks and asked them to fix my car and anything else needed. Keith gave me a verbal quote of $695. Again, I trusted them from past service. Agreed to the verbal quote. The O2 sensor was replaced- CEL off. Unfortunately, VSC & TRAC OFF are still on. Rick's doesn't have the equipment to clear those codes/fix this problem on any LEXUS. They suggested I go to a dealer and try to get a free fix on an expired service bulletin/recall- no luck there. I'm happy the CEL is off. I'm disappointed that I didn't get a full fix especially when I was told they are a full service shop that day by 2 different people. Sadly, I should have insisted on a printed quote and I will from now on.

And... the same exact parts were $250 more than at AutoZone or at O'Reilly Auto Parts. I learned an expensive lesson... always get a written estimate! Warranty: Regarding the markup of parts for a that 2 year/24,0000 mile warranty... most manufactures of rotors already offer a lifetime warranty for defects. Written Estimate: Essential to avoid miscommunication. Unless your installing windshield wipers... every single customer that is quoted hundreds of dollars for services should automatically be provided with a written estimate period! Cutting Corners: A reasonable assumption would be one in which auto mechanical repair jobs are inherently associated with areas of safety concerns. What jobs wouldn't be & how does that justify price gouging? Discount: If you suffered a foodborne illness after dining in a restaurant would you accept a discount or complementary meal for your inconvenience?

They said it was a coincidence that it just happened to happen !!!????? do you fall for that one? I don't think anybody would !!!These sensors have batteries and they go out, but the day after the service was done just too coincidence for me took over an hour and a half and $120 to replace the sensor Have you ever felt ripped off??!! That's how I'm feeling right now! I'm thinking they could at least not charge me the $50 labor? I mean I get it. It takes them five minutes to takeoff the tire and put the sensor in and put it back together, but I was there for well over an hour Also the guy that I talked to when I first walked in there said they didn't have any sensors and then the manager came out and said that they did so I'm just not filling the honesty here Guess I'm looking for a new local tire services for our four vehicles

7:30 am on a Thursday in Santa Rosa…read more.. My truck broke down on the way to make a delivery... AAA towed it (and me) to Coogler's on a recommendation from a friend who knows these guys. Stressed? You know it! Concerned about the work that would be done and how long it would take and what it would cost? Absolutely! Who isn't stressed out when their car breaks down, and they're going to a new auto mechanic??? Greeting me in the lobby were three of the nicest guys who just got into work and were in a better mood than I was... Things were looking up already... Jeff was my repair coordinator, and he immediately put me at ease and let me know that they would do everything they could to get me back up and running ASAP. I quickly booked a rental truck and Ubered to the rental location to get it and bring it back to swap the goods and get back on track. One of the technicians (Scott maybe?) helped me make the swap (above and beyond? Yup!) Quick communication on Coogler's part with some texts and emails told me they had found the problem and were on the case. Estimated time to repair? End of today or tomorrow at the latest. That's fast, I thought... Good news too because I've got more deliveries coming up. 'Tis the season... Fast forward ~4 hours and I'm getting a call from Jeff telling me my truck was ready to pick up (pun intended). What?!?!?! 4 hours and it's done!!! Got back to the rental shop, got one of their guys to take me back to Coogler's, and was back in my truck at 1:30 pm. Since then, a couple of genuinely concerned calls and emails asking if everything is still going well with the truck. Normally, when I do business with someone, they only call to ask if we can do more business. This was actual follow-up and quite refreshing. Will I work with Coogler's again? You bet I will! And if you've been looking for a dependable auto mechanic who's going to do a good job of both fixing your car AND being pleasant to work with, you should too!

After weeks of sunshine, mother nature decided to give us rain. Of course the motor arm to my truck…read moredecided to break and my window fell into the door. My son uses Charlie for all of his automotive needs so I took my truck to him to fix the window. I also had a broken fan that I figured id have him fix as well as a sensor that needed to be replaced. After leaving the truck there, Charlie noticed that there was a small leak so did a pressure test on the water pump, and there was a leak. We had him replace that just to be safe. But here is the kicker... A couple months back the truck started making a rattling noise so we took it to Ford. They told us it was the transmission and that to diagnose it, they would have to take it apart. Thats a lot of money just to find the problem. We decided not to do that just yet (because I didnt have an arm and a leg to spare) but it turns out the noise was coming from the water pump and not from the transmission at all. We would have been out so much money just for them to not even fix the problem, because no one mentioned that it could be coming from the water pump. So not only was Charlie honest and reasonably priced, but he saved us from making an expensive mistake. Also, with everything that we needed done I was expecting not to have my truck for at least a week, but it was only 2 days. I highly recommend Dunleavy Automotive if you're looking for honest, reliable mechanic! We are now lifers!
