My car broke down about 10 minutes before Firestone was set to close. I live 2 hours outside of Shreveport and needed to get home - I was anxious. I called the business, told them what was up, and they told me to come in. They fixed the problem in about 20 minutes and filled me in in complete detail of what was wrong. Not only that, but another guy's car wouldn't start at a nearby business, so he came in asking them to help jump it and they did. These guys were completely wonderful. Thank you. read more

If I could give a negative rating I would. Firestone Store #19925 on E Bert Kouns did an alignment and completely messed my car up. I'm currently sitting at Mavis as they work on the alignment and found out they never corrected the issues and cause me to spend hundreds of dollars over the past few week just on tires alone because the were cupping due to them tires being seen too for inside cause a massive tilt that was ruining the tires. They even charged me for another alignment a few days ago because I needed up needing new front end work done and I didn't get it done by them. Only for them to still not do it correctly and two days later I'm spending another $100 plus for another alignment at a different place. I took my vehicle to a master mechanic and they did a diagnostic come to find out my front end work is good the only problem was a ridiculous and terrible wheel alignment that was last done by Firestone two days ago. Do not go to them they are terrible and I wish I could be compensated for all of the money I lost do to them. read more

Explained I had new tires but there's a leak was wondering if they can check it out. He sighed and said they won't have time to check it. Clearly he just didn't wanna stay open a little after close. While this is late, I wanted to write and Thank "Austin" for assisting me so quickly a couple of weeks ago. I was traveling and had a flat tire. Austin was able to fit me in quickly into the work load for the day and got me out and back on the road. I could not have asked for quicker or better service. My aunt (68 yrs old) drove from New Orleans to Shreveport to visit. She picked up a screw in her tire along the way. We wanted her to get it fixed before leaving for the trip back. Just wanting a patch, Firestone proceeded to tell us that the tire was too worn and they couldn't do the patch. Then told us how much a new tire was going to cost.. Also that her battery needed to be changed. Over $600. Upon returning home ( We worried about her the whole way), She went to the dealership that she purchased the vehicle from. They patched the tire for $18 as well as told her that the battery was fine. Firestone Shreveport, Louisiana.. what a rip off! I, as well as everyone I know, will never do business with Firestone again. read more

This place was my family's go to for all things car related for the last 7 years. They started going downhill about a year ago and are just terrible now. They can probably still do an oil change if they aren't crowded but anything over that take it to someone else. Most recently, I dropped my truck off on Friday morning and told them a tire had a slow leak and that something is wrong with the coolant sensor as I filled it but it's still showing a low coolant alarm. They said it was ready Friday afternoon. When I showed up they said the aired the tire and filled the coolant. Then they tried to charge me saying they replaced the battery and they had not. They quit answering the phone on Tuesday so I just showed up and picked up the truck on Wednesday. Friday- Wednesday just for an oil change and they didn't fix any of the issues I asked them to take care off. They still tried to charge me for a battery and for fixing the sensor which they did not. This is the worst automotive place in Shreveport. read more

I've been coming in for 3 days and they have been to busy to fit me in for an alignment. I scheduled an appointment for 2:30 on Sunday. When I arrived I was asked to come back at 4, so I came back at 4 and was asked if I could re-schedule to a different day because they had to much work to going on. I was told they had customers in the waiting room since 8 Am... they've been sitting for 8 hours!?? I needed to have this alignment done before I went out of town tomorrow. I should have known better than to give my business to a foreign owned corporation. I had no problem waiting a little longer than usual to have the work done on a Sunday, but to outright refuse to do my job is absolutely ridiculous. read more

Charged me just under $300 to change TWO HEADLIGHT BULBS. This place is an actual scam. I brought my own bulbs just for them to say no outside parts, use the exact same bulbs I brought myself, and charged me $20 more than what I paid for them. Never going here again read more

wow. paid almost $500 for Freon, car still blows hot and now developed even more issues. I'm confused. this is horrible

My cars AC busted on a road trip to see family. I stopped off at an autozone prior to bringing it in thinking it was just freon that I needed, but my Freon was full. I only figured it out because the guy at autozone just so happened to have a gauge lying around and was nice enough to let me use it before i purchased a whole canister of the stuff. He said if I added it I would mess up my AC system even more. So I took it to the shop. When I got the call after dropping my car off, the guy I was speaking with (Alex I think) was so nice and understanding about how the quote I got was out of my price range, but when I got there to pick up my car the engine was making this terrible grinding noise and the explanation I got was that it started happening after the Freon was added. Why add Freon? And also it smells like my car is burning oil now, and on top of that the courtesy check I had them give me said my battery was fine, but now that I am on the road back home, tell me why my car died once already and my battery light has consistently been on for the past hour. My car has more problems than it originally had when I dropped it off and that's an issue. Would love to either hear from the manager or the tech that actually worked on it to figured out what the heck happened in that shop for this to have happened. read more

Got a good deal on a set of new tires. Appointment was for 7:30am--and didn't pick up car until 12:30 pm. I dropped my car off and had other things to do--but if this was my only car and had to wait that long I wouldn't of been too happy. All in all they didn't pester me about "changing this and changing that" or mentioning that I needed a new cabin air filter... I'll be back and see if I'll be 2 for 2 read more

I drop my car off for a tire rotation on October 30, 2020. The employee said my car would be done later that day and they would give me a call. At 4 PM I called to see if my car service had been completed and it hadn't but they said they would finish it by the end of the day. I asked if he's OK if I left my car with him because I wasn't going to be able to pick it up that late. The employee said I would be able to pick it up in the morning and at the service would be completed. I arrived at 8:30 on October 31, 2020 and the simple tire rotation still had not been completed. Not only was the shop on able to do a tire rotation having my truck for the majority of the day they lied to me and did not complete the service as promised. Don't expect any service at this location to be timely and I hope this review serves to prevent future issues like this. read more

Great location-highly recommend! Amanda at the front desk is a phenomenal customer service representative and I would ask for her help when you arrive. This location was unable to fix the issue on my BMW due to it being Sunday but they h gave it their all and provided valuable information. I struggled on whether to write this review or not but the situation is so alarming that I need to inform others. The short end of the story is that I refused to let them repair something on my car due to the price and the technician put a razor blade in my tire that had the broken sensor. He placed it in that tire because he knew I would not notice the tire pressure was getting low until it was completely flat. Do not take your car here, they are dishonest and will smile in your face while they are lying and destroying your vehicle. read more

If you want some great service this is the place to come!! It might be more on the expensive side and you might end up paying a little bit more than you really want but the service speaks for itself. I first came in here not want to come in because of the prices but after I left and I got my car taken care of I've realized everything went better than I expected. Went to get 2 tires, alignment, and an oil change. I had the car inspected and both air filters replaced YESTERDAY!!!! They came back saying they looked over the car and said the brakes and shocks were bad all the way around, both air filters were dirty and needed to be replaced, and a tie rod was bad. I politely declined the extra service and am still sitting here 5 hrs later waiting on my 2 tires, alignment and oil change...... read more

HORRIBLE! Took my car here on September 10, 2016 because my car was due for an oil change. They had my car for over an hour and when they called they told me that they were not able to do an oil change because my oil was 4 quarts too low, so they just topped it off. They said that they "Could have done an oil change but they just preferred not to" and charged me $40. They tried to sell me on needing a new alignment soon, new back tires, new windshield wipers...everything that I didn't com in for. Not even two weeks later my oil light came back on. I check it and it was gone dry. On Thursday, 10/6/16 my boyfriend was driving the car home from work. The oil light came on again, it started making a weird noise and died. He checked the oil and it was bone dry again. On 10/8/16 he placed the car in ramps to see what was going on. He cranked the car and oil immediately started coming out of the filter. When checking the filter, he noticed a puncture which is why my car has not been holding oil. He did an oil change with a new filter and the leaking stopped but the noise was still there. He took it to a mechanic his morning, 10/12/16 and was told that the motor was bad. This was because the motor hadn't been getting enough oil. Was told that Firestone should have made me aware that there was a puncture in the filter and if it would have been changed then when I brought it to them, everything would have been okay. But instead they chose not to do this and now my motor has to be replaced!!!!! HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!! They will be contacted and held responsible. read more

This place has some severe service deficiencies. The young man working the desk was nice but beyond that the service was atrocious. I was the first person in the store at 7am to have 4 tires mounted and balanced. The whole time I was present I watched the technician(Casey) spend his time texting on his phone. This is totally unacceptable behavior in any business but especially while customers are waiting. The time spent doing a simple tire change out was over 2 hours which is ridicules. This store has been through many,many managers over the years but apparently the one in place now needs to clean house. I question how safe it is to have technicians working on vehicles while being distracted by their cell phones. I wonder what Firestone's policy is as it pertains to texting and talking on the phone while working on customers vehicles. I fear now my car and its tires are not up to safety standard due to distraction of technician while installing. I will be taking my car to another shop to check Firestone's work which will cost me an assessment fee. I won't be back unless there are big noticeable changes at this location. read more

Have life time road hazard from Firestone. One tire was leaking so went to closest shop in Bossier. The mechanic put the car so far up in the air he could barely reach the tire. One hour later, came back to tell me I need 2 new tires, not including the one that had a nail and that they would be unable to repair it because the nail was in the sidewall. Heard this before from the same shop! Told them to just get it off the rack and let me go home to repair. While watching them sit around for another 30 minutes (inside guy out in shop shooting the bull) another customer drove up, so inside guy comes back inside. I told him my keys are in the envelope and could he please give them to me. Handed me the keys, no receipt, nothing and I left. Went home, nail on edge of tread (not sidewall) plugged and repair. During this time a lady came in because her battery light was on in her toyota. She was told she need alternator, battery, etc.... Her battery was ruined and that she could not use a charger to recharge her battery. With a brother-in-law in the starter - alternator business for over 40 yrs., I knew this was a lie. To test they battery, it must be charged and then put through a load test to see how quick it looses its charge, not done here. With my wife driving toyota's for the last 20 yrs. and my brother-in-law telling me that the alternator on a toyota rarely dies, I would guess the lady had a loose belt or corroded terminals - toyota's do go through battery's but rarely an alternator. Dishonest and will never go back to this shop again. read more

Beware of taking your car in for even basic tire service at this place. The low tire light came on in my daughter's car and this was the closest place to stop. They told her it had a bolt stuck through the sidewall. Fine. Needs a new tire. Ok. They then told her all 4 tires needed replacing and quoted a price. I had just checked those tires before she went back to college last week. They had plenty of miles left on them but since she was there I told her to go ahead and have them replaced. Later, they called her and told her they only had one at the quoted price and the price jumped to over $600! Then they said they could get it down to around $500. Sounds really fishy. Ladies and gents this is a 1 1/2 year old Fiat! The tires on this thing aren't much bigger than donuts! I told her to forget it and took it down the street to Gateway Tire. They said they would replace the bad tire and that the rest of the tires were just fine. I feel like they saw an inexperienced college student in distress coming through the door and saw $ signs. The people working at this location are highly unprofessional. Never ever go here to get any work done, not even a simple oil change. I dropped my car off to have the oil changed and an hour later I get a call from them, which I missed cause I could not hear my phone. I called them directly back and they told me my battery was bad. That's fine, thank you for the heads up. Then they call me back again and when I pick up they hang up. So I call them back and they tell me my car is ready. I go into pay for it and Stephan (I think pronounced Stefan, the guy that has Chicago on his name tag) starts telling my that the only people that screen their calls are people that don't paid there bills. Then he tells me he was a defective and he always picks up his phone. I will never go back to this firestone or any for that matter. There's just to many other places with great service in Shreveport. Also, my whole family, who's done so much business with them will not be going back. read more
