I'm late on this review but it don't change the fact of what happened to us........ They don't keep their word and honor their own discount. Chase (manager) gave my wife a card with free oil change 100% discount on next oil change cause they couldn't change her oil at the time she took her car in. So we had it changed at VW dealership. Back in October 2019 when I went to get the oil change the next time I was told at the King's Hwy store that Chase left the Kings Hwy store and was at the Youree Dr store. So after driving to the Youree Drive store and speaking to Chase and him beating around the bush, he was supposed to call us back and never did after speaking to him at the youree store. Got the oil changed and 28 miles later broke down on side of the road. We went and check on our daughter to find NO oil plug in the car. We had to have it towed to her house. We contacted the Manager the next day as soon as the business opened, and spoke with him and told him that she broke down after leaving getting her oil changed on December the 18th. My husband and myself got to her as soon as possible. We noticed there was oil all over the ground under her car. My husband looked under it and started feeling around felt that there was No oil Plug! We left her car over night and had it towed the next morning to her house until we could contact your company to find out what happened.I spoke with the manager and told him what happened and that we had it towed and the address, and that we had to rent a car because she had to get back and forth to work. He ask if he could go out there and look at the car and I told him yes and gave him the address. He went out to my daughters house and seen that there was NO OIL PlUG. He told me he put a plug in it, filled the car with oil and cranked the car. And he said that the car was making a sound but should be ok. I ask was he a mechanic he said no. I ask him what did he mean by making a noise, the car was fine before she brought it in to get the oil changed. He ask what mechanic do we use and that we could send it there. So we got it towed to KIa. I have spoken with him several times and sent him emails on everything that has happened. I am at $1000 in rental car fees right now !! We can not keep paying that we need an Answer!! Nobody will call us or talk to us.. it has ruined her car, she has no way to get back and forth to work !! You can not get anyone to call you !!! *recent update: the regional manager has offered a full refund and two free oil changes. Appreciative of his recognition of this problem and his good customer service. This business took terrible advantage of my 18-year-old daughter today. They charged her $93 to get the oil changed in her little Chevy Cruze!!! When she almost went to tears, they gave her an $8 coupon making it $85! I drive an SUV and have never paid over $50!!! Do not go here. Not trustworthy. When she was asked which oil, she said, "Whichever is cheapest." They absolutely did not explain to her the expense she would incur. And they have a sign out front that says, "29.99." Perhaps the brand they used did cost this much, but she had no idea. Wondering if they are paid on commission or some type of incentive pay schedule for selling expensive oil? So disappointed. UPDATE: I went by today to visit with them, and they are unapologetic for this expense. Not locally owned. And don't care. We will not be back and will make sure all of our friends and family know. I brought my f150 in for an oil change sometime in the past. I usually change my own oil but didn't want to bother with it that time. When my oil change was done, I was advised I needed a new air filter. (I know this is a sales tactic, a very shady one.) the air filter they pulled out was basically clean I didn't say anything because they had already opened the new one and had it ready to put in. It's fine, I had the extra money anyways. So I leave and tip the guy $10 that I dealt with. It's just who I am. On my way home I notice my oil pressure is a little high. I think maybe because the new oil (which I found out was castrol, and I would never personally use in anything of mine) had more viscosity and kinda brush it off. Well after a few hours I go outside and see the coolant "top-off" they did for me spilled all over the ground. You put coolant in system that's got lower levels while warm and higher when cold but doesn't really need any coolant and it will be pushed out through the overflow tube. But now I have to deal with the white stain on my driveway and I'm going to go ahead and check my oil because the "top-off" has me skeptical. When I check the oil on my dipstick it's way high. More than half a quart high. I check my receipt, I was charged for 8 quarts, so I'm assuming they put 8 quarts in my truck when it only calls for 7.4. Take 5 still has not responded to an email I sent 6 months ago. They're lucky they didn't cause any damage to my truck. I will never pay take 5 for anything ever again. i went to the take 5 on east kings hwy although the worker who changed my oil was great the assitant manager was very rude and talked to the employee very very nasty i drive a white honda accord she was instructed him to leave my car and go to the other side of the building she snatched the air pump from him and begin to insult him under her breath! i tried to tip the young man he wouldn't even take my tip excellent worker, but the assistant manager, whose name was brittany take 5 please address this issue before you lose customers i was not the only customer in the building while this was happening. read more

Tonight we tried this place out. We won't be back. I know most oil change places hit you up for other services, like transmission flushes, but i cannot stand it when someone speaks to me condescendingly and tries to frighten me into making a purchase. This vehicle is 14 years old... newsflash... you know what happens to a transmission on an older car when you flush it?? You likely will ruin your transmission and its best to leave well enough alone. But these clowns want to bring us the dipstick and ask us if we know what it is and look at us like our car is on its last limb. Then shake their head as we decline the offer, like "oh, poor fools... your car has seconds to live. " Screw this crapp- i thought it would be convenient to sit in the car while getting an oil change but it was just a pain in the butt because they wanted to sell us something or talk to us every ten seconds. Please people do NOT get transmission flushes from these places. We have a retired transmission man in the family and he says more cars are ruined by these jobs than are helped. Don't risk your vehicle to these stupid gimmicks. I have no idea how its not illegal to not give the consumer all pertinent info when they do their little sales pitch.
