Great communication and service!! Highly recommend. We were on our way home from a beach vacation on a Saturday evening and we had a few sensors show up on the dash of our 10 year old van. After a quick stop at Auto Zone we found out we needed to replace an ignition coil. I called Firestone because they were close by and still open and I am so glad I did. I spoke with Dillon and told him our situation. He was quick to talk to the staff to see if one of the techs could squeeze us in. He said he could get our part in 10-15mins and to head over, he also gave me the estimate over the phone which seemed reasonable. They were quick to check us in and Dillon was out getting the part when we arrived. Our tech came and personally discussed the part replacement and let us know it wouldn't take much longer. All I wanted was my tires rotated. I made an online appointment for 9:00am. I showed up early and at around 9:35 ish they called me up to the counter. I thought they were all done because again at this point I'd been waiting for about 45 minutes. Nope. Apparently that whole time they had been doing a full inspection on my car. Why? NO IDEA! ALL I WANTED WAS MY TIRES ROTATED. Did I click inspection on the online booking? NO I DID NOT. So with 45 minutes wasted I told them that NO I did not want them to get started on the suggested services they told me they would recommend based on their inspection. Then I had to wait an extra 15 minutes more for them to actually do the service I wanted and came in for. Thanks for wasting my time. ALSO I leave and get about 3 miles down the road and my tire pressure light comes on. Wth???? So only go here in a desperate situation or if you're looking to get random unwanted up charges and inspections you didn't ask for! Never coming back. Oh also, they let a bunch of air out of my tires. My tires were supposed to be at 51 psi and they let so much air out that all of my tires are now at 35psi. So not only did they waste my time there but now I have to go out of my way to go somewhere else to get my tires filled back up. I think a group of toddlers could've done a better job. read more

She ordered my tires and made me a convenient appointment. She ensured I received all the deals FireStone was offering. I saved $500 by going to FireStone instead of continuing with the dealership. The service FireStone provided vs Toyota was a clear difference. They gave me exactly what I wanted and didn't make me feel like they were trying to pull the wool over my eyes. I had called and made an appointment for an oil change on my high performance Mustang. After reading a plethora of the negative reviews I was very hesitant to keep my appointment. I did keep it and it turned out to be an excellent experience. The employees were courteous, friendly and most helpful. I will definitely take my car back whenever I need an oil change. The store called me and said they would recommend three other services, but I declined and that was the end of it. No high pressure sales after I declined. Simpsonville sc 29681-5446 Customer invoice 117524 4each firestone destination a/t Pmetric p275/65r18 $956.00. These tires are starting to dry rot around the rim I do not feel safe with them. They only have 21,925 miles on them. I talked with Rep at Firestone and told it was normal. Called regional office and was hung up on. If this is a normal condition I want a letter stating that so If I get into an accident due to dry rot blowout I'm covered. read more

Brought my wife's company car in for a strut replacement and an oil change. Dropped it off around 8. Called at 2 the check the status and learned that they had just brought it back. Finally at 4:30 I pick it up. Started to drive off and could clearly hear that the strut was very loud still. The attendant told me it had to break in. Total BS! The strut wasn't even touched. Instead it was an 8 hour oil change. That was my first and absolute late time I will use this place. read more

Took my CRV in for a tire rotation and oil change. Told them exactly what I wanted and left it for the entire day. They called mid day, but I was unable to take the call. Upon arrival they tried to up sale tires and claimed they couldn't rotate the current tires for safety reasons. There is still plenty of tread ware on all tires. This shop is so conveniently located to my home. I hoped this would be the beginning of a good connection. Disappointed. Won't be back. read more

1st I needed my back breaks done. There was no sounds or anything. They called and told me I need rotors. They wanted to charge close to four hundreds for the break job. My husband told them not to worry about the breaks. Told them to just change worry about my fog lights. Once I got my truck back. My breaks sound like crap. They didn't have they sound didn't feel the same after I dropped my truck off with them. The is a loud sound and grinding like crazy. I took my truck back to the dealer. They told me that those were not the same breaks I had on my truck. They would know I just had it they a week prior. So I had to get new break there instead of this business. Very disappointing that companies are still doing people wrong and not only doing people wrong some are having a ruff time getting on their feet with pandemic. This a company I will warn others about specially the one in FIVE FORKS. 2nd issue. I asked them to check on fog lights that both of them were out. I also told them it make have been a shortage or the fuse. Please check. This is how I know they did me wrong. Both lights were not out. But they told me they both are blown. They was not true. I had my truck at the dealership to get an oil change. I really thought this was a company I can trust. I trust YouTube to teach me what to do then take any of our 5 cars here. The sad part this isn't the 1st time this location did me wrong. Last time they were to change out my headlight bulb one the light side. I had them do something which I can't remember. When I got home I had to call back there. Come to find out they didn't even change out my headlight. But I paid for it. Talking about they must have forgotten. Lol. Are u kidding me!! I wish there was an option for 0 stars. We have used this location off and on since they opened. They are dishonest thieves. They constantly upsell the customer products that are not necessary. About 4 years ago, they sold my husband 4 brand new truck tires costing over $1000. The tires that they claimed needed to be replaced were less than a year old and had a warranty. After I went in with the paperwork, they did admit to their "mistake" and refunded the majority of the purchase. The customer shouldn't have to prove that the tires were new, the technician should have looked up records on file prior to recommending the replacement. Last week they struck again. My husband's car needed the brakes checked, they had started to squeak, and an oil change. Of course, magically the car now uses a synthetic oil that it had never needed before at an upcharge of close to $65, and the rotors needed to be replaced, not resurfaced but replaced. Unfortunately, they called my husband to approve the repairs and he trusted them, BIG MISTAKE. When I called to question them, they insisted that the car "only" takes synthetic oil. Since it is a new car I called the dealership and they said that the car can use synthetic oil but it was NOT required. I also questioned them about replacing the rotors, I questioned the amount of space left on the rotors and how much surface would be lost with resurfacing. Once again this was not a necessary repair. There was enough space on the rotors for them to be resurfaced once. The technician made a "judgment" call to replace them and my husband didn't question the recommendation because he "trusted" the expert. I will NOT be using them again. I have had positive experiences at the location further down Woodruff Road and I will go back to them. read more

I've been using this location more than 7 years for both our cars. I've never had a problem. I work on my own car and use them for tires, tire rotation, alignment, and oil changes. Being someone who understands cars, changes their own brakes (not breaks), changes their own rotors, replaces filters, changes gaskets, changes out tie rods, etc. I can tell you most of the people complaining have no clue what they're even saying. You can squat beside your car and check your brakes, they don't patch tire they plug them and they can only plug holes to a certain size. Shops won't rotate tires with less than the legally required 2/32 of an inch because when it blows and you kill someone they don't want to be responsible for putting you back on the road in a dangerous car that doesn't meet legal requirements. I trust this location, I love that they check my car and tell me what needs to be replaced so I can choose to have them do it or save money and do it myself. read more

I've taken most of my vehicles to Firestone when I lived in California and usually had good experiences. This Firestone is cut from a different cloth. I've had numerous poor experiences usually involving lying to upsell me on something I don't need. For example, I took my Corolla there yesterday. Manager tells me my battery is dying and needs to be replaced. I was suspicious as it was only 2 years old. (I took to AutoZone for battery test today. Result? my battery is perfectly fine.) Same Firestone manager tells me my front tires are at 3/32 and company policy doesn't permit them to rotate tires less than 3/32. I challenged him "you said you can't rotate tires under 3/32, right?" His answer "correct". Me: "But you also just said my tires are AT 3/32, so the policy doesn't apply". He sarcastically responds "well, it's at or less than 3/32". So he changes his story midstream. Then he says "we can rotate the tires if you purchase 2 new front tires". Ahh...so there's the catch. He uses "company policy" to claim he can't perform the service (which should have been free because I bought the tires there) and then tries to sell me 2 more tires. No thank you! I'll just get my tires at my local Toyota Dealership (BTW - I called Firestone corporate the next day. There is no such 3/32" policy on the books). This is just one example of many I've had going to this Firestone location. Avoid it like the plague....current and prior managers entice you in with free services attached to prior purchases (e.g. tires, lifetime alignment) and then attempt to reel you into spending big dollars on unnecessary services (often based on lies) read more

I called the main office to see if the tires had warranty. I explained they are bald and came fr Ford dealership. She wouldn't tell me if they did, but told me to go to store to have them see tires. I called store and explained that I bought from Ford dealership and they lasted 25000 miles out of the 50k they were rated for. He said bring it in. I took off of work and drove 40 min for him to come look at them and say we don't do warranty on dealership tires. I'm not exaggerating one line. Quick Review: If you're looking for an honest, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced mechanic this is NOT for you. Full Review: I usually go to a different garage in Greenville for my car service, but due to this shop's proximity to my house I figured I'd give them a try. I'd also like to preface this review with the fact that I am very knowledgeable about cars - I have spent my entire life around cars and car restoration. However, sometimes I still use shops to save myself some time. I took my car there to get a hole patched in a tire, a fuel filter changed, and a check engine light for Lean Bank 1 and Lean Bank 2 diagnosed. Tire Change: I was informed that the hole in the tire was too big and could not be patched. The salesperson proceeded to offer to sell me a replacement tire. I declined. Immediately after picking my car up I drove it to Walmart and they patched it for 10 dollars without issue. Fuel Filter: The initial price they gave me was 157 dollars. I had changed this filter at another shop before for almost half. I asked the salesperson why the price was so high. He then offered to do it for 90 dollars, while I appreciate the sentiment - why was this not the first price offered to me? I inspect the replacement when I got home and they had bent the safely clips and not properly reattached them. Check Engine Light: This is where it gets good. The salesperson called me after the 100 dollar diagnosis, and told me there was a vacuum leak on the EGR valve and on the PCV hose. The price for replacing the EGR valve was high, but still within reason. He then told me the PCV hose was $113 to replace. I was shocked by this at first and then remember there is a hose that goes from the PCV valve to the back of the crankcase that would be a royal pain to access. I asked if this was the hose they were replacing - the salesperson told me yes. Result: The hose they replaced was NOT the hose between the PCV and crank case, but rather the hose from my intake to my crank case. A 5 year old could have changed this hose with no tools (seriously). Check engine light remained. At this point the salesperson told me that both (2x) of the downstream O2 sensors needed to be replaced and offered to do so for $300-$400. There are two problems with this diagnosis. 1. I only have 1 downstream O2 sensor. 2. O2 sensors are almost NEVER the cause of lean check engine lights. Any knowledgeable mechanic would have known this. Also the chances of both O2 sensors going bad at the same time is HIGHLY unlikely. At this point I realized I was wasting my time. I took the car home, diagnosed it myself and determined it was a fuel delivery problem. I change my fuel pump myself and the check engine light when away. I did not change my O2 sensors. Maybe they would have got to this realization, but there is no telling how much money I would have spent before they did. You shouldn't pay 100 dollars for a diagnosis from people that don't know what they are talking about. Conclusion: If you're looking for an honest, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced mechanic this is NOT for you. If you just need an oil change, they can probably handle that - but no guarantee. EDIT: For the record I do not believe their diagnosis was intentionally false, simply uneducated. read more

If there was a way to rate zero stars, I would have. Brought my car in to have the oil changed and mentioned to the technician that my brakes were making a strange sound and to please check if they need to be replaced. I was told the brakes were fine. After two weeks of the sound getting worse and the smell of metal after driving around I decided to take it back and of course I was told "not sure who said your brakes were fine you clearly need new brakes" Fast forward to today my car's battery died and was told by road side assistance after a failed jump to take the car in to have it looked at. My husband then called Firestone advised the situation and that we would be taking it in to check the starter ect. We had the car towed to firestone only to be told "I don't know who you spoke to but there is nothing we can do you have to go to the dealer." This cost me a $90 tow now to the damn dealer. I've brought two cars there recently. One car had a good size bolt in one of the tires. They were able to work on it the same day and I was very relieved they were able to plug the tire. It's several weeks later and I've had no problems. The other car needed an oil change. They said it's be a one hour wait and they kept it to one hour. Thank you! read more

went to my appointment to get two front tirs replaced om my two wheel drive truck, asked them to check my spare for cracks along the sidewall and put air in it if needed, also told them i would take the old tires with me and not to hit me with the eco surcharge. an hour later im checking out, thinking this should have taken a half hour, they forgot to check the spare, they were willing to do it, but i didnt want to spend anymore time there, they hit me with the eco surcharge, so i didnt know how long it would take to redo the paperwork and get my tires so i just paid the $4. the guys there were very friendly, the bathroom was clean, they had coffee and a decent place to wait with a tv. i did get a deal on the tires, i saved $12.50 a piece. all in all, not bad, but i really hate that it took an hour to do what should hve been a 1/2 hour and then they didnt do the extra i asked them to...id let them change my tires, thats about it read more
