I rarely write reviews, but if you rely on them like I do, please read this. I came in to get my rear left tire replaced and mentioned that the rear right tire originally installed at the Haywood Road location was going flat. They checked it and said there were no punctures, then added air. Two days later, it was losing air again. I returned, and this time they said the valve stem was old and replaced it. I thought the issue was resolved until three days later when the tire went flat again. I asked for the tire to be replaced and inspected thoroughly. They replaced it, stating it had been damaged from driving on it flat. But the next day, the new tire was flat too. I finally jacked up my car and inspected it myself only to find a visible crack in the rim. That crack was clearly causing the repeated air loss. What's frustrating is that the tire was removed multiple times, and yet no one noticed or mentioned the crack. I understand they can't fix rims, but had they pointed it out, I could've avoided replacing a perfectly good tire and all the back-and-forth. My front drivers tire was setting off a notification in my car. I went to Discount Tire on Woodruff Rd in Greenville, SC to fill it up. They had a Free Air Assessment sign and compressor by the front door. I went inside to see if I could use it and said one would be right out to help me. I was on my lunch hour and was anticipating a long wait and to be tried to be upsold and was pleasantly surprised when Colby R came to assist me within a minute, took care of the air in all 4 of my tires and did a safety inspection check with it. He checked the tread on my tires quickly and efficiently and determined I needed new windshield wipers within a short time. Always a great experience at this location. Called yesterday to make appointment for balance and rotation. Phone answered promptly and very polite and professional on the phone. Went in for my appointment today and greeted and checked in right away. In and out in less than 30 minutes. They pressurized my tires and noticed a nail in one and fixed it no charge! My rubber window gasket on my drivers side door had come loose and they proactively fixed that too. Very pleasant experience; all associates friendly, courteous and professional which means a lot to me having worked in customer service. I've always used discount for my tires and always been happy with the services but today was overwhelmingly amazing. I had Will/William who checked us in and was only planning to replace my back two tires as we are 4 days away from having our second baby, and with me going on maternity leave , I couldn't afford to replace them all. I own my own business and my husband stays home with our 4 year old so on one income and him having to find miscellaneous work while I'm out, our funds are short. One of my tires was slowly leaking air and I stopped by for these guys to take a look at it one afternoon. Several people were sitting in the lobby chairs and even more people were in line. As I was waiting I noticed they had two check in lines, one for online and one for walk in. I realized I should have checked in online for a quicker visit and left to do so. Returned a few days later with an online appointment and was really surprised how fast they got me in and out! As I checked in the guy estimated how long before they would take my car back for inspection and they ended up being ahead of schedule. Discount Tire will plug tires for free. Unfortunately the nail in my tire was located along the shoulder in an area that they considered unrepairable. He showed me a diagram explaining where on a tire they are able to patch and where they cannot. Not the news I was hoping to hear! The guy helping me did initially offer to order me a new tire and have it in the shop asap, but as soon as I told him I really didn't want to have to buy a new tire he said they'd check the spare on the back of my Jeep and change them out for me no problem. I didn't feel any pressure to purchase and appreciated them offering to change my tire versus just letting me keep driving around with the damaged tire. I drove from Charlotte today to Simpsonville,South Carolina to take my 89-year-old mom to a doctors appointment the following day. I was on Highway 14 and picked up a good size bolt in my right front passenger tire. After googling tire stores in Simpsonville I ended up at Discount Tire on Woodruff Road. These people were awesome! They recognized my problem, took my car right in for service, they were able to remove the bolt and plug the tire. I was out of this store in less than an hour. It was very busy there and initially I was afraid I was not going to be able to get my car back but they assured me I would be OK, because if the tire was unrepairable they have an tote in stock to put on my car. I was lucky that they were able to plug the tire and be on my way! The other surprise was I was not charged for this service, it was free!! To be perfectly honest, I first went to a competitor also on Woodruff Road but closer to my mom who lives in the Five Forks area to get help. These people were not attentive at all, and when I explained my tire problem they said they did not have any openings until Wednesday. I know it's busy but to make it worse, I got my car back and they didn't even put air in the 2 tires they rotated from the back and it's wicked busy out. I got 2 tires at the location in Savannah (GAE03) over the summer after an emergency flat heading to the beach. Mark and team had me in and out of there in 30 minutes (less than the time I waited at Starbucks for my mobile order). I have on four occasions used the Discount Tire service for checking air pressure and free puncture repair. So it was natural to consider the company first when buying four new tires for my wife's car. The only problem was that when ordering the tires I asked if the price included installation. The answer was that it did. However when it came to paying for the tires on the car I found a separate charge for installation. They do charge for installation, they just dont make a big thing about it. But taking the whole experience into account I suppose it could have been worse. Make sure you check the total cost as it will be when picking up your car. In my case the difference was over $150 on the final bill. read more

I initially call about a tire that had gone flat and needing replaced. In talking with Shane we determined he did not have enough information to match the tire perfectly. I suggested I just bring it in and let them figure that out. It turns out that tire is no longer being manufactured. He and an associate quickly found a suitable replacement and for less money. The wear suggested an alignment issue and suggested two tires. They even waited until after normal closing time for me to get it and return. Lastly, he gave me a card for a discount at another place specializing in alignment. I was reluctant to call Discount Tire because the car is an older sports car requiring an unusual size tire. However, I was pleasantly surprised at the friendly and professional approach to getting the right tires for me late on a Saturday afternoon. read more

Sam's Club quoted me $468 for the tires I needed. I called discount tire and they quoted me 400, so I drove here. Evan Johnson assisted me and he was phenomenal. He found me two tires that had been driven on for 3 days so they were listed as used. I got two like new tires for $200 and Evan even recommended a comedian to listen to on my drive home (we'd been talking some about comedy).
