Older retired couple here. We had a nail in our tire. They got us right in and regretted to inform us that it couldn't be fixed. It was a new tire we had purchased elsewhere. Legitimately scary place to leave your car I went cross country and was almost home when my transmission line popped off no big deal for any actual mechanic... I was told they wouldn't touch it but would happily sell me a battery I didn't need since I have a brand new battery from 2023. Ok no big deal these losers refuse to help me. The funny thing is they then tell me if I want my keys back I have to pay 10.91$ for an inspection. A courtesy check is always supposed to be free they didn't even tell me anything other than hey looks like your line is leaking but we wont touch it. Main points: they are thieves, they will try and ruin your vehicle and they genuinely just want your money not to help you!!!! I was in Des Moines for the weekend and got a low tire pressure indicator the night before I had to leave. I went to Tires Plus and apparently they stopped having Sunday hours last September. I went to Firestone, and they got me in right away. The estimated time was 1.5 hours, and I was out of there within one hour. Cameron was amazingly helpful, and I so appreciate the professionalism and thoroughness with my predicament. Definitely recommend! read more

Every time I hit 70 mph in my 3 year old car (purchased new from the dealer) I'm reminded why I'll never have this shop install another set of tires on a car I own. I regret that I didn't buy the tires at the dealership. I returned the car once and the shaking was still there, this is after having to argue with the front desk over being charged to check it out the day after the work was done. I stopped it by telling the front desk person I'm not going to bicker over their fee, I simply want my car to drive as well as it did when I brought it in. My only solace in the experience is the original person I spoke with on the phone, and who was there when I originally had the new tires put on, honored the no-charge fee that was mentioned and waived the feel. However, the car still shakes at highway speeds. I'll just have the dealership have a look at what's wrong. The bottom line: The tires were worn. I brought it to Firestone because I had a trip planned before the dealer could take care of replacing the tires. The car drives like some clunkers that I owned when I was a teen. It did not drive like that when I brought it in. The price of the tires were already about $100 more than what the dealer quoted me and now I'm out of more money to have the dealer correct whatever was skipped at Firestone. Unhappy doesn't begin to describe how I feel about my experience here. read more

In 2018 I put 4 new tires on the minivan. 65k tire. Oil change in April show no problem with tires or alignment. Oil change Friday shows bad title rod and almost no tread on the 65k tire that has 30k mileage on it. This negates the warranty. Called customer service, explained the issue. Promised a call within 48 hours regardless of the weekend. Adam calls on Monday instead and follows the same story. No empathy Didn't try to reach a solution or try and keep me as a customer of 9 years. I will never use Firestone again. read more

Huge waste of money and time. When I got there, four staff members were playing with an RC toy car. I dropped my car off (for a standard oil change they charged me about $90 for) early in the morning and it was finally done late in the afternoon. I was late for work. Plus they lied to me; tried to tell me I absolutely needed about $400 worth of work on my rear brakes. It's a new car. There was nothing wrong with my brakes, they were just trying to scam me. They tried to convince me that it was too dangerous to drive without new brakes. I'm never going back. read more

My car engine light came on and I was close by Firestone I got there at like 4:35. All the work techs were gone so I left my car over night the next morning I was informed that it was my oil pump that went out and now I owed 113 for them just telling me the problem.. I ended up only paying 57 but then I towed it to whom I purchased it from who has had it for a few days now and informed me that the oil pump was not it and that they have no idea why they would say that because he's not sure how they would even check it when it was in the oil pan ... read more

My sister-in-law just got ripped off there. They charged her $50 for an oil change saying her car needed the more expensive 'high mileage' oil (it's a 2008 Mariner), then they didn't even check the air filter or other fluids and left the dipstick hanging halfway out. When we call to speak to a manager we get put on hold and never talk to anyone. This place just steals your money... read more

Not only are these guys kinda rude, the "mechanics" don't know what the heck they are doing. I took my vehicle here for an alignment after replacing my tie rods and bellow boots and the technician completely botched the job. He and the front desk guy claimed I had put on the wrong tie rods and that the alignment could not be fixed. In reality, the technician failed to remove the boot clip before turning the inner tie rod to adjust the toe. As a result, the boot got twisted until the tie rod could no longer turn. They destroyed my brand new boot and then had the incompetence and nerve to claim it was my fault. I took it home, replaced the boot they destroyed, and then took it over to the dealership for a quick alignment. She runs straight as an arrow now. Don't take your vehicle to these yahoos; they can't even do a simple alignment. read more

When it comes to car repairs, it's no fun being a woman who doesn't know a lug nut from a walnut. Such was the case when I went to an auto repair shop to have them look at why my air conditioning wasn't functioning at full capacity. The outer two front vents worked fine, pouring out cool air as best they could. But the center vents were stuck closed and the knob that turns them stripped. I asked this first shop to please take a look. Eight hours and the cost of a diagnostic later, they told me it was going to be $700 to pull off the dashboard just to further determine whether I had a bad air-conditioner motor or some such. I left there, head spinning and about to faint from the 104 temperature, when I happened upon the Firestone Tire and Service Center. I explained my scenario to Jeff and asked if he could take a look. I told him that while I'm certainly no mechanic, it seemed like the center vents were blocked and just needed some serious convincing -- and a crowbar or something -- to pry them open. He had me pull my car around and then hopped in, holding a tool or two that -- as I've already established -- I would not be able to justly identify. Five minutes later, cool air rushed from my center two vents. I almost cried with gratitude and when I went to pull out my wallet to pay Jeff waived me off. "Don't worry about it," he said. Something completely unexpected happened to my car on Saturday afternoon, so I called this Firestone location to see if they could fit me in first thing Sunday morning. They were able to set up an appointment without any problem, in spite of me unsuccessfully trying to explain what the problem actually was with my car. I don't know cars at all and definitely am not familiar with terminology to describe auto related things, but they were very patient with me in spite of me trying to tell them what was wrong. I dropped off my car the next morning and waiting around for about an hour to find out what the diagnosis was. I was happy to hear that they knew exactly what was wrong and were getting the parts in from another location to be able to finish the work that day. I ended up leaving for a few hours and came back later to my car being good as new (or as good as my car can be). They did point out a few things to consider for work in the future, but didn't put any pressure on me to make sure it was done immediately. All the work they did was itemized clearly on the invoice, as well as the work they suggested (including the pricing), and they also applied coupons and benefits that I wasn't aware of to the final bill. I was incredibly impressed with this Firestone from start to finish and will likely be back soon to take care of the other suggested work. read more

Used this location for service to family autos for many years. Manager and tech persons are knowledgeable and helpful always. Semi annual oil change and lubrication and installation of Firestone Winterforce tires/wheels performed. Thankful they discovered our 1999 Dodge Intrepid ES needed front axle brakes after 140,000 miles. Things just don't last as long anymore. (Smile). Glad it was discovered as we are driving holiday trip of 2,500 miles in December. Highly recommended Firestone Winterforce winter tires are on third winter season as they are removed each April 1st. For your information, these winter tires are superior to any other make or brand on the market, bar none. read more

Extremely disappointed in the ethical behavior of Firestone Complete Auto. Scheduled an appointment for tire rotation and to diagnose the exhaust noise. No problem with the tire rotation but to think that I would be so stupid as to believe that the exhaust diagnosis was "You'll need to replace the whole system, about $800 bucks." You must be joking! Trust in your company is now gone. Took my car to reputable auto service center and fixed and out the door in an hour, $130. New resonator is all that was needed. read more

They were already pretty full for the day but our situation was an emergency and he got us in and back on the road in less than an hour. Terrible customer service. They quoted me a price to have four tires mounted and balanced, and then when I got there to drop off the car, they tried to get me to sign off on a quote that was a little more than twice the quote I received on the phone. They told me it was because 45 profile tires are considered 'low profile'. I ended up taking it somewhere else and they did it for half what firestone was trying to charge. The guy at the counter was a jerk about it too, like i was inconveniencing him by bringing my car there, and he was doing me a favor by even doing the work at all. read more

I had gotten back from a work trip really late and woke up the next day to a nearly flat tire...and it was raining. I knew something was up with my tire since I had to air it up the day before I left town so I called this Firestone to see if I needed to schedule an appointment or if I could just bring it in (after airing it back up in the rain.) The guy who answered was so nice and said just to bring it by and they'd run me back to my office. They fixed it before lunch and it was an affordable fix. $63 for an oil change today. My Volvo dealer doesn't even charge that much. I've never paid more than $35 to change oil on this vehicle, which has been in there at least a dozen times. This place has really gone downhill since Skip left, and I think Mike is gone now, too. Of course they tried to sell me a few more services which I declined. I had to call three times to even schedule this appointment because they kept putting me on hold for 10 minutes at a time so eventually I just hung up and tried again later. I'm done with them, and I've spent thousands of dollars here over the years. Too bad, really. read more

Went to get my oil change and a single headlight fixed and I was shocked to find out the price to get my one headlight changed was $70. My total bill was $110 for both services. I will never go back. read more

Friendly service manager, decent oil change prices, and a waiting area with magazines. They give you a complimentary inspection and will tell you what if anything needs repair. Definitely more of a recommendation instead of pushing you to fix something right now. I would go back. read more

Worst service i have ever experienced. Very reckless guys no response have charged around $1300 for a part change the problem got worse after this and take them again this time they are different story. Took it to other mechanic and mechanic found the part was not replaced was shocked to hear that. actual problem was car engine getting heating and engine stopping middle and these people changed the radiant and charged $1300 solution is just to change the coolant. Top of it miss placed the coolant cap and no response. Very in efficient workers never ever preferred this any one also kind of same happened to my friends as well. read more

After rushing out of work to make sure I get to my appointment on time when I arrive at Firestone I'm told I don't have an appointment!! & how could this happen I ask?!? I was towed to Firestone after my car broke down in the middle of an intersection. I am from out of state, so you can imagine the stress I was feeling. Paul helped me the second I stepped in the shop, and after hearing my dilemma, he got my car right into a bay and his mechanic starting working on it immediately. They kept me posted throughout the whole process, never leaving me in the dark. They were up front and honest about all parts and labor charges, and they worked with me to get the best deal possible. As a woman who doesn't know a ton about cars and has been ripped off multiple times by mechanics, it was such a relief to finally go somewhere that cares about your situation rather than just making a buck. The mechanic who worked on my car (I feel terrible that I cannot remember his name) was quick, extremely knowledgeable, and so kind. I was on my way with a fixed car within the hour. Matt even carried my old axle to my car and put it in my trunk for me as I was leaving. I brought four new tires from them. The next day my car started vibrating whenever it reached 45mph. I took it back two days later to have tires balanced again. I asked if the problem is related to bad tires. No no. It's difficult to get the tires balanced d/t the tire being flushed against the rim. It took 2 of us to balance it. My tire comes back with a long white line on one of my tires. Took it out for test drive. Guess what? Vibrates at 45mph. I took my vehicle to a Toyota dealership to have my tires balanced once again. This time I was informed the two front tires were warped. I'm sure they knew the first time they attempted to Balance the tires that 2 were warped. My car had a total of 12 weights on the right rear tire and 9 on the other side. Never going back. read more
