Our families stayed in the health center, lodge, and electrified cabins, while our friends embraced the adventure of summer cabins and tents. The venue offers so many stunning spaces, from the spacious dining hall for meals to the stage/amphitheater with fire pits--perfect for s'mores and late-night stories. We exchanged vows at the top of a hill near the outdoor pavilion, with a gorgeous backdrop of pine trees and a view of Big Bear Lake in the distance. We were able to offer our guests camp activities like archery and a pool day, as well as had room to setup other activities like craft tables and lawn games. The biggest perk was the complete freedom to choose our own vendors, allowing us to create a truly personalized experience (huge shoutout to Scratch Kitchen for catering--our guests still rave about the food). We spent a year making signs, collecting décor, buying solar lights, and crafting to transform this Girl Scout camp into a full-blown wedding festival. If you're up for planning the details, this venue is the ultimate blank canvas. Last but not least, the Camp Osito Rancho team is absolutely amazing. I love Mount Laguna!!! I've been hiking and mountain biking out here for years. It's got such a…read morevaried landscape, ranging from huge desert overlooks to green meadows and trees. There is adequate parking along sunrise Highway pretty much anywhere you go. You are supposed to have an adventure pass to park here and they have a kiosk to pay for it but it never works. Fortunately if you have the America, the beautiful pass, you can put that on your dashboard and that will cover it. Today, my man and I went out and did a hike on the PCT portion to Foster point. Absolutely stunning, one of my favorite overlooks in the area. On this portion of the trail, there is very little tree cover and you've got to be careful not to get dehydrated. It was only 74° and it got toasty in the sun. We were out there for three hours, and I had 3 L of water. I drank pretty much all of it and a Gatorade bottle that I brought. If you come out here for biking, be sure to hit Los Gatos Trail. It's so flowy and fun and has a bunch of little features you can play on. Noble Canyon is a legendary trail but if you are going to ride it, make sure you've got strong bike skills because it is quite technical.

We could tell that the snow recently melted because parts of the trail was muddy. There are at least 4 trails here. The trails range from easy to moderate depending which one you go on. There's a place to store the trailer/motor home. There is an entrance fee. Lots of various track due to it being in the middle of no where. Showers are pretty awesome. Well maintained. 3 bathroom stalls, one is always out of order. 2 shower stalls, love. The. Water. Pressure. !!!!! So good. Has 15 minutes light and vent timer. Track waters down the whole bathroom after an event. Always have hand sanitizer and soap and paper towel. They just installed some new power outlets, but very few. Haven't used it yet, as I run off the motor home. Gas station available lowest being 91. Garages in the back but I believe they are all taken/sold out. Track owner pretty cool. Usually lunch from 12-1 on an event where if you're a member of the track you can ride unrestricted. Epic! Track itself goes counter clockwise and clockwise. Will be coming back each winter Oh! 4 stars because it's in the middle of the desert and I can't find permanent reference points so it's annoying... Recently re paved but chunks are coming up :( be careful!

It's hot..." We're part timers and we actually enjoy the summer months both here and at our other vacation property in Bullhead City, AZ. We do the usual swim time and go out on the lake in a boat where we live. We also go to Boomers down the street for the twilight specials. So, for the most part, my kids keep active. But this past Sunday, after mass, we decided to have breakfast at Dennys. From where I was sitting in our booth, I saw the sign for Zebra World Indoor Playground. I mentioned it at the table and my 3 young boys got really excited. Actually, my wife and I did, too, as the casino was literally across the street and we thought we could drop the kids off and spend some quality mama and Dada time. Sadly, no. When I called, at least one parent has to accompany the children. Sigh! The Sunday price was $24.99/ child with unlimited in's and out's. SOCKS are REQUIRED for all who enter, including adults. However, if you forgot to bring some, they charge $3.95 per pair. We decided to go back home (10 minutes away) rather than spend the $16.00 for the 4 of us. The temperature is nice and cool inside and my boys really, really enjoyed this place. We spent the better part of 3 hours here, got some snacks and took some pics. There are two obstacle courses, an indoor slide, and trampolines. The snack bar is just that, but they do offer hot dogs, chips, and sodas if you're so inclined. I saw a young orthodox couple with their child and I believe some of their prepackaged Blue Bunny ice creams are kosher. Almost every kid and parent there were polite. I didn't witness any disruptive behavior, which is nice, but also speaks well of the Valley in general. They have different party packages and we might consider this place for my 6 year old when he turns 7 in December. My boys had a blast here, made some new friends, and can't wait to come back. We timed the visit with our departure back to LA and it was one of the quietest car rides back, as my 3 guys were fast asleep after burning so many calories. Sure, $75.00 for a few hours of play is steep, but for that quiet ride home where my wife and I could actually talk to each other and hold hands, was priceless...
