We had some truck issues and weren't able to leave when planned so they helped us extend our stay and even towed our trailer to our new spot for us. I believe all sites are FHU and have cable. Pads are gravel and pretty level for the most part. There is a pond on the lower portion of the park with fish and frogs and beautiful trees lining that area. As well as a huge field. Slightly up the hill is the General Store with last minute items you might have forgotten for example snacks, drinks or even RV items. Not to mention there is a playground area. Closer to the top of the hill is a set up bathrooms with about 6-8 toilet stalls and about 4-6 shower stalls. (coin operated, 25 cents) Water pressure is good and water does get hot. Across from there is a pool. And a little further up is another pond that you can fish in. Permits are sold in the store. Campfires are allowed and there are quite a few fire pits and picnic tables scattered around the park. We were here last year for fourth of july and they put on a great firework show. As well as during treasure week, check out the details on their website. It's a pretty big deal around here.

Shade is important!! And so is green space. So don't be shy about asking, the owner is accommodating. Cons: after Labor Day the office is closed unless you call, the pool was also closed, and the main breaker for our row of sites (30 amp) kept blowing even though the row seemed to be filled with unoccupied campers & several empty sites. Pros: this is a large, well-maintained property with 2 ponds, a playground, nice pool with a small wading pool for little guys, an open-air game room, a small pavilion for their seasonal gatherings & activities, and a wildlife museum. The museum is more a large display of dead animals in the office but I think kids & guys probably would like it. WORKING WIFI!! Much advertised by campgrounds but rarely delivered, Fox Den delivers! They also provide several stations on cable. We would stay here again and thought it was a good deal for the Pittsburg area.

I've been coming for years and has been one of our highlights each fall. The only reason I'm not giving this a 5-star is because the local eating establishments have gone straight downhill. They really do make you feel like they are doing YOU the favor by serving you. We stopped at lunch at the Tavern only to have a young waitress who was very snippy and a menu indicating no substitutions for this event. Understanding that they were busy (even though there were tons of people working and not all that many people in the place yet as it just opened) we picked something from the menu and waited a very long time for our drinks and food. Once we were done, I thought she was going to blow her top when we asked for separate checks and were abruptly told we were not allowed to have the check broken out. We paid a lot of money for food that wasn't that great to be treated like crap. We then went for dessert at the food vendor area at market square. What a difference in kindness, service, and the raspberry cheesecake was delicious! We did a little shopping then went over to the bowling alley to grab a drink and have a seat. When we walked in, there were people at the bar area and a lot of empty tables so we had a seat. My friend grabbed her dessert while we were waiting to be waitied on and proceeded to take a few bites when a young girl came running over to tell us we were not permitted to bring in outside food then turned around in the same breath and stormed away. Fair enough, although taken aback by such rude aggressive behavior, we put ours away, but my friend proceeded to finish her 3 bites of ice cream before doing so. I'm sitting there scratching my head asking why the little witch didn't bother taking our orders when she came over while another young lady proceeds to come over and throw us out while the whole "busy" waitstaff was standing behind the bar smiling. We understood why no one was in the bowling alley as we left that place with a pretty overall bad feeling about the event. Next year we plan to stick with the vendors and stay out of the "regular" eating establishments. "They don't seem to care for outsiders" was our overall feeling for the day. They can do without our money too.

You get gorgeous views of Pittsburgh and beautiful fireworks for home runs and wins. We have been there for games and lots of concerts. Any seat in the house is a good seat for either type of event. There are also great concessions throughout all the park whether you want food or beer. They have concessions on all levels with American and local specialties. The line to get in was definitely long, but once we made it through security, it was such a nice surprise that everyone received a bobblehead. That was a huge improvement compared to the Pittsburgh Pirates Mac Miller bobblehead night, where I didn't receive one even with club tickets. The seats in Section 332 were great--easy to access and offered a really good view of the game. Even with the rain delay, the park handled things pretty well overall. The only downside was the ground level area, which got very crowded and a bit difficult to move through, but that's to be expected with weather delays and big crowds. I usually make it to a game about once a week during the summer, and experiences like this are exactly why I keep coming back. Always a fun time at the ballpark!
