I recently went back to PNC park for a Pirates game. At this point, you are visiting the park for the insane views. The Pirates are....the Pirates. per usual, PNC park has a variety of food and drink options, so there's something for everyone. There's a good mix of sitting and standing areas throughout the park in case you don't want to sit at your ticketed seat. Prices are about average. But, go for the views! I can't stress this enough lol.

Take me out to the ball game! Had a great time at Friday night's game cheering the Pirates to victory. Our seats were in section 120 which offered a great view of the game, the Pittsburgh skyline, and the postgame fireworks. Pierogi races, tshirt cannons and more! What a fun night!

The ballpark knows how to put on a fantastic in-game experience! We came for Roberto Clemente Day, and the energy was upbeat and amazing. The view of the skyline and bridge cannot be beat. Let me know if there's a better MLB ballpark with better views. There's a chicken stand that has seasoned fries and a sauce stand! I forgot what it was called but I highly recommend!

Stadium 25/30. Finally got a chance to make it to PNC Park. What a BEAUTIFUL park! One of my new favorites...definite top 5, probably top 3. Met up with a friend that we grew up with for the game. Bought tickets on a resale seller about an hour before the game and we got tickets right behind home plate, with $5.00 concession credits on each ticket, for only $15.00 each! SCORE! As soon as we sat down, Ohtani hit his 100th Dodger HR. Pretty cool to see, live. The view from your seats of the skyline of Pittsburgh is unmatched in baseball stadiums. Its such a perfect view and vibe! Pirates beat the Dodgers which was awesome! Got to walk around the whole park and take pictures and see the statues outside the gates etc. Had a great night with an old friend and my Brother and will definitely try to attend more games here in the future!

I'm from Southern California , Go dodgers ! That being said this is the most beautiful stadium I've ever seen and been too (Baseball wise) The seats are very comfortable not a bad view in sight The concessions are not out of the world pricing You can see the entire city in the background Defiantly worth taking that special someone to see the game even if the home team itself isn't very good The crowd is very into the game too and we made friends at the stadium the energy at this plays is everything you see in the movies or tv shows Will return !!!! Thank you pnc park

Glad we were able to catch a pirates game after my epic Ohio adventure. The park was beautiful next to the river, the prices were wildly reasonable (coming from CA), people were so nice (no fights) and easy to navigate. Loaded Pierogis and a yuengling were a must! It had to have been 4 lbs of food. Can't wait to come back!

Can have a kid-friendly experience if you get tickets or just spend time on the riverwalk. There's playgrounds, food, and even kids days on certain Sundays. Join the Bucaroos club to get special perks. Beautiful ballpark, always clean too!

I have to add this ballpark to my list of top ballparks in the MLB. They do a good job at many different things. Concession stands are plentiful and they did something really smart.. they put drink vendors separate so the lines never get too long if you just want a beer or bottled water. The same is true for food .. lines don't get clogged up with people just wanting a drink. Restrooms are clean and plenty of them. The energy in the stadium is good and kept alive with the scoreboard videos, music, etc...

We came into PGH to take in a game on the bucket list to see a game in every MLB park and this was my 4th this summer. The city shuts down traffic on block next to the stadium to create a great space with the bars to hang out and roam. I will say I was super impressed with our seats in section 212 row A seat 1-3. I had no idea i had bought club level seats. This section of seats had private interior club space for eating with tables and food options as well as outside standing tables as well. The park was fantastic with great city views!! I highly suggest coming to a ball game here and get up in section 226-210 and you will love it

I don't think you can get a better view in all of sports - looking right out onto the river with the bridges and skyline framing the view from home plate. The experience was pretty cool - great status and retired number displays outside the ballpark, and plenty of cool spots inside the park as well. The food was a little underwhelming, but that's fine. Lots of cool things for kids to do before the game around the concourse which was great to see. A must visit stadium for any baseball fan!

Happy to say these past 2 games for Buc's Luau brought the review up to a 5... We returned (4 plus hour drive) specifically for the giveaways, and there was no chaos as the crowd was here for the game and not for the Mac Miller bobble head. Awesome navigating through the stadium and this time enjoyed the park and got to take it in... *huge thank you to the Pirates for offering giveaway shirt sizes in Small-- something that I could actually wear ( and did) *awesome and friendly ushers, and again thanks to the organization for showing baseball etiquette on the Jumbotron and hand held signs so real fans like us can enjoy the games *mahalo for real Polynesian entertainment yesterday at the block party and on the field pregame *missed Ball Girl Haley while she was on vacation, but yay to BG Sarah for her great fielding **great variety in team shops *great pirate themed play structure, bridge play structure, sir brushed tattoos etc! Very family friendly Thanks again, PNC!!!

Great stadium with lots of food options! They have hot dogs, burgers, crab fries, nachos and more. The nachos were so good and were gluten free. It was super easy to navigate around the stadium. The view from the stadium is unmatched. Highly recommend catching a game here sometime!

I am headed to PNC park for a 1:00 game on August 2 (Tuesday). We have the option of taking a Sprinter van that seats 9 (there are 8 of us) but I am not sure we will be ale to park it in one of the lots? Does anyone have any advice?

There are many ground lots with no height restrictions and you can reserve a space online prior to arrival: https://www.mlb.com/pirates/ballpark/transportation/parking

They are also great about leaving out disinfectant wipes for people to help clean up. You will get a pre-workout walking up "cardiac hill" to get to there, but I suppose your upper thigh areas will thank you. I think the gym is only for students, so you get a steady crowd of freshman and twenty-somethings who are more focused on their own physique, instead of various versions of Older Lurchy Guy - you know, that dude who has ulterior motives for showing to the big-chain health clubs. If you can get in, go get your workout on!!!

Why is it that some older acts continue to play the same…read moreold songs year after year, touring the beer/rib festivals, and generally sounding worse and worse playing rote versions of their most obvious hits? Hootie & the Blowfish and Gin Blossoms were already on this circuit only a few years after their biggest hits. I think I saw an ad once for Foghat appearing at a local car dealership. The Beach Boys? We won't even discuss them. Whereas other veteran artists continue to pay attention to their craft and continue to write and record solid music even if it doesn't sell as well as it used to. They still sell the larger venues and still put an effort into their shows. I'm talking acts like John Mellencamp, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Robert Plant, Carlos Santana, John HIatt, Bonnie Raitt, and a few others. They also seem adept at attracting younger fans. Neil Young clearly falls into the latter category. And that's who my brother Paul, my dad & I saw this past week at the Pete. Neil Young is clearly an intergenerational artist. The dad loved his music the first time around and the bro and I got into him back in the 1990s when he started appearing with Pearl Jam, Nirvana, & others. Neil Young is also multifaceted. You're either going to get Acoustic Neil (a la the movie "Neil Young: Heart of Gold") or you're going to get the hard rock, distortion, fuzz tone Neil, especially when he plays with Crazy Horse. And that's what we got! Curiously, the set began with Neil's roadies setting things up, dressed either as construction workers or lab technicians/scientists. One of 'em, apparently the leader (wearing an Albert Einstein wig), was giving directions as faux amps were lifted out of their faux crates. Then they applauded themselves as a huge novelty vintage mic was set up center stage. It was really bizarre, especially when you consider that Neil Young is not known for his sense of whimsy. They also played a prerecorded version of the "Star Spangled Banner", but since Neil's Canadian, shouldn't they have first played "O Canada" like at the ballgame? The band then went into thundering versions of some of their best known material like "Love and Only Love" and "Powderfinger". He then went into a new song (don't roll your eyes), "Walk Like a Giant" which addresses some of his generations successes and failures. "Walk Like a Giant" ranks up there with the best he's ever done. And those of us who like Acoustic Neil were treated to a haunting version of "The Needle and the Damage Done" and "Twisted Road", an homage to Bob Dylan and Roy Orbison. Oddly enough, Neil Young & Crazy Horse did not perform any material of their 2012 album, "Americana". But we did get "Cinnamon Girl", "Hey Hey, My My", and "Like a Hurricane", which was the encore. The song "Hey Hey, My My" tells us "It's better to burn out/than it is to rust". Ironically, sitting there I could not believe I was watching a 67 year old man on stage.

My first clue was that I discovered this museum was not specific to Pittsburgh. In fact, it's part of a privately owned museum chain, one of over sixty identical museums across over 25 countries. I came here because I had a free morning trying to avoid the wintry weather. I decided to make stops on the North Shore along the Three Rivers Heritage Trail. Clearly, not every stop is a landmark. This museum appears to be targeted to either young families with hyperactive kids and Instagram-addicted tourists. Falling somewhat into the latter category, I found the admission rather steep at $25 for what looked to be a relatively small scale space. I paid that same amount for both Carnegie Museums (Art and Natural History). This museum consisted of a series of interactive exhibits that create optical illusions. There were several spinning wheels, tilted spaces, distorted rooms, and mirrored illusions. My walkthrough lasted around fifteen minutes. Kids were anxious to go through the exhibits at breakneck speed, and my attention span was rarely stimulated by the exhibits. In visiting this museum, at least I won't be curious about the sixty other Museums of Illusions. RELATED - Exploring Pittsburgh?
