It all started with an interview with the kids (ages 9 & 15) to see if they would like it. They enjoyed the free private lesson. The instructor was CLEAR in saying that it would take time and he CLEARLY ASKED if we wanted to make the commitment. We signed a contract because we were clear about the commitment were making to the school in order to achieve our goals. In a month I've lost 10 lbs and I feel great! We love it and are here to stay!

We had already paid for an additional year (after a year you're pushed into a three year contract) and Master Berry refused to refund the 3rd year. We walked away mainly because the kids were not learning Tae Kwon Do. If you're an adult looking for a school that's different but they don't teach kids much of anything I'm sorry to say. After an evaluation the new school started my kids at white belt because they simply didn't know much. They each spent two weeks just learning to correctly perform basic stances, blocks, punches and kicks. To me that's sad after training for 3 years. I didn't check other schools before we started at the RT Berry school and got locked into the three year contract because that was to take them to black belt. I see someone with a black belt as having mastery in the art. That's not how it is as the RT Berry school. Kids get a child black belt which simply means they've been training 4 years. And what ever you do go and talk to and try out several schools before you choose one. After school program do not do this unless you want to pay 600 in equipment. They won't allow used…read moreequipment but your child can use nothing and risk injury. This is a scam if your kid does not like the program and even if they breech the agreement you still have to pay out the full tear. They have refused to respond to any if my concerns. There is not any area for children to sit at tables and do homework they sit on the floor in the audience area which is very small and crowded. This is not a real after school program it is one if the worst decisions I've made. We have tried to stick it out but it's been very unpleasant my concerns were never even addressed by the program leaders. Join if you like giving money away and If you don't mind a child in tears at least once a week. Also plan to find alternative care for many days as this does not operate like a traditional after school program. I won't give all details as I don't want to trash this place but I do want to warn others it advertising as after school but not typical program you would find treat it ass any other sales preditor program they want $$$.
