I called in to see about getting a key copied (onto a blank I already have) for my Moto Guzzi Norge. It's a laser cut key with a transponder, and I don't have the equipment to program the new keys. The person I spoke to on the phone told me they couldn't clone the existing key's code to the new key, and that for a simple key copy, their service (mobile only) would be pricier than a brick and mortar shop. So since my review on Ben we have had to use his service for 2 more times. translate I've used Ben's service 3 times in the last 12 months. The last two times was because I opened up my own office and we needed to change locks in the place. The alarm guy came and we realized the landlord never gave us any key for one of the doors that now needed to be open for the alarm to be tested. The landlord said his locksmith people can be there in 2 hours and the price was going to be high because there's an emergency fee. Ben came within 40 minutes and helped open the door for the alarm guy to finish installation. He also made keys for us so we can open the door with no keys. Ben responded to texts, brought a lock to match the previous one that could be rekeyed to match our other locks (based on a pic I texted him), and even came back at the end of the day because I'd forgotten about the two other doors (without tacking on another minimum charge). Also, he showed up about 25 minutes after I first texted him. Also, he finished everything within ten minutes (including fixing a loose knob I hadn't even noticed - gratis). Very affordable - $59 minimum charge, plus $19 for each additional re-key, and charged me cost for the replacement lock. It would have taken me like four trips to Home Depot/Lowe's to get a proper replacement. Hopefully I won't need any more re-keying or locksmithing done, but if I do.... My wife and I separated 10 days ago, and she has been moving her best items out over the last two Saturdays. I decided this morning to check on my coin collection that I inherited from my Aunt prior to us getting married. It's value was ~$20,000 and included lots of different complete collections of Indian Head Pennies, Peace Silver Dollars, Mint Coin Sets. It's gone. Two years ago she had spent a lot of time listing the coins and getting them appraised. I didn't understand why since they were my inheritance and my coins. Arrival time: 35-45 min. Price not guaranteed until work can be inspected. Needless to say, I went w First Bay Locksmith. Ben came out to my home; arrived when he said that he would; did the job in a flash; smart; courteous; answered all my questions; gave me extra keys. Great job!!!!
