I went here a few days ago and tested positive for COVID and strep. The only medication I was given was a mild antibiotic. I called back four (4) days later, still experiencing symptoms and asked if there was anything else they could do for me. I was told I would have to come back in and be retested. Why? For another office visit fee? This place is ridiculous and I will never ever be back. Please consider finding a "real" physician's office that cares. I'm not sure why they call themselves First Care. In my opinion, they do not care in the least. Think twice before going here, folks. Don't waste your time, energy, or money. Epic failure on all fronts. I'm a Pharmacy Technician and would warn people against this place. I don't know if all locations are the same, but the Frankfort clinic is practically useless, even dangerous. They send people out with 6-12 prescriptions, none of which their insurance will cover because they are all over-the-counter medications. They end up costing well over a hundred dollars. In addition they will frequently duplicate medication classes, 2 antihistamines, 2 cough syrups, 2 pain relievers, 2 sore throat medications, etc. This can be dangerous. I'm not sure what the scam is, or if they're just hiring wildly unqualified personnel. Please avoid this place. read more

The nurse practician on 1/2/2023 was HORRIBLE!!! I have been there several times for chronic ailment that 35% adults 50 or younger have. So, it's common. I was only there because I had a flare up holiday weekend and needed my antibiotics. The nurse practician without "even" giving me an examination decided to rebuttal how to treat ailment. A condition that I have been living with for over 18 years. She wanted to debate my symptoms because she was clearly unfamiliar with my condition, so she wanted to argue to hide her inexperience. I had to remind her that I was diagnosed by several GI doctors, specialist, had CT scans, have been prescribe medicine to alleviate for this for years, why I needed this particular medication. I even hand on the empty bottles when I had last prescribed. Her response "I won't have prescribed them". She wanted me to use a heating pad for an intestinal infection. I responded "Check my file here... This is what you'll diagnosed and prescribed each time I was here. Check my file...". She said "Oh. Ok. I will. I'm not sure why the others did". What's insane!!! She should have already done that before seeing me or have it in hand??? She was gone for about ten minutes and said "I sent the order in". Of course, she prescribed the wrong ones and I had to explain to her why, and then she sent in the correct antibiotics but the wrong amount; not enough to eliminate the infection, so I had to see my regular doctor to get another script. First Care is a SCRAPSHOOT!!! Scheduling :( I called to schedule an appointment and the receptionist said that she doesn't do appointments. They only do appointments online and non-appointment walk-ins. I scheduled an appointment online for that afternoon and then I drove to First Care as a walk-in. She now tells me they are not doing walk ins and I can schedule you an hour and a half later. What the difference!!! Why couldn't I have just made appointment on the phone??? FYI - My walk-in appointment was 3 hours earlier than I online appointment. The only good thing there was the assistant named Bethenny. She was professional and kind. Best Advice - See a doctor and not a Nurse Practitioner!!!. Doctors have more experience and education. Google the difference between to the two and you will be amazed. I would be an the hospital emergency room right now if it wasn't for my persistence. Not everyone is that determined. Be smart with your health. :) read more

I was seen for having dierreah for a week, all they did was push on my stomach and say it was a stomach virus but yet here i am again later in the week and it's still hurting and the probiotics are not helping..should have went to my PCP instead! Wasted my time. read more

I went last week for what I'm pretty sure was CTS, but they had just sent home a radiologist, who had nothing to do. But before going on with the appointment, the nurse practitioner told me that and that I could leave and come back the next day and this visit would be free. I left, and was very appreciative that I received that information before going on. Well today, I received a letter from them, along with a $10 Speedway fuel gift card! Worst experience ever !!! When first I arrived, in September 2017, I went through the usual signing in process. Was asked for my ID and insurance card, typical. Never was it discussed while waiting about the payment options. Sign on the wall said visits were $59. Was taken to a room and soon after the lady up front came in and said I owed $50 today for my visit, this was unusual I thought but she said she ran it through my insurance and had just gotten a reply back. I gave her my FSA card thinking she must know what she is doing. Came in there suffering from a kidney stone, extreme pain and blood in my urine, so I peed in a cup for them which I expected, having worked in a medical lab for 2 1/2 years. The lady that came in to see me was ONLY AN RN, not a Nurse Practitioner or a Doctor, again very unusual. She said they found no blood in my urine, hard to believe. I had spoken to a local Gastroenterologist earlier that day and they advised me to get an X-ray, so they could review it when I could get an appointment in 3-4 weeks, if I was still suffering. When I asked the nurse for one here, they said their machine was useless for kidney stones. I asked again stating that it may still show something, stones are calcium deposits and are similar to bone. She said it is a waste of time for them to do it. She listened to my lungs, not the problem. Poked me in my kidneys and asked if I had any pain there, I did not. I told her the pain was further south, if you catch my meaning. She prescribed a 5-day supply of antibiotics and kicked me out the door. Now to the billing, apparently I signed a BLANK CHECK !!! I was told that I owed $50 for my visit that day !!! In November 2017 I was sent not only a BILL from Labcorp, with NO RESULTS mind you, saying I owed them $8.54 expected, but unexpectedly, also a bill from First Care demanding another $34.09 !!! When I called their billing division and spoke to Stacy to discuss it she threatened me saying curtly they would "just send it to collections." Having gotten my fill of her attitude I asked to speak to her supervisor, several minutes later and certainly after coaching from Stacy, another lady, Wendy gets on the phone and flatly denies that there is a sign on the wall stating $59 and that their office visits are posted stating $95 per visit, PREPOSTEROUS!!! Wendy promised me that she would have this bill placed in review (lie)and that I would see a revised bill in a week (lie). Two days ago on 01-31-18 I received a "FINAL NOTICE" bill for guess what ?... $34.09. The real kicker here is, after failing to get an appointment for my ACUTE condition at my PCP AND a local Gastroenterologist, I was actually headed to The Little Clinic at Kroger right across the street and opted to go to First Care, I wish I had NEVER came to First Care Clinics !!! This review is regarding First Care Clinics on Versailles Road, not to be confused with Urgent Care next to Kmart or The Little Clinic at Kroger. I've been to both of these clinics and had GREAT experiences. read more
