I reached out to the Dentistry for Children 's Douglasville office today to schedule an appointment…read morefor my child. Unfortunately, I was unable to secure an appointment due to a mistake on the part of the office. This was quite disheartening, especially considering the long-standing history my children have had with this office and their ortho office. All 3 of my children have been patients of this office. While I understand that dental offices can be very busy, especially ones that specialize in pediatric care, I felt that the situation could have been handled better. "Andrea", the person who answered the phone was extremely rude and unwilling to even entertain the idea that her computer could have been wrong (she stated that my child hadn't been seen since 2018, and I know for a fact that she had been cleaning in late 2022 because I sat outside the office. She told me that my daughter would have to find another office as, at 16 - she is considered an adult (?!?!?). Andrea placed me on terminal hold and after what seemed like forever, I finally hung up. She did not attempt to contact me or reach out. Clearly, the level of care in both offices has gone severely downhill as my son has had his braces on since October of 2018. They completely abandoned my son during Covid, and then told him to find an ortho at college, dragging his treatment out for 5 YEARS. (2 years longer than he needed). They refused to see him for cleanings, despite having botched his care (malpractice). His braces are still on!!! Today was the final push I needed to realize that despite my efforts to work with this office and remembering how they were pre- Covid, they are simply not the best place for my children, or anyone else's. Missing records, attempts to abandon patients, zero communication. I hope my feedback will be taken as an opportunity for the clinic to improve its process and care, ensuring a better experience for other families but I do not see it happening.

While…read morethis is a business and meant for profit, their customer service and care for individuals is severely lacking. When I call to make appointments, I wait an average of 10 minutes to speak with an employee. My children and I waited for 50 minutes to be seen in April 2021. Our appointment was at 10:00, and we arrived earlier than the appointment time. I politely asked for an update at 10:25 and 10:40. An employee finally came to get my children for their appointments at 10:50. (We had been waiting in the car due to limited seating inside for Covid-19 protocol.) Of the three people that I spoke with during the wait, only one was apologetic or acknowledged the long wait time past our scheduled appointment time. I called that afternoon to cancel all future appointments and deactivate our account. I mentioned that we did not have a good experience that morning and plan to move our children to a different practice. The employee handling the deactivation did not ask for me to explain or elaborate on my experience. She did not apologize for a poor experience. She simply told me that my account was no longer active and to have a nice day. My family will no longer give business to this company as they do not value the individual person.

I have to report all went well.I really want to focus on customer service in the review. Everytime I've had any contact with the office they are extremely courteous. They make you feel welcomed and they are so very good with children. They really do treat them like family. Special thanks goes to Tommie. She is so sweet and she made my visit really pleasant. It was a room full of kids and the parents but yet Tommie managed to provide individual care and concern. You know the kids are allowed to eat after 12 AM so you can imagine how frustrated these babies were, but she made sure everybody was happy. We checked in at 7:30 and my son was called back at about 9:45. I took him back and they did an xray while I met the anesthesiologist and the dentist who will perform the work. The anesthesiologist gave my son a shot in his arm which made him woozy in about 5 mins that's when I had to lay him on the papoose and leave out the room as the anesthesiologist was about to begin the sedation process. That part was hard for me because my son although he really wasn't alert he was crying and then I cried. Walking back out to the waiting room there was Tommie waiting for me with open arms. The total procedure lasted about 45 mins and then he went into recovery where he stayed another 15. I hope he never has to have another dental procedure again but I do know that if so he will be in great hands!!

I brought my child to this office expecting a welcoming and well-organized environment, especially…read moresince it is a pediatric practice. Unfortunately, my experience was the opposite due to poor management. The manager, Theresa , was noticeably rude and dismissive, which made the visit uncomfortable. There was a lack of clear communication, and the overall flow of the office felt disorganized. Instead of being helpful or patient, management came across as short-tempered and unprofessional, which is concerning in a setting meant for children and families. A dental visit can already be stressful for kids, and the tone set by management did not help at all. I would not recommend this office unless there are significant improvements in how management interacts with parents and handles situations.

They do…read moregive you a printed 'treatment plan' for what you need after your exam but they don't explain fully what's needed, for which tooth/teeth, why and the price associated. The other 'issue' is that they don't offer gas for patients that don't like needles for procedures. They are hard to reach by phone. Most times I'm calling back to back or leaving a voicemail. Also, if you have an issue with your bill (which I did), they are not customer service friendly in that regard. The person they have handling the financial aspect of billing works remote in another state. I was told that they had to check with her but didn't know when she would respond to them and/or when she would get to resolving my issue. On that note, if you do go here, ask them to do a pre-authorization to your insurance BEFORE your appointment so they don't overcharge you.

Normally I have a pretty decent experience with my visits today was not as such. I had an appointment for 1100, which I always arrive early for any appointment. 1130 comes Noone has said anything to me I approach the front desk to be told give them a few minutes they were cleaning a room for me. I was fine with that, twenty plus minutes still waiting. I finally ask again and it's like deer in the headlights. So I said I'll just reschedule as I have been here for a few minutes shy of a hr and I'm sitting outside waiting. The dentist was aware of the delay, the staff was aware of the delay and nothing was said until I approached the desk to inquire. The kicker was two of the three people who came after 11 were seen before me. This is totally inappropriate, no type of options were given due to the inconvenience.
