I had front-end work and an alignment performed by First Choice Auto on 4/3. Just over a week later, on 4/11, I purchased a full set of new tires from Les Schwab. By 5/30, the front tires were already severely worn down to the cords and had to be replaced. Les Schwab inspected the truck and documented that the alignment was significantly out of specification. This negligence forced me to pay out-of-pocket for two replacement tires and a second alignment to correct the issue. I provided First Choice Auto with the documentation, the measurement readings, and the exact timeline, giving them an opportunity to address the failure. Unfortunately, they refused to offer a satisfactory resolution. Based on this experience, I am highly disappointed with both the quality of their alignment work and their refusal to stand behind their service once the failure was brought to light. read more

Bring your vehicle here every time. They go the extra mile. They took our emergency oil leaking jeep in at 4:45pm, when they close at 5pm, were able to diagnose and chose to stay late and finish the job so we could get home tonight. DJ is a rock start mechanic who showed us the problem and fixed it. Over the top excellent diagnosis, service and attitude! They even bought us pizza and drinks since it was late. WOW!! read more

Had an emergency major oil leak after a faulty repair elsewhere. Smoking potential combustion kind of oil leak. DJ to the rescue. We are from out of town and our teen kids are in a cabin waiting on us to return. He offered to stay even though we pulled in 15mins before closing!! He asked the owner could he help us. Got a thumbs up and he was pushing our car into the bay. Unbelievable. He saved us saved our car fixed it on the spot- and they only charged us for the labor- turning our part in under a warranty. We have taken our cars in a couple of times... a VW bug and Toyota Prius. Michael, the owner, is very knowledgable and communicative. The service they preform is high quality and speedy. As for specific service: The bug had an issue with the fly wheel. They were able to diagnose and fix within a week. The prius needed wheel alignment. They aligned the wheels quickly and were also able to put on the plates and take a listen to another concern of mine. Recently the prius was making a weird noise in the engine. Michael was able to take in the car right away and diagnose the issue with a leak in the head gasket. They were able to get started on the work right away and the price quoted was compared to estimates online. Always quick, professional, and friendly service! read more

Traveling into Shelton for a work assignment, my car suddenly needed repair...my complex engine failure was repaired at reasonable cost, within one day, by knowledgable & skilled mini specialists. The kindly business owner taxied me to and fro my job site and one of the gentlemen, a self-professed perfectionist, couldn't resist fixing the dangling bumper on my mini. For free. It was pure serendipity, my car died and rolled right into a car repair shop that was about to hang a sign announcing a subspecialty in mini cooper repair. Brought my car here after an accident and needed to have work done on my front bumper. I understand the hardship of finding the correct parts in a timely manner, but the communication from Christina the secretary on the status of things was non existent. originally brought my car in on 1/26/2024 and finally picking it up 3/14/2024. Christina never once called to tell me a quote, the status of parts being delivered or when my vehicle was ready to be picked up. When I asked the reason for her lack of communication, her response was "I have been too busy". This is unacceptable in the eyes of a customer. When first deciding whether To fix my car or move onto another one, Christina pushed for me to total my car and get a new one which very much came across as a secretary not wanting to do their job and opting for the easier choice. This in addition to the extreme lack of communication on her end, draws me to the conclusion that Christina does not do her diligence in understanding what working in customer service looks like. I would never recommend someone to bring their car here unless you have the time to harass this establishment on the status of your vehicle. First Choice Auto should look into a new business name because I would never recommend someone to get service done here. read more

This place is unprofessional , they will say what ever it takes to get you in there and then not stand by their word. They told us they would have our rig done in one day and it took 6 days for them to even look at it! They did very poor work and it needs repair from their repair and they refuse to make it right. Whats a ripoff. They say they do maintanance repair on mercedes well they made an appt for me at 8am monday didnt even look at it till friday. Then said the diagnostic tool they needed was stolen from the shop and they have to wait for a new one. 2 weeks later i called them again and was told i needed a part the car dosent even have. We have been to many auto shops in Shelton. We recommend this one because they have always done what we've asked and it runs better even! The prices are also very fabulous, much lower than we've experienced with other local shops. The MOST IMPORTANT thing for us, is they don't replace misc. parts until they finally have found the problem like some other shops, they get it right the first time.
