As a testament to this, by Tim's own advice, my husband and I ended up getting a loan from an entirely different lender! I was very impressed with Tim's honesty when he identified that a particular bank had access to a rate and rebate package (due to that bank's partnership with the builder) that he simply couldn't offer. Even then, that didn't stop him from giving us great financial advice. There is no question in my mind that we would not have been able to afford our house if it were not for Tim. He spent a great deal of time listening to us and educating us on how if we restructured our borrowing strategy, we could access rates and lower fees that somehow none of the other lenders were telling us about. When you speak with Tim, you can tell his mind is running at maximum strength, coming up with ways to save you money - not just at the closure of Escrow, but months and even years later. It was like watching one of those expert Rubik's cube solvers.
