Being courteous, professional and patient unfortunately is not the way to work with this company. I dropped off my car at First Choice Paint & Body on 8/15/25, and as of 9/11/25 (almost a month later), I still do not have my car. On 8/22, I called for an update and was told they hadn't heard from my warranty company, SilverRock. Instead of following up themselves, I had to call SilverRock, gather the issue IDs, and give them directly to the body shop. On 8/22, they promised my car would be ready by 8/28-8/29. On 8/28, when I called, they pushed the date back to 9/4-9/5. On 9/3, they moved it again to 9/8-9/9. On 9/9, I was told the license plate holder needed to be replaced and that I should just buy one myself. On 9/10, they said it would take another 3-5 business days for SilverRock to cut them a check. At this point, it's been nearly four weeks, and I still don't have my car. The biggest issue has been the lack of communication and initiative. They only called me proactively once during this entire process--I had to contact them every other time. Their business process is ineffective, and customer service is essentially non-existent. As for the quality of their work--I can't even comment because I still don't have my car. Based on this experience, I'd rate them 0 out of 10 for service and accountability. read more

We originally met with these folks last November about replacing the worn headlights on my wife's vehicle and mentioned to Andrew that we have had an issue with the window trim on our 2013 Audi since the quarter panel was replaced by another shop late in 2021. Called to have the Audi looked at thinking the the window trim needed to be replaced, Andrew took a few minutes to check on the condition of the trim and associated panels around the door. Andrew concluded that the trim and panels had never been properly reinstalled after the body work from the shop that did the work on the quarter panel in 2021. It literally took five minutes to snap the trim and panels into place and correct the issue. What a blessing these folks are! Do NOT take your car here. Avoid this shop. Poor work. Lazy paint job. Poor customer service. And they do not use OEM parts. Use aftermarket parts. Alignment on bumpers is horrible. You're better off waiting for an appointment at a high quality facility. If you are not attentive to detail this is your shop. If you care about the quality of work go elsewhere. Nice owner though. This is a great no BS, no hassle, straightforward auto body shop. This is the second time I've use this shop and I'm equally as satisfied as my first. Work was clearly explained, quoted, ordered, replaced, painted and delivered on time. I'm not a typical five star guy, the extra star is for Corky, the production manager. The few times I called for whatever, he remembered me and answered what I was calling for before I typically asked the question. He provided after sales support by dealing with my insurance company. I took my car here to get painted as they did a great job on our neighbor's car. Rex at Choice Auto was nice to work with. He is honest and thourough and made sure my car was completed on time. I dropped off my car on a Wednesday afternoon, it was worked on all day Thursday and I picked it up on Friday. The prices are affordable and the work they did on my car is awesome, it's like new! A few suggestions, if I were to do it again I would have gotten my car washed first. You see, I picked up a perfectly painted car but my tires, wheels and windows were gross and I was not able to wash my car for a week. It was like having your make up done but not brushing your teeth and having unplucked eyebrows, ya get it? My only qualm with the place, and the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5, is that they did not wipe down the inside of my car. I had my front bumper repaired last year and when I had some additional work this year for an unrelated event the body shop told me that First Choice completely screwed up the installation broke tabs off the headlights ,used glue instead of retaining Clips a completely unprofessional job and said it would take $1,200 to fix their poor work. When I called about it they did nothing , the manager said they would do something but did absolutely nothing. Go somewhere else these people will rip you off! read more

I got a front bumper paint matched for $685 from this business. They quoted me two days, so I rented a vehicle for the time being, and it ended up being 8 full days before I got my truck back. I was not happy with the customer service, but the paint job was done well. I have a small dent in my passenger side rear door that I have already gotten the majority of the dent out. I called for a quote and was told to email the pictures and my number, after waiting three days and still no call. I decided to give them a call and explain my frustration and they told me to hold on they will give me a call in a minute with the quote. For a 12"x8" paint match that has already gotten the dents and a primed and ready for paint, they quoted me $1,484. Said it would take 13.2 hours of labor. These people obviously are not consistent with their work and has been the worst customer services I have ever taken my vehicle to. Would not recommend, strictly on the fact of how unprofessional these people are. read more

Ok, so I got into another car accident unfortunately and since I was so happy with the results with this place the first time I came back. I even compared prices again with other auto body shops to make sure this place is giving me the best price again and without fail they did. I had to get my back bumper replaced and they charged me 400 plus a free touch up on my other scratches on my door, whereas another body shop charged me 750 just for the bumper. First, their services include MORE than just body work. My wife's 2006 Murano needed repainting on the entire hood. The Topcoat was removed when I tried to remove some scratches, with Maguire's "scratch remover". I never heard the end of her complaints. In addition, her driver side window motor stopped working, AND, the rear trunk latch wouldn't open. I didn't want to spend a fortune on this older vehicle. The estimates from Nissan mounted into the $$$ thousands. When I first met Laura , the receptionist, I found a friendly face. The estimates were beyond reasonable......$350 for the hood, and $200 to fix the window/trunk. I was praying that the work would be completed before my wife returned from an OOT meeting. I was also praying that the quality of workmanship would be good. The paint job was "Better than New". The window worked. The trunk lid now opened with the remote. Shocked!! Laura even offered me a cold Pepsi, while my wife marveled at the car. Now, my wife doesn't want to buy a new car.....OMG. I have already recommended Choice to a number of friends. They were also pleased with the service. Should I ask for a discount on my next trip back there? Not at those low prices. :)) read more

A guy I knew told me about Choice Auto body and their quality work for a reasonable cost, so I decided to give them a try; and I'm glad I did. They were professional, honest, and highly communicative (which is very important to me) letting me know every part of the process and providing pictures of my project as it passed through the different stages of completion. How is it possible that everyone is getting the 5 Star service instead of me? I've simply wanted my door trims including the mirror base that is connected to the door painted shiny black just like the BMW dealership. They delivered the product mat black like it was a spray paint from Walmart. I thought it was going to go through another painting phase bc it looked like they just primered it. They didn't even touch the mirror base. When they removed the masking tape it looked jagged on the edges. Not sharp. I have pictures just in case! I've brought in a bumper lip to have installed, but first needed it painted. I brought it in 6 days prior to returning hoping that it would be ready for installation, but it peeled when they started drilling the holes! Yikes! They do not show the customers respect by at least placing a paper mat on the floor. My car mat was clean before I brought it in. I've also noticed that there are minor scratches on my passenger side fender. I am now very hesitant about letting them install the bumper lip. I hope they align it correctly. Laura is customer service friendly, but she assumed that I wanted my door trim the color she envisioned and not what I asked for. I have to now wait for a call from them to get my bumper lip installed and the door trim repainted. I didn't even get an apology. If they would've done it right the first time. There wouldn't need to be a second time. More unnecessary trips to racking up miles and burning pricey gas. I have to say since being in San Antonio, a lot of businesses have tested my patience. Wanting a pretty penny like serving bud light in a champagne glass. Come on. Can someone get this city's shit together?! read more

Recently I took my vehicle(2016) to choice to have a damaged bumper replaced . When I took my vehicle to this establishment the rear sensor and camera were in perfect condition. This was conveyed at the time I had the initial estimate made on my vehicle, The vehicle was dropped off the day after the bumper was ordered and painted. The car was dropped off (approx. 11:30) ,at that I was told the vehicle would be ready at 5:30pm . At 5:15 I arrived at this establishment....the bumper was just being installed. The was being slammed on by the installer, who seemed to be having some trouble putting the bumper on, after several minutes , I was informed my vehicle as ready.My son who was with me was with me paid the remaining balance and we left the facility. The following day, while the car was in my driveway I noticed a gap with visible metal showing were the bumper had been put on, the pieces to hold the cameras in place was missing (leaving a gap on each side) and the rear backup sensors no longer worked ,and the rear camera was fuzzy. I notified the shop I would be returning to have the problems fixed. I returned to the shop on Thursday ,Dan Ashley got in the car verified the back up sensor wasn't working .Dan stated he would call Infiniti to find out why the sensor would not work and he would get back with me. I waited to hear from Dan, and did not hear from him . I again went in to the shop on Wednesday and was informed at that time a new sensor was ordered(the old sensor was not broken) and I would be notified when the new one came in. the following day I was notified the part (sensor) was in and to come the beginning of next week to have it installed. I returned the followed Wednesday. As I entered the door, a female employee came up to me "let me have you key". I felt as if I had done something wrong and was treated as if I had . No one spoke to me, they treated me as if I were an inanimate object . AS I waited for my vehicle , I went out to my car to see what was being done , there was a lot of fumbling . They did not know how to fix the sensor ,I was then told by BILL TURNER ,I needed to take it to the dealer. THE SENSORS AND CAMERAS all worked perfectly when I brought it to the shop and wanted to have it the way I brought it in . Bill started yelling at me "WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO" another female employee came out standing were I was , then told me to leave the property. THEY BROKE MY CAR AND THEY WANTED ME TO LEAVE BECAUSE I WAS UPSET ABOUT IT????BILL TURNER REFUSED TO GET THE SENSOR BACK IN WORKING CONDITION. BILL LEFT ME STANDING OUTSIDE,WENT BACK INSIDE ALONG WITH ALL THE EMPLOYEES THAT WERE THERE WHEN I ARRIVED . THEY WENT ON WITH THEIR DAILY BUSINESS AS IF I WAS NEVER THERE . Needless to say I was forced to notify SAPD a case number was filled and I will be seeking an attorney for further action. I WILL NEVER EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN ! Wow! Blew me away......I didn't take just any car to them - - I took my 1996 Caddy Fleetwood Brougham Limousine to them to have them repair some minor rust issues and repaint the entire car. I FOUND THE RIGHT PLACE! They delivered the car as promised on time - there was a minor communication issue that delayed me picking it up one day and the owner himself called me, apologized, and offered to drop the car off! Let's see you get that type of service from another body shop. The prep work, the paint job, everything about the experience was way above average - - in a business world where "average" is becoming the accepted norm - it's refreshing to find a shop and its staff that delivers what they promised - on time and top-quality work. That shows a service-focused and honest staff. I am wondering on some of the "negative" reviews if they were in the right place. Danny, Dan, and Laura are to be commended. They have my firmest recommendation for you and your car. If you don't at least give them a try - you'll be selling yourself short. Young chunky guy I spoke to last year acted like he did not give a damn and he wanted to go to sleep. The price quoted was $699 plus $100 more because it is a small truck. I argued this was a small truck and should not be charged the $100 extra. I agree the extra charge is justified on the larger pickup trucks but not mine. Also I wanted the factory original color. They would not budge on the price. Also I saw a sign on their wall saying approximately not to expect a perfect job. There will be imperfections. I had a 6 door dings and they wanted a ridiculous $400 to repair. $1200 total is too much for a half ass job. read more

I dropped my car off on Monday, and picked it up on Thursday! The body work looks awesome, and the paint job is incredible. The front office staff are the best. All my questions were answered, and the job was performed prior to expected. My phone calls were answered promptly, and they worked with me regarding my insurance and car rental, insuring that I was not inconvenienced by delays. Their work and professionalism are more than I expected, and the cost of my repairs were well below what other body shops had quoted! alright basically the reason i gave it three stars is for a few reasons. for one its because i averaged out their rating based on 4 other ratings and they are: Price:5/5 Work:4/5 Time:3/5 Quality:3/5 it deserves a higher three but a 4 is too much for what i was looking for. Firstly the price is obvious. There is almost NO OTHER PLACE you can go that will give you a full body paint job for $1200-$1600 that consists of 3 coats of paint, 3 clear coats, wet-sanding and a lifetime warranty for the ultimate choice. HOWEVER, there are two problems here. ONE is that the price is perfect but the overall quality is about average. there are areas on my car that are a bit darker than others and some that are a bit more dull and unpolished-looking. in other words its consistency is just average and no more than that. the SECOND problem is apparently they have changed their ultimate choice plan from costing $900 to $1600. they added one more coat of clear coat and an additional wet sand and buff. so the price is now much more than before. They also took over 3 weeks to finish my car (but i cant really blame them since they have a lot of customers). and last the quality is just average and not much more.there were also 5 small dents or so that they must have missed and failed to pop out. they are a bit hard to see so I can understand to a certain extent. In conclusion if you are looking for a place to give you a decent paint job for an insanely good price i would DEFINITELY recommend them but if you are looking for a place that is pure quality and don't mind a higher cost then i would go elsewhere. this is a place for a good quality/cost ratio. oh and my car is a 1993 RX7 read more

I would not recommend anyone going here. Someone hit my car so I went to one of their different locations and and got a quote. I gave the quote to the insurance company and made an appointment for the work. I show up to my appt to see a sign on the bldg saying they moved. I got there and they said 2 days. They called and said it was ready. As I am driving up I can see from the road that the dent is still there and the bottom piece had not been touched. All they did was paint over the dent. I asked them to come out to the car and showed them everything that they did not do. He said he would make it right and it would be done in 3 days. So 3 days later, 2 hrs before they close, I called to see if it was done as I had not heard from them. They said they were frantically trying to finish buffing it out and be done by closing time. I show up and the car is on the lot and I can tell it had not been touched for at least a couple of hrs. It was raining when I called and had stopped shortly afterwards. The car was wet. I check the car and the bottom piece had still not been fixed. I ask him to come out again and showed him what still wasn't done. He tells me he can't fix it. Can't fix it?? They are a body shop. He won't fix it. He says the guy at the other location did not quote me correctly. My opinion, this is not my problem. He doesn't want to fix or replace the piece because the cost. I now can't go back to the insurance company because they have already paid me according to what was quoted. In order to get my keys I had to pay them. They only took off $100 from the quote. I cannot get my car fixed correctly for that amount. Don't go here!!! read more
