Highly recommended! I have 2 outdoor lanterns (front door and garage). Both bulbs have been out awhile because I haven't been able to find replacements. Come to find out, the bulbs have been discontinued. I contacted Megan at First Choice to see what I should do. She was able to locate the bulbs through a 3rd party but each one would have been $40 apiece. She said for only a few dollars more, we could replace both lanterns with solar lanterns and then never to have to worry about replacing bulbs again and that's exactly what we did! Jim from First Choice did a great job installing them. They are so much brighter that the lanterns we had before (WHEN they worked!). We will definitely use them again! read more

My husband and I responded to a Craigslist ad to a property they manage on Wentworth Ave in Cranston. We were shown the property by a representative from First Choice and was informed the heat is powered by oil. This was reiterated several times in conversations and in writing that the heat for the apartment was powered by oil and the gas was for cooking only. Our Rent would include Heat and hot water and we would be responsible for electricity and cooking gas. I was so happy finally we had an apartment that was just right and affordable. We signed the lease with everyone (myself, First Choice, and my landlord) under the assumption that the apartment was heated by oil and that all 6 units at Wentworth Ave were heated by Oil which is why the heat was included. As the months got colder our "cooking gas" bill began to increase. I called National Grid and they state that my apartment is heated by Gas and I am paying for gas heat and cooking gas! After having a licenced Pipefitter trace the piping it was confirmed that my apartment and all 6 units on Wentworth are heated by gas, as there are 6 individual gas meters including one for the dryer. There is an oil tank but it heats the hot water! For three months I have been paying for heating gas when my lease said heat and hot water included. From the beginning my husband and I were told our apartment and the 5 others were heated by oil! Furthermore, after myself and my husband called them to ask if they were aware they insisted that the apartment was heated by oil. I had to pay a licensed Rhode Island Pipefitter to confirm that the property is in fact heated by gas and not oil as well as take time out of work! They do not return phone calls, they offer no help, and they are completely unaware of the situation! Their name is on the lease! If a property management company does not know how their property is heated how can they manage a property? What if there was a Fire? That should be a number one safety concern for them since they manage the property.! Even more so if they manage this property they must have known the apartment and 5 other units were in fact heated by gas and not oil. They manage several other units in this condo and I feel they "baited and switched" misinforming myself, my husband and landlord by informing us heat was included because the house was heated by oil as all units shared the same heating unit. This is completely false information! Here my husband and I are thinking we are just paying for cooking gas when in fact we are paying for heating gas when in fact our lease which is signed by First Choice states heat and hot water included. They lied to us from the beginning and falsely advertised. My husband and I are good people so we are going to continue to pay the gas and work with our landlord to help resolve the matter. If there is anyone who should be upset it should be him. I do not recommend any individual or business to work with First Choice. Anyone who is currently doing business might want to re-think their decision. read more

These people are scum. $300 condo fee every month for what? Living in a land fill? Tons of old rotting furniture and mattresses outside the buildings, trash everywhere, broken pieces of tile in the hallway, parking lot in desperate need of paving? Literally the invoice from the electrician says that a maintenance person ADMITTED there was water damage IN THE COMMON PANEL IN THE BASEMENT and this lying slum lord wants to say it hasn't been an issue since 2018? And basically telling us to screw off not to contact her again even though we are family of the owners and contacting the association on behalf of them. These people are the worst. And Christine, if you really looked into the situation you would have seen I called the emergency maintenance the night before around 11pm because the lights were flickering on and off and then power went out in 4/6 rooms and I wasn't going to call and wake up MY MOTHER INLAW so she could call herself. Unfortunately, I am at a loss for words in which First Choice Property Management handled my crisis. I rented in April 2017 from them. A nice 3 bd. in Woonsocket. The property manager at the time was caring ,and fair in all business transactions. There is a metal door in the foyer of my two story house on Cumberland Hill Road. The door has been slamming shut recently. On Friday Feb.15th my beloved Mini Australian Shepherd was caught in the door as a result of it slamming shut. I called and spoke to Megan (new property manager) I was crying and she had the audacity to put me on hold for a long time with no explanation why. I called back and she explained she would put in a work order. At this time my dog was paralyzed. I tried for a week to help my little buddy save his life, but to no avail we lost the fight . The maintenance man came and adjusted the metal contraption that controls the movement of the door. The day before I lost my dog I went to talk to them about this horrific experience. They explained to me there was no problem with the door, but just the day before it had been adjusted and know it closes slower. They were rude and I asked to speak with the manager. I was told to get out of her office I was not allowed in there. I became upset and asked what were they going to do to compensate my horrific loss. They yelled at me and told me to leave. As I was crying and leaving they called me names and yelled I should not have a dog there anyways! My Mini was with me when I rented one year ago. Not only do I have a dog all two other renters in the building have dogs. My little baby lost his life on Feb 22. I am in shock! They clearly do not take any responsibility for any defect. As a result, I am leaving this apartment, without my beloved Mini Aussie. I cannot express my deep pain and frustration at the unprofessional practice and lack of responsibility First Choice Property Management has shown. I can't stress enough - do not use them! Every single interaction with them was terrible! They do not maintain properties as they are contracted to. When a concern is brought to their attention not only do they not take care of it they actually try to blame the residents of their properties. The building I live in is for sale and there have been SEVERAL occasions where strangers have showed up at my door asking come in without any notice. I have no way of knowing who this people are. To be fair, I have received notice three times. The most recent accusing me of and weirdly reprimanding me for not letting an appraiser in when a friend of mine was, in fact, there to let them in while I was away on vacation. Not only will I not be renewing my lease (after having happily lived in my apartment for two years), I will be looking into options to have it terminated early due to this company's consistently unprofessional behavior. read more
