I was looking for a consignment store while visiting a Houston for work. This place has it all! Amazing service, prices, and unique pieces that you won't find anywhere else. I did walk around and it was nicely laid out, I was able to find the bag I was looking for and at a good price. When I visit for work again, I will definitely stop by again. read more

Disappointment. I have been a longtime customer and consignor and have been misdirected and lied to so many times over the last month that I will no longer do business with them. I believe that the business has gotten so big that it has become disorganized and disconnected. For example, I made an order and planned to pick it up. When I went to the store to pick it up, I was told that it had been shipped instead. A week went by and nothing. I reached out to the business and got no response for 3 days. Finally, they responded and said it hasn't been shipped yet but will be. I waited another week and heard nothing again. I reached out again, and this time it took even longer. At this point, they said it would be shipped again. Three days later, I got my package, but it was missing one item. I messaged again, and at this point they told me they had lost the item. I definitely feel that if I hadn't been persistent, my order never would have arrived and no one would have ever told me about my "lost" item. When I attempted to express my disappointment, I got an insincere apology, and they were completely fine when I said I was questioning continuing business with them. We had planned for a week to have my consigned items picked up, and now, at 7:45 the night before, they are telling me I cannot come. I highly do not recommend doing business with First Dibs. They do not communicate, they are dishonest, and they are not genuine. read more

They always have a great variety of items, especially when it comes to clearance and shoes. I love shopping during their "Clear the Rack" events when clearance gets an extra 25% off. It's the perfect time to score great deals and gifts. Parking is plentiful, the store is always clean and well organized, and they offer in-store pickup, which is super convenient. Definitely one of my go-to spots for shopping!

I came inside the store just to check to see if they had any vintage glass specifically…read moreWestmoreland Bird Nest candy dish, carnival glass, and swung vases to add to my collection. As I walked around the store, I noticed that it was more antique furniture and knick knacks. There were two booths dedicated to vintage glass. In the store front window to the right was some peach luster, avon glass, stretched vases and towards the back near the cashier station was a rather large booth that was fully lit. I looked in the lit booth where none of the price tags were showing, but it was a huge collection of Fenton Glass and some of it was carnival. As I was about to leave the store, I thought maybe to ask one of the vendors about prices and to be shown pieces. I asked one vendor who was sitting out front drinking a coffee and reading a magazine. He gladly assisted me. I asked to see the stretched opalescent glass vase as I was keen to find out the maker. He encouraged that I ask the owner who was the cashier. I walked up to her with the piece and said, "Hi" could you remind me whose the maker on this beautiful piece?" The owner gave me the biggest attitude and was being condescending towards me. She said, "and you don't know who makes this?!" I told her that I had forgotten. She said, "well obviously this is Fenton" and proceeded to look it up on Google. She goes on to mention Fenton is an American brand. She was not only ugly towards me, but her and the other vendor was prejudiced to think just because I forgot the maker on that piece that I was completely clueless on all vintage glass. The owner convinced me to buy the piece, but after dealing with her snobby attitude I decided not. Before I left, I asked the vendor guy to show me this fenton carnival glass cat and carnival glass fairy lamp. I mentioned to the guy that the cat was carnival glass, the guy tells me, "uhhh, no I don't think so because this vendor gets her inventory from China and it's iridescent glass". So then I ask him to show me the fairy lamp which I told him, it's carnival fairy lamp. He picks up the piece looks at the nametag and turns to me to say, "ohh you really do know what you're talking about because the name plate said exactly what you mentioned." I just left the store because the experience was terrible. Awful owner who has superiority complex. Lack of friendliness.

The staff are super friendly and welcoming, shout-out to Bryan (the general manager?) and the official judge for the event. Plus I had a great conversation with him and Michael(?) about MTG; they're definitely very passionate about board & card games. They have anti-scalping policies in place for Pokemon. As for the space itself, decent amount of parking (more in the back). They're very popular for Warhammer, so there's a ton of product for those who play, and several tables set-up with many people playing all afternoon next to us (the 'playing hall' is pretty large!). They also have an aisle with board games for sale, and a counter with TCG products. Restrooms are spacious and clean. All in all, The Forge is pretty much all you can ask for in a LGS; they're also independently owned! I wish I live closer, but I'll definitely be here again soon!

BEWARE!! Taking in too many items at once to sell is a big mistake. Store owners are very lax in keeping up with the sale inventory resulting in a loss of revenue to you. Owners cannot account for lost items or the cost of each item sold. I took in over 30 pieces of clothing and received 7 unsold items back. I requested a list of what each item sold for to verify the funds I received --- No accountability was ever provided. I suggest you get a receipt with a description for each item you leave for sale - I was too trusting. read more
