Even with a POA in hand (which has been in effect for years with no prior issues) and an offer for in-person identification of whatever was needed, they would not open an account for her. Don't go here if you have a disability. They broke major ADA law and discriminated based on improper training. The other credit union down the road was happy to work with us and very professional and accommodating. Four of my family members bank with Embold but will be changing to the other banking institution now just to drive home the point of supporting businesses who operate with basic human decency and try to find solutions instead of making things overly complicated. I feel it's important that the general public is aware that there are more ethical places to entrust their personal banking to. Additionally, the new hire (whom I believe her name is also Jessica) could use a brush up in effective communication and listening skills and how to properly represent a company when a banking client has a sensitive and already stressful life scenario. The first time the branch closed all of our accounts and reopened new accounts, really seemed like they cared. Second time of being hacked they did nothing, went to the bank three days later to try and get accounts closed and open new as we did before, but the Local branch manager came out and responded that we need to find a different bank. Not sure what to think of this as we have always had positive dealings with this branch but is she telling me US Bank doesn't want our business or is she saying she doesn't feel the bank can keep our money safe. Note she is a fairly new branch manager. I went to a different bank in town and believe me I would never go back to US Bank for anything. They have changed and not for the better. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere this branch of US Banks simply needs to close.

When I came back they lied again and said the machine shredded it. So I called the Head office in Corvallis. They said they talk to the branch manager. Then the branch manager lied and said that my Credit Union put a freeze on it for fraud. I called my credit union Siskiyou Central Credit union. They said they did not put a freeze on the card and that someone there should have been able to return my card. The people at Oregon State Credit Union are a bunch of Ignorant CLOWNS. Avoid them.

I just found it and called the issuing bank and they said no problem, it is good, go to your bank and cash it. So on an 90 degree day and fighting Friday traffic I go to the bank, where I have been a customer since 1992, had a mortgage and have several accounts. The teller took about 10 mins to try to figure out what to do, then she went to the manager, for another 10 mins, then the manager called me in, then the manager disappeared for about another 5-10mins...bottom line can't cash check, it is beyond 6 mos old....well, thanks a lot...had I not been so locked into Chase with multiple credit cards, debit cards and direct deposits coming in, and auto pay going out I would have dumped those people and closed all accounts.

However our biggest complaint is the ATM fees we would get hit by the bank and the fees would be $14.00 and they are really quick to hit your account . The other thing is when depositing larger amounts the bank does not allow you to get most of that for several days . That does not work to well for vehicle payments . Plus ever since covid you can't go into any branch to get service . Very disappointed went with a better bank and credit union .
