On Tuesday 10/03 in the morning I called and the person who answered was Makenzie who was helpful and friendly. She suggested I have a pre visit telephone call to get my information and have a detailed packet set up for me to look at. I thought that seemed time efficient and agreed to have someone call me later that day.No one called. Next morning someone did call but I was busy so ask them to call back in 10 .They said they would but never did. I waited the entire day and did not hear anything so on Thursday 10/5 in the morning I called again and waited but not a word.I DID try to call back 2 times Thursday.First message said I had a 19 minute wait time.A few hours later message said 16 minutes. They also had a choice of getting a call back but it dropped me before I could leave my number.Friday I found another place who wanted my business and I opened my account with them.Gone much of the morning but had my phone and never got a call or message that day either. If you want to give your hard earned money to a bank with no follow through that is too bust to respond in 3 full days time then by all means go there.Me.....Dont have the patience and dont want to do business with any business who does not value me as a customer.

Their interest rate on loans is WAY under regular banks, and its fee structure is as such that I haven't paid a fee to them in decades. I learned long ago to avoid loyalty to any business that takes my money. But Rivermark is worth my loyalty. You have access to a live employee by video during hours M-F 8am-8pm and Sat 10am-6pm. Outside of those hours you can use the Walk-In ATM as a regular ATM. It's a secure entrance, using your debit card to get in and it's completely enclosed. There's no branch here, but the Kiosk ATM works great, and you can do probably about anything that you could do at a regular branch during the hours when a live employee is available by video. I highly recommend Rivermark Community Credit Union not just for this great technology, but also for their 2% interest checking. It's hard to beat that!

She really didn't know what to do. I asked her if she could duplicate the same number on the one that I lost and she was bewildered. She made me a card but it had a different number. When I went to use the card to pay for an item, it didn't work because she didn't activate it. I went in again to get another card and the same employee made a new card and activated it but told me that I could not use it for more than 7 days. As a result, I can't use a debit card for a minimum of of a week and possibly 11 days.

Run from this place FAST!!! Go with a credit union that makes you feel good to have your money there. The owner of this credit union has remained quiet when I complained about the atmosphere there. There is not very many First Communities therefore you can not be accommodated when out of town. You have to see same crappy employees . With other credit unions you can go to a near by location.

They began in 1957 in Corvallis, Oregon and unlike many other banks which began in this fine state, they stuck around and are STILL headquartered here in (Corvallis) Oregon!! What earns this five-star review is their unparalleled level of customer service; never any lines because every employee is always willing to help a customer, always a real person answering the phone when I call, got to know me by name from the day I opened my account, immediately takes care of any issue I have and even checks in with me to see if they can improve their customer service! It's an old-fashioned handshake-kind-of-feel with a modern twist. The Salem branch in particular is a great one because it's of that newer micro-branch kind of design. A small downtown footprint however, big enough to send an employee out to my business whenever I need help with remote deposit capture or the need for a notary when in a pinch. If you're unhappy with your financial institution, give them a call or stop by. You won't regret it, trust me!
