Our first time at a minor league game and I have to say I really enjoyed it. If you've ever been to Petco park, you know the crowds, lack of affordable seating (nosebleed seats are not fun) can be off putting, not to mention the high cost of parking and traffic. So needless to say, this was such a nice surprise. While we were lucky enough to have been invited to a suite, looking around there is not a bad seat in the house. Lots of younger kids were in the stands, so I am looking forward to bringing my grandsons. Its a cashless facility, which I've never experienced before. I use my credit card for everything to get points, so it didnt bother me. The facility was pretty clean and I was happy to see a station for nursing mothers. Things like that truly show a family friendly vibe and I am here for it. The lines at the snack stands didnt seem too bad, and the baseball was full of oh no and oh yea moments. Nashville was home to me for 20 years before I moved to Florida. After a 5-year absence, I finally went back, and my son and his wife took me to a Sounds game. It's a very nice minor league stadium with plenty of dining and drink options. There's a little something for everyone. Plus, it was a great game. We won! The place is clean and secure, and everyone I interacted with was super nice and friendly. Food prices are what you'd expect from a sports venue, but the quality was excellent--everything we had tasted great. If you're in town for a few days, I highly recommend catching a game here as part of your visit. You'll have a great time! read more

I was at First Horizon Park for Pizza City Fest Nashville and not a baseball game. This is a nice clean large venue. The attendance was much less than the capacity of this stadium. There were ample restrooms, power to keep the pizza ovens going, and the beverage service was good. I'd easily return! read more

First Horizon Park is home of the Nashville Sounds, the pride and joy of the Nashville locals that love the game of baseball! The team is a Triple-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers, so it's really cool to watch the journey of some of the players, both ways. The park itself is one of my favorite ballparks. From the concessions, to the pro shop to the extracurriculars you can take part in before, during or after the game. Speaking of, this includes basketball, mini golf, cornhole and several other games. The concessions, namely The Band Box is an absolute favorite! Honestly spend more time bellied up to the bar than I do in my seat! The park is easy to navigate, in good shape and clean on game days. Staff is usually friendly and helpful. Parking is plentiful with a few lots and a garage surrounding the park. I usually park in the garage near right field gates, as it's easy in/out and only costs $15. Another cool think about First Horizon is once the game is over, you don't have to go home just yet...you can hang out at one of the many restaurants and bars on the same block! This is a great minor league baseball stadium. Parking is easy in the adjacent parking garage or you can park anywhere in the city and walk here. Tickets are reasonably priced and they have lots of food vendors (lots of good restaurants are within walking distance too). The beer selection is great and much better than some MLB ballparks that we've been to before. The view of the game is great and I can't see any seat that wouldn't give you a great experience. We came on a Friday night so there were fireworks and they were much better than we were expecting and lasted longer too. It's a really nice ballpark all around we'll definitely be back for another game! read more

While driving around downtown Nashville on my first full day, I passed by the main gates of First Horizon Park. I saw that it was the home of the Nashville Sounds. The team is in the minor leagues and is the triple-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. It was a hot day and this ballpark was closed. Instead, I drove around it to check things out. Entrances are clearly marked. Centre and right fields have their own entrance. I'm sure that there are others, but was more focused on getting a glimpse of the playing field. Next to the latter field is the ticket office. The catch is the guitar-shaped scoreboard. You are able to see the score when you're seated in the ballpark. Sadly, I only was able to see the back of it. It still looked cool, though. I don't know whether concerts are held here. I can see it happening on a cooler day than when I was there. Otherwise, with the heat, you could roast hot dogs and you seated in the bleachers, I'd imagine. I like that there are restaurants and bars around this ballpark. If you want to grab a bite before or after the game, you can. There are parking lots nearby. I don't know how crazy they get when there's a game. They were pretty quiet when I was there in the early afternoon of a non-game day. It was nice passing by this ballpark. It looked pretty new and I'm sure that you can get a great view of the playing field no matter where you sit. (263) read more

Came here for a Sounds baseball game on a Wednesday night. The ballpark is awesome! However the concessions stand above the third baseline was terrible. Ordered chicken, rang me up and paid for it, but they were out (in the third inning!). Extremely rude customer service. Didn't know how to work the register to give me a refund. Every customer around me was frustrated. It was terrible customer service. But the mascot was fun. Got pictures with him. I came with a group that included 3 small kids; each one received a baseball from a player or coach which was really cool. read more

Alright, as a girly who's been in Nashville for years (7+) I've finally visited. I'm not a baseball extraordinaire but I do know a stadium. This was mid, probably should've expected that. Food was not bad but it wasn't...good, could probably eat way better before, at so many local spots (like park early eat and walk, trust me) $11 & $12 for ALL beer+wine, $13 plus for an any kinda sugar cocky mix they made a few days ago. You can get a miller/bud/coors light for $4 tho so that's nice to watch the game with :) read more

I got a "behind the scenes" tour of the park about a month ago and I was surprised at how impressive this ball park looks. The food options look amazing; Smokehouse BBQ, Hot or not Chicken, pizza, funnel cakes, and mini melts Ice cream. The bars here are fully loaded and I'm very excited to check-out the Band Box which is a bar right in front of the outdoor Picnic Place and Power Alley seating area. The place to park is near the center field entrance which is within walking distance to a paid parking garage. Before I left, I bought some Nashville Sounds gear a couple of hats and a shirt to get ready for the season, but then COVID-19 hit and halted all sports and outdoor activities. Hopefully this season won't be too impacted, and the healthy Nashville masses can return to the park and cheer on the home team. read more

From a cold hot dog bun to an overcrowded ballpark because they combined Star Wars & Boy Scout night on the same day to storm troopers walking all over this joint, this is the WORST ballpark experience I've ever had. Idiots having "lightsaber" fights in the crowded concourse...POORLY BEHAVED CHILDREN THAT ARE NOT BEING WATCHED, even in premium seats. And whoever designed this place is an idiot - who only covers two rows of the club level seats and about five rows of the regular seats? I paid MLB prices for this? Okay, the guitar scoreboard is kitschy. The mini golf course & corn hole games? I had to navigate through THAT bottleneck because there are no signs pointing you to to anything from outside. This is home of the Nashville Sounds minor league baseball team. The venue is absolutely gorgeous! Everything was so clean and organizes. Lots of choices for food and drink. I would recommend the whiskey and coke slushy. Great on a humid day. I also had their chicken tenders which were off the chart good. There was so much flavor and they were perfectly cooked. We actually took an order to go. Having that for lunch today. Baseball team is awesome and there is not a bad seat in the stadium. read more

I really like First Tennessee Park. It is home to both the minor league team the Nashville Sounds, and the Nashville Soccer Club. I've been here to see both and both were equally as fun. The stadium itself is centrally located downtown near the Nashville Farmer's Market and the capitol. There is plenty of parking surrounding the stadium and there are always police officers there to help guide people. The staff at the stadium are super nice and security lines are quick and painless. The restrooms are clean and there are multiple food vendors. Even if you aren't a big sports fan I introduce to you the band box. The band box is a huge bar next to a lounge and game area. There is corn hole and ping pong among other games. You could literally spend the entire game doing things besides watching the actual baseball or soccer game. Although I like how open the stadium is when it is cold and/or inclement weather you are pretty exposed to the elements. There are some vendors under a covered area but most of the stadium is not covered. In my opinion, a day at First Tennessee Park is a day well spent. read more

Check out the "Band Box" in right field for alcoholic slushies, cornhole, and ping pong. Right next to it is a 9 hole mini golf (that my kids MUST play every time we come). When you come here, you get the best of both worlds: professional baseball and a good time. The event staff at every level & aspect of the scheduled activities are seemingly focused on providing an inviting & memorable experience for the attendees. Had a blast at the Nashville Sound game! We had a patio area reserved for a small send off for my son, future daughter in law and 18 of their closest friends! Our server, Courtney, was on point. You would've never known she's been off doing other things for the past 2 years. The drink and food prices were as you'd expect at a ball park. The quality of the food was very good. We had nachos, which seemed to be made to order and loved the queso and corn on them. Lots of people ordered burgers, which came wrapped in foil, so not made to order, but def fresh! I ordered the hotdog -when at a baseball game, what else do you get?! I loved that it came with mustard, catsup and relish on the side. It was really good! Did I mention the food came almost instantly?! Courtney def got her steps in last night! The drinks also came super quick. I was drinking margaritas, and even though I knew they came from a can, they were served with a slice of lime. Nice touch! The greatest part was being able to take our masks off while in our bubble in the patio. If we needed to leave the area, masks on. To top off the enjoyment, we stayed for the epic fireworks! Wow! First Horizon Park is a stellar upgrade for a home field for the Sounds. It's one of the best AAA parks I've been to and there's not a bad seat in the house. Views of the field, views of the Nashville skyline, proper coverage to protect you from the heat a bit. Nice layout with plenty of vendor and booth space including bars. Prices on concessions are what you'd expect but better than the Major leagues. The food is mostly really good ballpark food, too. It's a great place to see a baseball game. read more

The park also features the field-adjacent bar The Band Box, complete with ping pong tables, mini golf, and cornhole. It was everything you'd expect from the experience from the smell of hot dogs roasting to the snippets of pop music blasting in between breaks to the finale of fireworks on center field. The breeze was a welcome gift to the sweltering day, but we were in great spirits as the home team won 9 to 5. Nashville is such a blessed city to have not only the amazing Nashville Predators, but also our hometown Nashville Sounds. 3.5/5 First Tennessee Park is a beautiful stadium! It is home to the Nashville Sounds and, most recently, Nashville SC. I was able to enjoy my first visit to FTP for a NSC game! The intimacy of a smaller stadium made the atmosphere so much more exciting. FTP offers a comfortable (as can be) seating, clean bathrooms, a patio-esque area with couches, connect four, shuffle board, putt putt, etc, clean bathrooms, and well laid out entrance and seating areas. A couple concerns are the limited parking in proximity to FTP and lack of beer choices. Parking I think will come over time as Nashville continues to develop. Lack of beer was odd as the bar did not even have the options that were listed on their menu. They had quite a few can selections throughout the stadium, but if you wanted draft, you had to go all the way back to the one location that serves it. Food was as to be expected for a ball park - mediocre. I'm looking forward to coming back for Sounds and NSC games! read more

Was so excited to visit this ballpark. Disappointed/epic fail is my review. I wore a small over the shoulder purse which was about 1" too big. It contained my small credit card sized wallet, phone and hotel key. NOT ALLOWED, TOO BIG. Security suggested I lock purse in my car. MY CAR IS AT AN OUT OF STATE AIRPORT. Asked if I could have my husband go to merch store and purchase a clear bag, empty contents into it and roll my empty purse for entry. NOPE. I offered to empty my purse contents in their security tray. NOPE. There was no wiggle room. None!!!! I ended up stashing my empty purse in a security dudes pick up truck so I could enter the park. Obviously not a comfortable feeling. We grabbed a beer, a dog, a few pictures, and quickly left. Visiting was a bucketlist trip. Glad I went but completely disappointed with the whole visit. What frustrated most, inside I noticed parents carrying very large diaper bags, and several fans with non-clear purses and drawstring bags way larger than my tiny fabric purse. The ballpark is beautiful. But some of these rules, come on!!!! Truly didn't meet any staff that made this visit special. I even asked a gal what was being built behind the park, apartments? She had no clue. You failed me, Nash. You failed this HUGE baseball fan. Glad I saw you, will NEVER come back. read more

What?? I wanted to give the park a 5 star rating but I fully recognize that my experience was a bit out of the norm so I lowered it to a 4. That said, it's obvious that money, time and effort went into the park and as it welcomes club soccer to Nashville and continues to house the Sounds, I look forward to FTP having even more visitors and adding even more excitement to Nashville. It's pretty unusual for a city to have its sports venues within a few miles of each other. Yet, Downtown Nashville holds FTB and Bridgestone Arena while Nissan Stadium sort of anchors its own neighborhood just across the river. This means that during games/concerts, getting around is even more of a chore than it is regularly. Hopefully this will be the impetus to increase pedestrian traffic/access to/in Music City. Wow. Tangent. Sorry. FTP... it wasn't an accident that Nashville baseball traveled from Greer to FTP. Nashville is making power moves and, right now, the nucleus of those moves is Downtown. You have to follow the money. If you're confused, might I suggest you look up? Yeah. Cranes. High Rises. Gleaming shiny buildings. You see where I'm going? FTP fits well within this new(er) look. I came here (in theory) to watch the Sounds. In reality, I took advantage of the suite life. Much like its neighbor other arena/stadium, FTP appreciates its corporate benefactors and it's built out special places for them. To begin, there's a separate suite entry into the Park. With less traffic and a covered staircase, your ballpark experience already starts on a good note. From there, you make your way to the suite and... yes: a fantastic view of the field; private outdoor seating so you can really take in the game; private air-conditioned indoor seating so you can avoid the elements; all sorts of savory and sweet ballpark foods (hot dogs, pizza, gourmet chips, salads, cookies, brownies, etc.); and more booze than a Real New Jersey Housewife could drink (wine, beer, liquor). Do you need anything else for a ball game? No. No you don't. Obviously, taking in a Sounds game from this vantage point is 5-stars. Realizing, though, that enjoying a game at the Park isn't always like this, I didn't think it was fair to categorize every experience as the one I had. That said, the Park is shiny and new. The views are great. The location is central to transportation and post-game fun. The seats are comfortable and the staff is extremely helpful. FTP is better than some major league ballparks I've been to. As sports traffic to this venue continues to grow, I'm excited for more Middle Tennesseans to come enjoy the new, improved look of non-hockey/football. Play ball! read more

This is truly a lovely ballpark. I had the pleasure of visiting here for a Sounds game right after it first opened; sitting in the upper area with a bag of peanuts, a beer, and a nice breeze. I've returned since for a few Sounds games, all of which have been enjoyable. While I appreciate baseball, I'm not a huge fan. However, when FTP agreed to allow our then new USL soccer club, Nashville SC, to call this park home, I started visiting a lot more. FTP does a great job turning the diamond into a pitch, and more-than-tolerates us soccer supporters. It's nice to feel wanted. (Although some supporters are too rowdy for sure.) In fact, one vendor told me she prefers serving the soccer crowd over the baseball folks. She couldn't really explain why other than soccer supporters are just as nice...but "cooler". Haha. Security is painless (and is lax in my opinion if I'm gonna be blunt -- except when they break your handbag), the bathrooms have a great layout and seem to be clean most of the time, part of the venue is covered which helps immensely when unexpected, undesirable weather strikes, and overall the venue is easy to navigate. Positives aside, l'll give three reasons why I deducted two stars: 1. Parking. With the recent developments of restaurants and housing around the park (thanks to Nashville ever-growing), it's become a lot harder to find parking. It looks like FTP is building an addition, and I don't know what it intends to house. Perhaps a garage?!? 2. Recent beer selection...has sucked. Not everybody and their mama wants an IPA, or a cider, or fruit in their beer. Will somebody please throw in a brown or a red ale somewhere?! Anywhere?!?! Draft. Can. Whatever. I'll take it. And no, don't give me a stout and call it a brown. That's crap. I walked around to every beer station, and then into the new Twice Daily cooler thinking for sure I'd find a brown or a red ale *somewhere*. Nope. Look, I know it's summer, but if you're gonna sell a stout.... 3. The Pro Shop is closed on match days. I get we are there to watch a soccer match, so the Sounds' Pro Shop isn't necessarily going to be the first choice amongst attendees to shop. The Titans kept their Pro Shop closed too in the past, but I think it was eventually realized they were missing out on some decent sales. I noticed they started selling a few other handy items in their store (e.g. mini tubes of sunscreen) and opening during sporting events that aren't NFL games -- such as when the USMNT and USWNT are playing at Nissan. Smart. The Sounds' Pro Shop should take note. And if USL Nashville SC is going to stay at FTP until at least 2022 (I don't know if they are - jus' sayin'), perhaps they should be invited to sell their merch in the Pro Shop too instead of fooling with all those tents and such? A baseball and soccer team shop open during every game/match?!? That'd be American brilliancy. read more

I must admit, I was probably the most excited girl in town to get a new ball park for the Sounds. Not only do I like ball park food more than I probably should, but I love having a nice new place to hang out in my neighborhood. Nestled in the middle of some (soon-to-be completed) construction in the North Capitol District, you will find one of the prettiest AAA ballparks you've ever seen. This place just screams Nashville. The scoreboard is a huge LED guitar. There is country music blasting, There are Goo Goo Cluster ads everywhere. And the mascot is a hot chicken. Oh, and there's baseball too. Affiliated with the Oakland A's, the Nashville Sounds have quickly found a great new home at FTP. You walk in and immediately notice that you are almost eye level with the field. The covered concourse is huge - making navigating the place much easier, and dodging any Tennessee summer storms no longer a worry. One of my favorite things about the new FTP is the fact that you can walk all the way around the park - never missing a single play. In the right outfield is the Band Box - a full service bar that overlooks the field, complete with lounging furniture, board games, tables, and yard games like corn-hole and shuffleboard. My only complaint there is that it should be 21 and up - to deter young kinds from hogging all the fun! Big fan of the Band Box's concession stand, also in the outfield. From the folks at Strategic Hospitality - this place is fantastic. Get the nachos. Best $8 you've ever spent. Thank me later. In terms of other facilities, the bathrooms are meticulously clean, the seats are comfortable (CUPHOLDERS!) and the staff is very friendly. FTP is always doing fun activities and promotions to drive attendance. Last weekend, they executed a flawless "Bark in the Park" event in which we could bring our dogs. We did and had a blast. My husband and I are season ticket holders for the new Nashville Sounds.. and I think we'll always be! What a great minor league park! We went to see the Giants farm team ply the local A's farm team last weekend and it was an absolute blast! The park had a great beer and liquor garden and had live music before the game. They have tons of fun activities like ping pong and cornhole to enjoy before during or after the game. Tickets were next to nothing even for front row right between home and 1st. The beers were around what you'd expect to pay for beer at a ballpark, but nowhere near as outrageous at $8 vs $12.50 back in SF at ATT park... All in all, great stadium, small, but with a big league park feel, definitely a great place to bring the family. I have heard there are tons of social events here as well that we will have to come back for. Enjoy the park!! read more

Great Park and Well Done Nashville on getting a new stadium! Hopefully we will have soccer there too. I have yet to experience a suite, however had a wonderful time at the game. If you don't like baseball, there are other things to do while your friends, family or significant other watches America's favorite past time. Food is nice of course, there are shows about how the food at every ball park is slated specially for the city. Nashville has it's own hotdog, I can't remember but hot dog people will like it. I saw Hot chicken somewhere and of course booze to make it a party with well booze. Getting here is easy peasy, GET AN UBER or LYFT. Why bother drinking and driving or parking. Love that the city has things so close. Nashville is one of the easiest cities. Although prices are getting to steep for people who expect it to stay same as the 1990's, people are making the move here and giving the city money to make stadiums like these. We are quite blessed/lucky to have a new stadium and you should go out and enjoy it at least once while you stay or live in Nashville. read more

I've been to about ten Nashville Sounds games in my thirty years as a Nashvillian, the first in my preteen years with a church group. When the new park was first proposed, I was pretty reluctant. I'd never been to a game at more than 45% capacity. Although Nashville has a long history with baseball, the price tag of a new stadium at the expense of the city seemed to not be worth it. "But Brandi," my husband said, "with the new park, more people will go. It'll be worth it in the end." 'Kay. We went, and it is beautiful. There's no point in me being annoyed any more about the cost to the taxpayer as what's done is done. The new park is definitely working hard, doing its job breathing life into the Sounds. I don't know that I personally will go any more regularly than I have, as its fun an exciting but I'm not enough of a fan to be a regular. The games and food and shop were definitely worthwhile amenities for even the most "bored by baseball" member of your household. The park still was only at 45-50% capacity, so I'll let hat observation speak for itself. read more

What a fantastic field! I'm really not into baseball, but I would come to these games every weekend! The field/ stadium is smaller than a major league stadium, but that's what I love about it! I love the small, intimate setting. They have corn hole, good food, clean bathrooms, great drinks, icecream, mini golf, grass and stadium seating, a fantastic picnic area, ping pong tables... The stadium is beautiful! We lucked into club level tickets, so we were treated to air conditioned hallways, a beautiful bar, padded seats, and a great view of downtown. It seems like every seat is a great seat though. There is a trendy bar area called The Band Box out in right field with loungers, corn hole boards, and an awesome atmosphere. It seems like a great place for a corporate event, too. As a bonus, parking couldn't have been easier. We parked at a free city lot I found on the Sounds website and walked through Bicentennial Park. I hadn't been to the new ballpark for the Sounds since it opened, so when there was a faith and family night hosted by the school one of my kids goes to I decided to take the family. In summary: The park is nicer than the old one, for sure, but the food is terrible, IMO, and terribly overpriced. First, a note about faith and family night: there was a band that played a few sets prior to the game. Then it was over. I don't know what I expected but it wasn't that. It was over really quick and if you don't come in right when the gates opened you miss out. FYI. The park is comfortable and clean. I loved the fun areas: there was ping pong, something that looked like mini golf ($), and inflatables ($) that were a dollar for three tickets/ slides. The bathrooms were clean and everything looked really inviting to me. I bought several food items to give them a try for me and my family. No one ate their CHICKEN STRIPS or HOT CHICKEN SANDWICH (which was two chicken strips with chili powder on a bun). There were not tasty and we threw them out. Considering that these were $10.50 each, I threw out probably $45 worth of food. The WAFFLE FRIES are over cooked, but at least we ate them. Don't think Chick-fil-A here. There's a huge difference in quality and taste, IMO. As for snacks, the POPCORN was dry, but edible. But the hat we got had the old Sounds logo. It's been like 3 years now so why isn't the logo right? We also got DIPPING DOTS ice cream that had melted a bit so it was gooey instead of dry ice dots. The kids still liked it and no one got sick. The SUNFLOWER SEEDS were stale even though the expiration date was next year. The POPCYCLES were a mixed bag. Some kids liked it, some threw theirs away. In the end, the game was a win for the Sounds and our family time was rewarding. But this isn't a cheap outing. The tickets were about $15 plus fees (so like $23 or so) each. Plus the food was about $15 for tenders, fries and a drink. Snacks or dessert push the per family member cost to something like $50 each. For AAA baseball, that's a lot. Parking was cheap at least at $10. My recommendation: get tickets and parking and eat prior to going, then get unlimited popcorn for the kids. Nothing else. The cost and taste of the food just isn't worth it, IMO. read more
