We came here on a Tuesday evening for dinner with family. There were five of us. We had…read morereservations. We started with the salad bar which includes lots of hot and cold selections. They bring mashed potatoes, fried plantains and cheesy bread to the table for everyone. All of the meat I tried was great along with everything I had from the salad bar. My fiancé can't stop talking about the wings and how incredible they were! The service was wonderful!

Traditional Brazilian barbecue uses coarse salt on the meat that is cooked over an open flame or direct heat source. None of the meat was seasoned this way. 2) Farofa (unforgivable oversight for Brazilians). 3) Lightly breaded, fried bananas - a churrascaria staple. 4) Picanha com alho (garlic) - They served a garlic covered cheaper piece of meat. 5) Creme de Papaya com Cassis. Service was efficient, and they ran a special for people celebrating their birthday. The birthday person gets their main course for free. 20% tip was automatically added. Our server reminded us that was divided between them and other staff and pointed out the space where we could add an additional tip. Ambiance was traditional Brazilian steakhouse, with a small salad bar with hot food selections, as well. Conclusion: If you want an authentic Brazilian Steakhouse / Churrascaria experience, you're better off driving into Philadelphia, to King of Prussia, or Easton where you can still find it. It's worth the drive at this price point.

I've recently been mesmerized by sister property Mezcal, and haven't been back to 618 in some time…read more Last night we were in the area and decided to swing by for a cocktail and appetizers. Very cool that Venue 618 was the only NJ restaurant to make the recent Yelp Top 100 restaurants in the US. Sitting at the bar, we were served by Zoey, Steve, and Mike. They've re-done their cocktail menu to include beautiful color illustrations. I enjoyed "One in a Melon," a well-balanced whiskey cocktail with Frank August small batch bourbon, melon, poblano pepper, Aperol, and lime. This was followed by a tasty whiskey sour. My wife ordered a Lemon Drop martini, followed by a decadent chocolate-pistachio dessert martini. All of the cocktails were well-balanced and delicious. On the food side, I munched on a baked macaroni & cheese with chorizo. It was perfect! The Death of Hospitality brand thrives on personalization and unexpected surprises. Mixologist Steve, realizing that I'm a whiskey afficionado, surprised me with a small pour of Rock Hill Farms Single Barrel bourbon. This is a difficult bottle to find in New Jersey. Rock Hill Farms was incredible, with a super long finish. Thanks for the memories 618!

The food was amazing. The filet mignon, halibut, and chicken Milanese all drew rave reviews from my guests. What made the night even more enjoyable was the outstanding service by June, Ro and Beverly. I got more compliments on the service than on the food. These ladies never stopped moving and made each guest feel like they were the only ones in the room at times. From the first minute guests entered until they were thanked by the ladies on their way out the door, these three ladies showed why they are an asset to your restaurant. If every party at 618 goes like this one, I will be hosting more celebrations there. Everything was 5 stars!

Nestled in an upscale million dollar neighborhood in Tahan, New Jersey on the border of Rockland…read moreCounty, this little Catering jewel is ideal for family celebrations or corporate events. Valet parking and the car was returned in the same condition we left it. The service was friendly and professional. A clear sign of excellent training was when I approached a server at the cocktail reception to inquire about my allium allergies, she immediately brought the banquet, maître D to discuss the options for me. It was clear that the allergy was not communicated to the establishment or within the establishment. Nonetheless, the concern was handled with care and thoughtful professionalism. The options that were still available to me or communicate communicated, and I had a wonderful meal. The grounds and garden are well designed for outdoor services. In this case, an outdoor wedding. Chairs were comfortable, and the fountain in the background created a lovely atmosphere and photo opportunity. The one critique I have is that no covering such as a gazebo or tent, was insight and thunderstorms were eminent. If I could recommend anything to the management, it would be to have this option on hand to avoid distractions from the actual ceremony. When thunder crackled in the background, we secretly hoped that the service would come to an end in time. Everyone was dressed in evening attire, so a gazebo or tent would have been appreciated. We were not inside more than 15 minutes when the skies did open up. Catastrophe averted. With the exception of one server who spilled wine on my son's newly pressed shirt, Service was meticulous. In the case of the red wine incident, this could have been averted by wrapping the wine bottle appropriately in a service linen. A little more training in this area would be recommend recommended. All in all, a solid four star event. The filet mignon, French green beans, and magnificent desserts were a five star Cleverly, our hosts prepared and end to the night with a coffee station and Donuts cleverly hanging on Hooks. The donuts were exceptional. It's difficult to rate without knowing the cost per person so I am limiting my rankings beginning with a five star and deducting minimally for a couple of challenges in service. The banquet maître D was exceptional.

My name is Sam, and my wife Amanda and I spent a long time searching for a venue that felt elegant but still warm and personal--and the Manor delivered on every level. From the very beginning, the experience was seamless. The staff was incredibly organized, responsive, and genuinely invested in making our day special. Planning a wedding can feel overwhelming, but they guided us through every step with patience and clarity. No question felt too small, and no request felt like a burden. That kind of support made a huge difference for us. The venue itself is stunning. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and the manor has this timeless, classic charm that makes everything feel elevated without being stuffy. Our ceremony was held outdoors, and even in early April, the setting felt magical. The landscaping created the perfect backdrop for photos--honestly, we barely had to "pose" because every angle looked incredible. Inside, the reception space was just as impressive. The room felt spacious but still intimate, and everything flowed perfectly--from cocktail hour to dinner to dancing. The staff coordinated everything so smoothly that Amanda and I were actually able to relax and enjoy the night instead of worrying about logistics. One thing that really stood out was the food. We had heard good things beforehand, but it exceeded expectations. Our guests are still talking about it weeks later. From the cocktail hour selections to the main courses, everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. They were also very accommodating with dietary needs, which was important to us. If I could give one piece of advice to future brides and grooms, it would be this: trust the team at Old Tappan Manor. They know exactly what they're doing. We came in with a vision, but they elevated it in ways we didn't even think of. Let them guide you--it will take so much stress off your shoulders. Also, take time on the day to really soak it in. The setting, the atmosphere, the way everything comes together--it goes by quickly, but it's unforgettable. Amanda and I both had moments where we just looked around and thought, "This is perfect," and that's something we'll carry with us forever. We truly couldn't have asked for a better place to start our marriage. If you're considering Old Tappan Manor, don't hesitate. It's not just a beautiful venue--it's a team that cares deeply about making your day everything it should be. --Sam & Amanda
